We are finally back to a regular week in the NHL and there is a lot of action. As it usually goes, some goalies are underperforming and other starters are injured, opening up new opportunities to many goalies either way. These are three that you don’t want to pass up if you’re looking to stream this week.

Fantasy Hockey Week 13 Goalie Streamers
Joel Hofer, St. Louis Blues
Joel Hofer has been one of the best goaltenders over the past couple of weeks and he’s outplaying Jordan Binnington in the St. Louis Blues’ net. Hofer might not have fully taken over the starter role, but he is getting at least half of the starts. With all of the trades rumored and Hofer being the goalie the team is going to move forward with, I expect him to keep getting plenty of starts, especially while he’s playing well.
Hofer has won four of his past five starts with a .931 SV% in four of them, has recorded a shutout, and hasn’t sat out two games in a row in a month. He has a .928 SV% in the past two weeks and is up to a .900 SV% and 2.86 GAA on the season, while the Blues haven’t been as bad as they were for most of the season. The Blues play the Buffalo Sabres, Colorado Avalanche, Vegas Golden Knights, and Montreal Canadiens. Don’t expect an easy week, but Hofer has been solid.
Alex Lyon, Buffalo Sabres
Speaking of Buffalo, they are rolling and are on an eight-game win streak and are tied for eighth in the conference. Some thanks can be given to Alex Lyon, who has won six of his starts in a row, allowing just 13 goals and sporting a .922 SV%. There’s no reason to think that the Sabres are going to slow down either, even if they lose one or two in the near future.
They have three games and two of them are favourable starts. The Sabres face off against the Blues, Dallas Stars, and then the Columbus Blue Jackets. Expect Lyon to get in there for two of the starts as Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen just started on Saturday and he has been playing better than he has this season recently. Keep rolling with Lyon as long as he’s letting in very few goals and winning.
David Rittich, New York Islanders
Ilya Sorokin is on the injured reserve, which means that it’s David Rittich’s net for the New York Islanders for the time being. Fortunately for the team and for whoever chooses to pick him up to stream, he has been very good this season, winning nine of his 14 starts and recording two shutouts. He has started three games in a row now.
In those games, he has posted a .938 SV% or better, winning his last two and recording a shutout in his last prior to Sunday’s action. The Islanders have a very favourable schedule as they play the Chicago Blackhawks, Utah Mammoth, and Toronto Maple Leafs.
