The Week 20 EPL Waiver Wire (under 50% rostered) is another quick turnaround with just a singe day between final games in week 19 until the start of week 20.
We are now halfway through the season, and it’s been a fascinating season so far. Just when you think you’ve got things figured the EPL shows why it’s the best team for team league in the world, as any team has a chance to win each game.
EPL Waiver Wire suggestions for week 20 are listed below in order of most to least rostered in Fantrax.
Week 20 Fantasy EPL Waiver Wire
Chris Wood – Forward – 29% – Nottingham Forest vs Manchester United
Wood scored a fantastic (and unexpected) hat-trick at Newcastle. He’s going to be high on a lot of waiver wire lists this week. He scored the week before as well, so Forest are hoping they’ve got a man feeling confident as they look to stay steady in the table. He now has eight goals on the season. Not for a player rostered in under 30% of teams.
Elijah Adebayo – Forward – 26% – Luton vs Chelsea
Adebayo has four goals this season for 18th place Luton. He’s got a shot on target in each of the last four also, plus he’s earning points here and there during games. He’s starting and he’s active. Chelsea have lost their last four away games, conceding at least two goals in each of those games. So I think there will be chances for Adebayo and teammates (including Townsend, who is still available in lots of leagues!).
Joao Gomes – Midfielder – 10% Rostered – Wolves vs Everton
This is a safe pick if you’re looking for a steady player in your midfield. Wolves have looked solid in their last two wins with six goals too. Everton are hit and miss, as they have now lost two in row after a strong run of four wins in a row. I like having a player or two who I know is going to get minutes. There are worse choices than Gomes on the EPL waiver wire.
Alex Scott – Midfielder – 4% Rostered – Tottenham vs Bournemouth
Bournemouth have won six of their last seven and haven’t lost since November 4th. Scott earned his first assist of the season in a wonderful bit of play. He was on some set pieces and was active on both sides of the ball. Bournemouth has scored 16 goals in their last five and three each over the last two. There aren’t many offensive players available for them on the EPL waiver wire, so Scott (and team Kluivert) is worth a look.
It’s another quick turnaround after Boxing Day, so get your EPL waiver wire choices set!
Good luck!
