It’s the final EPL Waiver Wire as we head into the final game week of the 2023-2024 EPL season
It’s come down to the final games for the EPL title. The scenario is simple. If Manchester City win, the title is theirs. If they lose or draw, and Arsenal win, then the Gunners become the champs. Manchester City hosts West Ham and Arsenal host Everton. Neither are easy wins.
There’s still some potential movement for the final European spots, as well.
All games begin at the same time on Sunday, so Fantrax managers will be able to confirm lineups and make final adjustments across games and their roster. There’s always the risk for rotation, especially in games without much to play for. Check lineups carefully.
The top EPL Waiver Wire suggestions for week 38 are listed below in order of most to least rostered in Fantrax.
Week 38 Fantasy EPL Waiver Wire
Takehiro Tomiyasu –Defender – 38% Rostered – Arsenal vs Everton
The Arsenal left-back has become the favored choice at left back for Miguel Arteta. He’s started four straight with three clean sheets over the stretch. I was surprised to see him available on the EPL waiver wire in so many leagues. Arsenal have the best goals against record in the EPL, giving up only 28 on the season. Everton have ended the season strong, but have struggled to score on the road too.
Willy Boly – Defender – 34% Rostered – Burnley vs Nottingham Forrest
Boly is such a solid defender, both in fantasy and on the field. He added a goal last game and an assist in the one before that. His stats and points are mostly coming from the defensive end of the field, where he dominates in the air and uses his big presence in the box. Forrest are clear of the drop zone, and Burnley are down already.
Arijanet Muric – Goalie – 29% Rostered – Burnley vs Nottingham Forrest
Over the last five games, Muric has recorded 7, 7, 9, 10, and 8 saves. Those can be serious points for a keeper, even when conceding goals. There’s nothing to play for, but Burnley will want to give their home fans a season-end EPL win before heading back down. He’s a good keeper to grab on the EPL waiver wire to close out the season.
Thomas Partey – Midfielder – 25% Rostered – Arsenal vs Everton
Partey has started now in the last five games, after struggling with injuries for much of the season. They have won each of those games, and I would think Arteta keeps the lineup the same in the final game. It doesn’t get any bigger than this in the EPL. They can’t control what City does, but they have to win no matter what. He’s one of the few quality midfielders on the EPL waiver wire with something to play for on the final game.
I’m excited about Sunday! Trust your gut. Go with the matchups!
Good luck!
