When looking back at Week 3, there were some familiar names at the top of the tight end leaderboard, and then we had Jack Stoll. Ultimately, it was the touchdown that bumped Stoll’s performance into the Top-10 and with some other unfamiliar names. That’s generally par for the course, but this week took things up a notch. Hunter Henry was on top of that list as the only tight end to score two touchdowns. The concern is always to look to the future as opposed to living in the past. Let’s jump right into our Week 4 Tight End Rankings.

Injury Notes for Week 4
Elijah Arroyo, Seattle Seahawks
It’s been a slow start to Elijah Arroyo’s professional career, but we’re only three weeks into it. Last week, Arroyo was only targeted once and failed to come up with a catch. He’s now dealing with a groin injury, and it looks like his breakout isn’t going to come in Week 4.
Ja’Tavion Sanders, Carolina Panthers
In the early part of the season, Ja’Tavion Sanders was showing some flashes of potential. That’s now put on pause while he deals with a high ankle sprain. Sanders is likely going to be sidelined for a few weeks, and in his absence, Tommy Tremble doesn’t have any fantasy value.
Darren Waller, Miami Dolphins
While Darren Waller is going to make his season debut in Week 4, I wouldn’t expect much from him. Waller’s snaps are going to be limited, which obviously suppresses his upside. However, we should note that when he is in the game, it will likely be in the red zone.
Colston Loveland, Chicago Bears
While he left in the second quarter of Sunday’s game with a hip injury, the good news is that Colston Loveland could potentially return to action this week. Prior to leaving, Loveland caught just one of three targets for 31 yards. Should Loveland be forced to miss any time, Cole Kmet does get an upgrade.
Tucker Kraft, Green Bay Packers
A late-week knee injury certainly put a damper on things for Tucker Kraft. Ultimately, he was able to take the field on Sunday, and while he was limited to three catches for 29 yards, I wouldn’t be concerned. It was a tough day for Green Bay’s passing offense, and Kraft should be better positioned heading into Week 5.
Tight End Notes
Jake Ferguson, Dallas Cowboys
After CeeDee Lamb exited last week’s game with an ankle injury, it was telling to see the direction Dallas’ offense went in. Jake Ferguson was targeted 14 times as the Cowboys tried to come from behind. He turned that into 13 catches, but Ferguson wasn’t exactly efficient as he finished with just 82 yards.
Previously, Ferguson has shown the ability to handle high volume targets from Dak Prescott. With Lamb sidelined, Prescott needs a receiver he trusts, and that’s Ferguson.
Hunter Henry, New England Patriots
In a week where everything seemingly worked for the New England Patriots, Hunter Henry had just catch for nine yards in Week 2. That came after a solid season debut in which he caught four passes for 66 yards.
Henry has carved out a solid career, but he’s only never been a true TE1. Last week, Henry had a real connection with Drake Maye. He was the only tight end to catch two touchdowns as he finished with eight catches for 90 yards. Maye needs a receiver he can trust, and right now, that’s Henry. In facing the Carolina Panthers this week, it’s a favorable matchup for Henry to take advantage of.
Brenton Strange, Jacksonville Jaguars
Entering the season, Brenton Strange was someone I had my eye on as an ascending option at the tight end position. It’s been a rough go of it for the Jacksonville Jaguars to begin the season, but Strange has at least been consistent.
Through each of the first three weeks, Strange was targeted four times. While he’s still looking for his first touchdown, I’d expect that to come this week. He had a season-high seven targets in Week 3. Strange turned that into six catches for 61 yards as one of the bright spots in Jacksonville’s offense.
Dalton Kincaid, Buffalo Bills
As we look for Dalton Kincaid to live up to his expectations, this might be the year. He’s been consistently involved in Buffalo’s offense to begin the season, and there’s no reason not to expect it to continue.
Kincaid has 13 catches on 16 targets for 151 yards with two touchdowns in three games. This past week was Kincaid’s best game with six catches for 66 yards. I’d look for him to continue to build on this momentum moving forward.
