Week 5 NFL Prop Plays (DraftKings)

De’Von Achane Over 38.5 Receiving Yards (-111)

Nothing about Monday night was ideal from the perspective of Tyreek Hill. You never want to see an injury, and unfortunately, his knee injury took things to the extreme. With just one catch for two yards, on two targets, last week, De’Von Achane wasn’t part of the solution.

However, with a fresh week of game planning and preparation, I’d expect to see something different in Week 5. Attempting to fill Hill’s shoes is not going to be easy, but Miami has to try. And that’s where Achane in the passing game comes into play.

Expecting Achane to finish with at least 39 receiving yards to surpass his player prop is far from outlandish. After all, Achane is averaging 36 yards per game, and that also includes the fact that he had just two yards last week. On the season, Achane has 19 catches for 143 yards and two touchdowns.

No one can truly replace Hill, but Achane’s production should see an uptick due to his absence. It also helps that we know what Achane is capable of.

Marvin Harrison Over 53.5 Receiving Yards (-111)

Marvin Harrison is one of the most frustrating players. The second-year receiver has an immense amount of upside and potential, but the realization of that has been anything but smooth.

Last week, Harrison did show movement towards making that a reality as he finished with six catches for 66 yards and a touchdown. It was a positive development, but it shouldn’t come as a surprise since we know Harrison is more than capable.

With James Conner already out for the year and Trey Benson now sidelined, the Cardinals are down to their third and fourth running backs. That means there should be an even greater emphasis on the passing game. And that brings us to Harrison in what should be a good matchup against the Tennessee Titans.

With an average of 52 yards per game this season, seeing Harrison’s player prop at 53.5 yards wasn’t that surprising. The Titans’ ranking 27th in opponents’ passing yards also helps.

Emeka Egbuka Over 63.5 Receiving Yards (-112)

In three of four games so far in his rookie season, Emega Egbuka’s yardage prop hasn’t been an issue. After 67 and 85 yards in Weeks 1 and 3, Egbuka struggled with just 29 yards in Week 2. Egbuka jumped up to 101 yards on four catches last week.

The one thing that has been clear since the start of the season is that Egbuka apparently doesn’t need a learning curve while adjusting to life in the NFL. With a minimum of six targets per week, it’s clear that Egbuka has a legit role in Tampa Bay’s offense.

Mike Evans being sidelined should open things up for Egbuka, but from an overall perspective, Chris Godwin has returned. Last week, they finished tied for the lead in targets. Bucky Irving’s status is also in question, so I’d expect Egbuka to be busy.
