Welcome back, my fellow DFS degenerates. It’s Week 4, and at this point you’ve either padded your bankroll… or you’re explaining to your friends that you’re “just testing game theory.” Either way, you’re still grinding, which means you’re hunting for those late-game edges that separate the sharps from the folks already checking NBA preseason box scores.
This is the Late Slate, where Sunday afternoon games can tilt the leaderboard, save that “can’t-miss” main slate lineup you bragged about on Friday, and maybe even get you out of the red. By now, the chalk is obvious, and the real difference comes from knowing which late pivots can flip the slate.
So fire up the lineup builder, and let’s attack the Week 4 Late Slate. Because in DFS, it’s not just about winning, I am kidding, it’s all about winning.

NFL DFS: Week 4 Late Slate Picks
Quarterbacks
Daniel Jones, Indianapolis Colts
Indiana Jones, that’s a nice nickname. He is simply killing it with the Colts. The overall QB4 in fantasy right now. He has the third most passing yards (812) and the third most rushing touchdowns (3). The Rams have a good defense, but Jalen Hurts just torched them in Week 3, scoring 4 touchdowns. The Colts offense will put up points and this is the highest over-under on the slate at 49.5 points.

Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears
The Bears will play the Raiders in Week 4. The Raiders happen to give up the 13th most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Caleb is coming off a career-high 4-touchdown game. With another good match-up this week, he will keep it rolling. Williams, Odunze and Bears, Oh My!

Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens
Lamar Jackson is simply Lamar Jackson. I am not sure you need any other reasons to play him. The Ravens play the Chiefs in Week 4. The over-under on this game is 48.5 points. That means Vegas expects a shootout. Both teams NEED to win this week. Expect Jackson to go all out, passing and running the football. The overall QB1 in fantasy will boost those numbers yet again in Week 4.

Running Backs
Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco 49ers
McCaffrey runs the football exceptionally well. He also catches the ball unbelievably well. McCaffrey is currently third in the league in receptions, with only Puka Nacua and Jake Ferguson having more receptions right now. I expect him to be heavily involved, as always, in a shootout against the Rams in Week 4.

Isaiah Pacheco, Kansas City Chiefs
The Ravens give up the most fantasy points to opposing running backs. I am taking a shot with either Isaiah Pacheco or Kareem Hunt here in Week 4. Pacheco has a 56 % share of running back snaps for the Chiefs. He averages 4.5 yards per carry. Look for him to have his best game of the season.

Kyren Williams, Los Angeles Rams
Williams is involved in the Rams’ offense all over the place. The Niners’ defense is good against the Run, which means more than likely that Kyren will just become more involved in the passing game. The beauty of the Rams’ offense for Fantasy Football is that only Puka Nacua, Devante Adams, and Kyren Williams are truly fantasy viable, and they all produce. Kyren will somehow find a way to do it again in Week 4.

Wide Receivers
Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams
We mentioned the high over-under of 49.5 points for this game. We mentioned the limited number of branches in the Rams’ passing offense being a great thing. Puka has 29 targets on the season. That is a 30% target share of all Rams passes. Puka has 333 yards this season and leads the league in catches. This is the week he gets a touchdown. I so love it when regression towards the mean is positive.

Rome Odunze, Chicago Bears
Rome Odunze has quickly established himself as the Bears’ top option in the passing game, leading the team in targets (27), receptions (16), yards (227), and touchdowns (4). His 28% target share underscores just how central he is to the offense. Week 4 sets up even better as the Bears face a Raiders defense allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing WRs. All signs point to Odunze delivering another big performance this week.

Jacoby Meyers, Las Vegas Raiders
While many will chase last week’s points with Tre Tucker, Jakobi Meyers may actually be the smarter play. The Bears have struggled against the pass, surrendering the third-most fantasy points per game to WRs. Meyers offers a reliable floor and should see steady volume with Geno Smith expected to air it out. Tucker remains a viable option, but this matchup sets up nicely for Meyers to deliver.

Tyquan Thornton, Kansas City Chiefs
Thornton’s targets have gone up in every game this season. His yardage has also gone up in every game this season. Patrick Mahomes is trusting Thornton with the deep ball, and you should trust Thornton in Week 4.

Tight Ends
Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs face the Ravens in what feels like a must-win matchup for both sides. Baltimore has been generous to opposing tight ends, and that sets up well for Travis Kelce, who has a history of delivering in big spots. While a 20+ fantasy point explosion may not be in the cards, the matchup and game script point to Kelce producing a strong Week 4 performance. And yes—if this one ends in heartbreak, it’s the kind of game Taylor Swift might turn into a ballad.

Brenton Strange, Jacksonville Jaguars
It’s not strange that Brenton has been producing decent fantasy numbers this season. He is currently the overall TE15. The Jaguars play the Niners in Week 4. The Niners are not overly good at defending the tight end position. In the last two games, a tight end has scored a touchdown against them. With the volatility in the Jaguars’ wide receiver group, Strange brings a steady presence to the chaos. As strange as it seems, this looks like a 5-reception and a touchdown week for the Jaguars’ tight end.

DEF
Chicago Bears
Most fantasy managers will avoid the Bears’ defense because they’ve given up plenty of points on the field—but that doesn’t tell the whole story. Chicago has posted 11 fantasy points in two of their first three games, thanks to sacks and turnovers. This week, they draw a Raiders offense that moves the ball but is also prone to giving it away. Geno Smith has already shown he’ll take sacks and make mistakes, which keeps the Bears defense firmly in streaming consideration.
