The Week 28 EPL Waiver Wire (under 50% rostered) comes with massive games for both sides of the table.
At the top, league leaders Liverpool hosts second-place Manchester City, with only a single point separating them, and with the Gunners only a point behind City. Things are tight to say the least. A draw gives Arsenal an opening, a win is massive for either team.
At the bottom of the table, Luton has two chances this week for a win. They need points from them both.
Bournemouth also plays twice, against the two worst teams in the league. I’m looking at any and all players from Bournemouth who get regular starts. Luton players, who have a double, are options too.
My top EPL Waiver Wire suggestions for week 28 are listed below in order of most to least rostered in Fantrax.
Week 28 Fantasy EPL Waiver Wire
Justin Kluivert – Midfielder – 32% Rostered – Bournemouth vs Sheffield United, Bournemouth vs Luton
He scored a quality goal last weekend in their 2-0 win against Burnley. Bournemouth has shown they can have success against lower-table teams. They get the two worst teams in the EPL back to back this week, in a premier double-week matchup. Kluivert has four goals on the season, and two over his last four appearances. I’m going with as many Bournemouth players as I can over this two-game stretch.
Aaron Ramsdale – Goalie – 30% Rostered – Burnley vs Bournemouth
David Raya is unable to play against Brentford, as he’s officially on loan and can’t play against his parent club. That means Ramsdale will get the start, his first in the EPL since the last time the Gunners played the Bees. Ramsdale kept a clean sheet then in a 1-0 win. The Gunners have six wins in a row and haven’t lost in the EPL in 2024, conceding just three over that stretch.
Vinicius de Souza Costa – Midfielder – 25% Rostered – Bournemouth vs Sheffield United
If you’re looking for a week-in and week-out midfielder on this week’s EPL waiver wire, then Vinicius is worth a look. Sheffield United will be forced to defend as they have all year, meaning that the defensive midfielder will continue to have lots of work. Nothing flashy here, but as injuries mount across the league, Fantrax managers may need to be creative with options.
Tahith Chong – Midfielder – 6% Rostered – Crystal Palace vs Luton, Bournemouth vs Luton
Chong has worked his way into Luton’s startling lineup, and he’s played well since he’s taking over a spot in the starting XI. He scored last game too. But, he also game off early with a knock last game, so he’s a question mark to start both. But with two games in the upcoming week, he just might be worth a risk on the EPL waiver wire, as are his Luton teams, who are still scoring fantasy points.
Teams playing in Europe may be rotating and will be more prone to injury. I’m looking at double games this week as much as I can. Have fun. Play the matchups. Play to win each week.
Good luck.
