NFL DraftKings DFS Plays: Championship Sunday

Our last multi-game DraftKings slate of the 2025-2026 season takes place today. Conference Championship Sunday will open with the Denver Broncos hosting the New England Patriots. And it will conclude with the Seattle Seahawks hosting the Los Angeles Rams. The weather will not be an issue in Seattle, but we can see some snow in Denver. And we hope everyone stays safe for one of the bigger snowstorms we’ve seen in the past few years. These games will also feature a similar projected point total. Our NFC Championship game leads the way at 45.5, while the AFC Championship is at 42.5.

What!? Your fantasy football league wasn’t hosted on Fantrax this season!? Once you see how Fantrax stacks up to the competition, we think you’ll be singing a different tune for next season.

No outliers, which should be expected when we only have three total games left in the season. Seattle leads the way with a projected total of 24 points. However, every team is within five points of each other. With four fantastic defenses on the slate, touchdowns will be at a premium. Which means your choice at quarterback should shape your entire lineup. And we have two intriguing choices on opposite ends of the DraftKings salary range this week.

Favorite DraftKings NFL plays for Championship Sunday

Quarterback

Favorite Play: Jarrett Stidham, Denver Broncos (4.5K)

If you want the freedom to play whoever you want at almost any position on this DraftKings slate, Stidham is just the guy for that. He has the lowest salary on the site by $1,000. And that makes him extremely viable. Obviously, making your first meaningful start in two years in the AFC Championship is not the most ideal scenario, but Stidham has the tools to lead the Broncos to victory. He did show enough in the preseason to at least have some faith in him. According to NFL+, he had the most estimated points added in the preseason. And yes, I understand it is the preseason, but that is the only data point we have for this rare scenario. Stidham offers great flexibility for your DraftKings lineups and will likely be throwing the ball a fair amount as the Broncos are 3.5-point underdogs in this matchup.

Play to Consider: Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams (6.3K)

Stafford burned us last week, throwing for no touchdowns in the team’s overtime victory against the Chicago Bears. However, it would be impossible not to mention Stafford after what he did last time out against the Seattle Seahawks. He had 457 passing yards and three touchdowns in that overtime loss. And the likely MVP winner will be looking to recreate that success today against one of, if not the best, defenses in the league. All four quarterbacks are in play on this slate, and I would not rule any of them out as viable options. These are my favorite two; it would not surprise me, though, to see Maye’s rushing ability vault him into the optimal lineup come the end of tonight. Denver’s defense is coming off giving up 30 points to the Buffalo Bills, so anything is on the table for DraftKings for this slate.

Running Back

Favorite Play: Kenneth Walker III, Seattle Seahawks (6.2K)

Walker will have to be the main back from here on out for the Seahawks. His backfield partner, Zach Charbonnet, tore his ACL in the game against the San Francisco 49ers. And without his running mate, Walker carried the full load and excelled last week to the tune of three touchdowns and 145 all-purpose yards. That also goes without mentioning his success against the Rams this season. Walker had 20.1 and 28.4 DraftKings points against the Rams in their two matchups this season. And if that wasn’t enough to convince you to play Walker. He is currently the only player on the entire slate with implied touchdown odds of over 50%. As of writing this article, the number is -145, which would total about 59%. Everything points to Walker being a fantastic play, and someone you need in your lineups come the end of the day today.

Play to Consider: TreVeyon Henderson, New England Patriots (5.5K)

This slate is a brutal one for running backs. Outside of Walker against the Rams, the other three teams ranked in the top four of fantasy points allowed to the position during the regular season. Despite that fact, it’s not all doom and gloom outside of Seattle. Josh Allen and James Cook found great success against the run last week. Cook was averaging almost five yards a carry, while Allen was at 5.5 yards per carry. The weather for this game will also be unpleasant, so we can see both teams lean on the run game, and Henderson is always live to break the slate, even with him struggling last week. He only had an average of 2.1 yards per carry. He is still my preferred play due to upside. If you are looking for a floor play, Stevenson can provide that with his touchdown upside. It is a tough matchup for sure, but one we already saw exploited last week.

Wide Receiver

Favorite Play: Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams (9K)

We do not need to spend a long time on the wide receiver position. There are two clear top options on the slate. And I am sure you know who the next player is. In Nacua’s last game against the Seahawks, he scored a whopping 49.5 DraftKings points. Amassing 225 receiving yards and scoring two touchdowns. There are only two players with a DraftKings salary of $8,000 or above. And you will likely want both of them in your lineup this weekend. Nacua finished the season with the highest yards per route run and estimated points added at the position. Nacua is a truly elite talent, and someone you will likely want to avoid fading today.

Play to Consider: Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seattle Seahawks (8K)

Quite a surprise, I know. Smith-Njigba is the other lineup lock this week. The wide receiver has been quiet of late, but is still producing. His last game of over 20 points on DraftKings was actually against the Rams over a month ago. He scored the game-winning touchdown in overtime. And in the two games against the Rams, he has scored 23.6 DraftKings points in both games. Smith-Njigba offers a ceiling only rivaled by Puka Nacua on this slate. On a DraftKings slate where it is exponentially easier to play both of these guys, today is not a day that I would want to get different with my lineups.

Tight End

Favorite Play: Hunter Henry, New England Patriots (4.8K)

Henry had a rough outing against the Houston Texans. I will not hold that against him, as before this past game, he had been providing great consistency for those who backed him on DraftKings. Before that game, Henry had double-digit DraftKings points in four straight games. He led the team in touchdowns this year and was second in receiving yards. The Broncos gave up the 11th most fantasy points to opposing tight ends. And they allowed Dalton Kincaid to finish with the most fantasy points at the position last week. This play feels like one not to overthink and one to feel relatively safe about.

Play to Consider: Evan Engram, Denver Broncos (3.3K)

Stidham’s safety blanket today will likely be none other than Evan Engram. Engram’s average depth of target, sitting at 4.3 yards, will make him the perfect checkdown for Stidham when he needs it. The Patriots also gave up the 14th most fantasy points to the position this season. Engram’s role this season has not been great. However, if you are looking to save DraftKings salary to play someone like Matthew Stafford or Drake Maye, someone like Engram can be the perfect salary relief at the position. It can remove the guesswork that could occur with the Rams’ tight ends, who are splitting work among three players. Engram is currently +600 to score a touchdown compared to +190 for Hunter Henry. So, while he does not have the highest ceiling, he allows you to be different on this small slate.

Final Thoughts

The last multi-game DraftKings slate of the season is upon us. This season has absolutely flown by. And I hope we cap it off with some great games today and in two weeks. Remember when building a lineup on a slate this small, craft a story. Will one of these teams score a blowout win, or will both games be low-scoring and lean on the running games? That is for you to decide ultimately. I wish everyone the best of luck, and enjoy the games because in a short two or three months, we will be clamoring for football and getting ready for the NFL Draft. So, enjoy what should be two fantastic games on this Championship Sunday.
