Week 7 SNF Fantasy Preview
Kansas City Chiefs at Seattle Seahawks (-3) O/U: 42.5
Clear Starts: Patrick Mahomes, Kenneth Walker III, Travis Kelce, Jaxon Smith-Njigba
Sam Darnold – QB, Seattle Seahawks
Not much has changed from last year. Sam Darnold finished 2025 as the QB13 in total points, but just the QB25 on a points-per-game basis. This season, Darnold is averaging even fewer points per game and is currently the QB27 overall. Darnold only played five snaps in Week 1, but he’s only averaging 255 passing yards per game in his four full games. That would be fine if Darnold could add value on the ground or threw a lot of TDs, but that is not the case. Darnold has only thrown seven TDs while also getting picked off seven times. On the ground, Darnold only has seven carries for 35 yards. There just isn’t much fantasy upside on any given week. Darnold should be on the waiver wire in most leagues.
Emanuel Wilson and George Holani – RB, Seattle Seahawks
Seattle’s run game has been a headache for fantasy football. First-round pick Jadarian Price was splitting carries in his two full games before getting injured. Things only got more complicated after that. Emanuel Wilson and George Holani lead the team in rushes, but neither back has offered real fantasy value this year. Now facing a Chiefs defense that allows the seventh-fewest fantasy points to RBs, Week 7 could be even more trouble.
Emanuel Wilson leads the team with 87 rushes, 303 yards, and two TDs. Wilson has also drawn eight targets. On the other hand, George Holani only has 31 rushes for 97 yards, but he has drawn 12 targets. It’s evident that the Seahawks prefer to use Wilson more but outside of a couple of games, there has been no fantasy value. Wilson scored 27 points against a terrible Chargers defense and 14.2 points against the 49ers, but only averages about four PPR points in his other four games. When he’s not scoring TDs, Wilson does not have enough of a rushing or receiving workload to return startable fantasy value. Opportunity is there, and Wilson does lead the team with 14 red zone rushes, but there just is not enough work or productivity right now.
Holani is getting significantly less rushing work, and his four extra targets do not make up for that. Holani peaked at 10.8 PPR points in a game where he was targeted five times. On a weekly basis, though, Holani’s target share is wildly inconsistent. There isn’t much of argument that Holani offers enough of a floor to warrant starting on Sunday Night Football. Holani should be rostered, but he faces a daunting task and does not get much work. There is some TD upside, though, as Holani has eight red zone rushes to Wilson’s 14.
Overall, Wilson is the best start just because of his volume, but he faces a Chiefs run defense that ranks 4th in DVOA. In a pinch, you can start Wilson, but Holani is just not offering enough floor or ceiling to warrant starting in Week 7. Downgrade all Seattle RBs on Sunday Night Football.
Xavier Worthy – WR, Kansas City Chiefs
With Rashee Rice out again, Xavier Worthy will step into the WR1 role again. Worthy drew a team-high seven times in a blowout win against the Chargers. Worthy caught all of his targets for 73 yards. Patrick Mahomes spread the ball around, with eight different players drawing at least two targets in the win. On Sunday Night Football, Worthy faces a Seahawks defense allowing the third-fewest fantasy points to WRs.
While Xavier Worthy operates both on the outside and out of the slot, the Seahawks have great secondary play in both areas. Nehemiah Pritchett is allowing just a 33.9 passer rating when targeted per Pro Football Reference. Devon Witherspoon is also showing up, allowing just a 71.0 passer rating. Additionally, Julian Love ranks 5th at Safety in PFF grade. There is a lot of concern for the Chiefs’ passing game.
Worthy’s aDOT is just 7.1 yards, though, and he should operate as the team’s top WR. Just by volume, Worthy has appeal in PPR leagues. The low point total and difficult defensive matchup do not bode well for upside, but you can start Worthy as a decent floor play in Week 7.
Cooper Kupp and Rashid Shaheed – WR, Seattle Seahawks
Despite trading away their top CB, the Chiefs allow the fewest fantasy points to WRs. Jaxon Smith-Njigba is a start every week no matter the matchup, but what about the others? Cooper Kupp and Rashid Shaheed are the next two most targeted Seahawks players. Unfortunately for them, their combined stats don’t even touch Njigba’s. Seattle’s passing offense is incredibly condensed, which makes Kupp and Shaheed shaky starts each week.
There isn’t much separating the two. Only two targets, two receptions, 17 yards, and a TD differ between the two receivers. Kupp drew 40% of his targets in an overtime loss to the Broncos, though. Shaheed has seen steadier amounts of targets per week. Even in his best week, though, Shaheed only had 12.8 points. Neither Shaheed nor Kupp are drawing significant red zone targets either. Jaxon Smith-Njigba is just taking too much of this offense. Njigba is drawing over 35% of team targets, with the next best player drawing just 14.36%. It’s hard to justify starting either option, especially in a terrible matchup. Avoid rolling the dice and keep Kupp and Shaheed on the bench in Week 7.
