Week 19 Draft EPL Waiver Wire

Fantrax managers have little time to be active on the EPL Waiver Wire for week 19. Games get going with just a single day between matches. The end of week 19 also marks the official halfway point of the season.

Week 18 suggestion Dean Huijsen and Bournemouth continue to play well, especially defensively. They should be options moving forward. Niclas Füllkrug grabbed his first assist of the season, although Goncalo Guedes had a rough game. João Félix did not get the start, which makes me think he will this weekend.

It’s a strange week of fixtures. There are six games on Sunday, three on Monday, none on Tuesday, and the final game on Wednesday. Teams are back at in week 20 the following Saturday.

Week 19 Fantasy EPL Draft Waiver Wire

Timothy Castagne Defender – 32% Rostered –  Fulham vs Bournemouth

The right-back has filled in well for the injured Tete, with double-digit scoring in both games. He notched an assist last game and has conceded just a single goal in his last two starts. Bournemouth have been playing well, but Fulham are home and then host Ipswich. Fulham haven’t lost in four games.

Illia Zabarnyi Defender – 31% Rostered –  Fulham vs Bournemouth

His defensive partners have also been mentioned over the last few weeks, but Zabarnyi deserves his own suggestion too. The defender has scored double-digit points in four of his last five games, including earning two clean sheets. Bournemouth haven’t lost since November 23rd, winning four and tying two of their last six. Bournemouth players are worth a look on the EPL waiver wire.

Matt DohertyDefender – 11% Rostered –  Tottenham vs Wolves

It took a while for Doherty to find his way into a consistent starting role, but now that he’s there, he’s making the most of it. He’s now started the last five for Wolves. He has a goal, an assist, and two clean sheets over that stretch. There’s definitely a risk here, as Wolves, even though they’ve won two straight, are 17th in the league and very inconsistent.

Jefferson Lerma – Midfielder – 4% Rostered – Crystal Palace vs Southampton

Lerma is a solid player who will generally put up solid points. Most weeks he wouldn’t make this list, but Palace host Southampton this weekend, so the matchup is right. He has two straight games with a shot on target, so he’s getting forward as well. It’s a safe pickup on the EPL waiver wire. Palace should have some defensive rotation with Marc Guehi out on suspension, so Fantrax managers should be looking at his replacement too.

The games are coming fast!

Have fun. Good luck!
