A complete disaster. From a prop plays standpoint, our Week 16 picks went an ugly 0-3.
I mean, Jahmyr Gibbs gained just 2 yards on seven carries last week. Did anyone see that disaster coming? Gibbs gained just two yards on seven carries, and that’s simply pure insanity. How are we supposed to account for that other than simply taking it on the chin?
All we can do is move forward and stick with the process. Yes, you hear that a lot around here, but it’s true. And at the end of the day, we also have room for improvement. There’s no need to waste time as we jump right into our Week 17 NFL Player Props on FanDuel Sportsbook.

Week 17 NFL Player Props (FanDuel Sportsbook)
Trey McBride Over 76.5 Receiving Yards (-114)
As we get towards the end of the 2025 season, once again, Trey McBride is one of the top tight ends in football. Also, with Sam LaPorta out for the year and Brock Bowers being shut down, you can make the argument that McBride is the best tight end remaining.
Overall, despite the struggles at the quarterback position for the Arizona Cardinals this season, McBride still has 109 catches for 1,098 yards. While he did catch just four passes for 27 yards last week, expecting a bounce-back performance isn’t exactly a huge stretch.
In fact, given the hospitality of the Cincinnati Bengals, it’s far from it. The Bengals pass defense has been absolutely terrible this season, and they also allow the most fantasy points to opposing tight ends. I know that this is about McBride’s prop play, but a large part of fantasy production is based on yardage, so we can run parallel here.
McBride has hit this mark in five of his last seven seasons, which brings us even more confidence.
Tyler Shough Over 221.5 Passing Yards (-114)
Granted, it was against the New York Jets, but Tyler Shough did throw for 309 yards last week. The opponent is going to take away some of that luster, but we should also appreciate the rookie for what he’s been doing as of late.
Shough has made things interesting in New Orleans over the second half of the season. At this point, it appears he’s done enough to take the Saints off the scent of drafting a quarterback in the first round of the 2026 draft. He’s formed chemistry with Chris Olave and is looking more comfortable under center by the day.
In five of his last six games, Shough has surpassed what I consider to be his conservative prop play. The fact that the Tennessee Titans allow 222.9 passing yards per game this season only helps our case. This week’s game should be closer than the others that the Titans have played this season. My thought process is that, had the Titans played more close games, their passing yards allowed would have been higher.
Michael Mayer Over 35.5 Receiving Yards (-114)
At first glance, Michael Mayer hasn’t been impressive this season. He has just 23 catches for 192 yards, so maybe that’s on second glance as well. But is it really fair to Mayer?
For some of those games, Brock Bowers was healthy, so we know where those targets were going. Even when Bowers was not in the picture, Mayer’s performances were inconsistent at best. We should also note that Jakobi Meyers is also no longer in the picture, so that opens things up even more.
The New York Giants pass defense leaves a lot to be desired, so that helps here. Perhaps the nicest thing I can say about this game is that it’s going to be close. Mayer really only needs two or three catches to hit his prop play, and by default, he should get there.
