The NFL 2025 season is around the corner. That means it is time to place bets for the NFL awards. These consist of MVP, DPOY, OPOY, OROY, DROY, and COY. Let’s be safe with these predictions and win some money before the season even kicks off. Although I do have one pick that will surprise people, with the injuries and age of his teammates, I believe he can have the best numbers for all rookie wide receivers in 2025.
What!? Your fantasy football league wasn’t hosted on Fantrax last season!? Once you see how Fantrax stacks up to the competition, we think you’ll be singing a different tune in the 2025 season.
NFL Awards for the 2025 season
MVP – Lamar Jackson
Lamar Jackson is at +550 odds on DraftKings to win the MVP award. Last season, he had his best season of his career. In the previous two seasons, Jackson threw for a combined 41 touchdowns. In 2024, Jackson threw for 41 touchdowns.
I believe Josh Allen won the award just like when they gave Joel Embiid the NBA MVP a few seasons ago. Jackson is the best QB in the NFL and one of the best football players we have ever seen play. Not to mention, he had 915 rushing yards, which was his most since the 2020 season.
Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens came up short in the playoffs yet again last year, too. He is on a mission to capture another MVP award and finally get a Super Bowl trophy like he promised the Ravens on draft night.
OPOY – Bijan Robinson
Bijan Robinson had 1,886 total yards in 2024. Now, the third-year running back is set on his first OPOY award. Currently, Robinson is fifth at +1400 odds on DraftKings. He has another level and can average over 30 PPG in fantasy football.
At just 23 years old, he might already be the best running back in football. With Michael Penix to start for the Atlanta Falcons this upcoming season, Robinson will have to ease the load on his QB more than ever. He is my most confident pick in this NFL awards piece.
DPOY – Micah Parsons
The drama around Micah Parsons and his contract was fantastic entertainment this offseason. A player of his talent not getting the money he so rightfully deserves means one thing, and that is the chip on his shoulder in 2025.
Parsons is one of, if not the best, players at his position. Through four seasons for any OLB in history, Parsons is sixth with names like J.J. Watt and DeMarcus Ware around him. He has the second-best odds at +750 to win the DPOY in 2025.
DROY – Abdul Carter
Abdul Carter might be a clone of Micah Parsons. He even went to Penn State University, too. Carter joins a defensive line of the New York Giants that is the best in the NFL in 2025. In his final college season, he led the nation in tackles for loss and was an All-American. His odds are at +225 on DraftKings for a reason. With no room to double-team him, Carter should put up one of the better seasons a rookie OLB has ever had.
OROY – Emeka Egbuka
Emeka Egbuka might be the best wide receiver in class, and this upcoming season can easily show it. Mike Evans is 32 years old, Chris Godwin is injured, and so is Jalen McMillan. Egbuka played alongside Marvin Harrison Jr. and was almost forgotten about. He had 81 receptions, over 1,000 receiving yards, and 10 touchdowns in his final college season.
The buzz in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers camp is that Egbuka is legit, will surprise people, and could very well end up as the team’s WR1 after just one season. His odds are +2000 on DraftKings, which is the 8th best. For my NFL awards, I always want a spicy pick. This is the one.
COY – Sean Payton
Sean Payton took a break from coaching and is now back and has a legit shot in the AFC West to dethrone Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. He has his new Drew Brees in Bo Nix, and the Denver Broncos have the best defense in football. At +1600 odds on DraftKings, this is an extreme value. I believe the Broncos can win 12 games this season, and that would give Payton a shot at the COY award.
