Week 13 Quarterback Rankings for Fantasy Football

The Week 13 quarterback rankings expand this week with no teams on bye. However, difficult lineup decisions still need to be made, as the fantasy playoffs are around the corner. But fear not. The Week 13 quarterback rankings will guide you and put you in the best position to succeed this week.

Injury Notes for Week 13

  • Brock Purdy missed last week with a shoulder injury, and his Week 13 status is unclear. Brandon Allen will likely get another start if Purdy remains sidelined, but he should be avoided outside of two-quarterback leagues. UPDATE: Purdy practiced in full on Friday and is expected to suit up.
  • Trevor Lawrence has been out since Week 10 with an AC joint sprain in his non-throwing shoulder. His Week 13 status is up in the air. If he’s unable to start, Mac Jones will get the starting nod and is a downgrade for the entire offense.
  • Gardner Minshew is done for the season with a broken collarbone. Aidan O’Connell returned from the IL on Tuesday with a fractured thumb and will be under center in Week 13.

Quarterback Notes

  • Patrick Mahomes has picked things up of late following a lackluster start to the season. He’s averaging 20.8 fantasy points per game over the past five weeks, with his 12 touchdowns in that stretch tied for second-most at the position. The touchdowns should keep coming against the Raiders in Week 13. Their defense has given up 20 scores through the air to opposing quarterbacks this season, tied for fourth-most. They’ve also allowed the ninth-most fantasy points to the position. Mahomes should have another productive fantasy week and ranks as QB6 in the Week 13 quarterback rankings.
  • Matthew Stafford has been unstoppable through the air. In the past five weeks, he collected 12 touchdowns and racked up 1,408 passing yards — both second-best among quarterbacks. Stafford should continue to pile up the yardage in Week 13 against the Saints. New Orleans is a middling defense that has surrendered the fourth-most passing yards to the position. They’ve been especially vulnerable lately, with Jameis Winston and Kirk Cousins hanging 300-plus yards on them in the last two weeks. Stafford should be able to move the ball and bring some fantasy goodness to lineups this week. He’s QB12 in the Week 13 quarterback rankings.
  • Drake Maye is an appealing streamer this week. He has an exploitable matchup against a Colts defense ceding the fifth-most passing yards and 10th-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this year. They’ve also been beatable on the ground — an area where Maye can take advantage. Maye averages 35.7 rushing yards per game, and his 286 rushing yards this season is ninth-best among quarterbacks despite playing only eight games. Maye is in the midst of a solid rookie season and has done well against friendlier defenses. He ranks as QB16 in the Week 13 quarterback rankings.
  • Bryce Young is fresh off his best game of the season. He threw for 263 yards and a touchdown against the Chiefs and finished the week with 16.5 fantasy points. Both the yardage and fantasy points were season-highs. Young has been humming along since he regained the starting job in Week 8. In that four-game stretch, Young is averaging 196 passing yards and 13 fantasy points per game — a significant upgrade from his first two starts of the season. Young should be able to keep things rolling this week. He has one of the most favorable matchups on the Week 13 slate against the Buccaneers. Opposing quarterbacks are averaging 23.4 fantasy points and 274 passing yards against Tampa Bay this season. Game script will likely require Young to throw a bunch this week, making him a solid option in Superflex leagues in Week 13.
