The choices on the week 3 EPL waiver wire are already shrinking, but there are always players out there for Fantrax managers.
The EPL table looks as many would, with top teams showing strength early. Fantrax Draft Managers need to be aware, as teams at the bottom of the table may start to shift lineups to find one that works.
Week 2 EPL waiver wire suggestion Adama Traore (still only 36% rostered) had an assist and a quality outing, while Mateo Kovacic nearly hit double-digits, despite coming off early. Danny Welbeck from week one suggestions, scored again.
Week 3 EPL Waiver wire suggestions (under 50% rostered) are listed in order my most to least rostered.
Week 3 Fantasy EPL Draft Waiver Wire
Neto – Goalkeeper – Goalkeeper – 33% – Everton vs Bournemouth
Neto is currently a top-five scoring keeper and yet is only rostered in a third of all leagues. He’s the type of keeper that you want, which is to say one who makes saves. He’s made 11 stops in just the first two games, ranking him second so far. The Bournemouth shot-stopper conceded just a single goal in each of those two games, helping earn 1-1 draws in both. Everton has yet to score this season, so there may be fewer shots to stop, but there may a chance at a clean sheet too.
Nathan Collins – Defender – 32 % – Brentford vs Southampton
Like Neto, Collins is picking up stats without clean sheets and with goals against. He does have an assist and a shot on target in each game. The defender leads the EPL in blocked shots. He’s a top 10 scorer defender and a good choice on the EPL waiver wire. The Bees host winless Southampton, who have failed to score.
Facundo Buonanotte – Midfielder- 16% – Aston Villa vs Leicester
The former Brighton player has started his loan spell at Leicester, notching his first assist last week in their loss to Fulham. He’s taking some corners and set pieces, adding consistent value to him as a week-in and week-out player.
Ilkay Gundogan – Midfielder – 11% Rostered – West Ham vs Manchester City
Gundogan returned to City last week after a year away in Germany. He didn’t start but did play. Like anyone on City not named Erling Haaland, you can’t be sure he will start. When he does, he’s capable of scoring big points. He is a terrific player and should be added from the EPL waiver wire as soon as possible, even if you have to stash him for later in the season.
Find the matchups. Fantrax managers may need to start making tough decisions about whether or not to hold players they drafted.
Good luck!
