There are no excuses to be made, but last week we went 1-2 in this space. Drake Maye and the New England Patriots did their job with an easy victory, but the game flow left him 11 passing yards short of his passing yards prop. We can’t say the same for Justin Fields and the New York Jets, as Fields was well short of his rushing yard prop in what was a brutal game. The good news is that Tua Tagovalioa’s struggles salvaged the day with one victory. All we can do now is look forward. Let’s jump right into our Week 8 NFL Prop Plays on DraftKings.

Week 8 NFL Prop Plays (DraftKings)
Ja’Marr Chase Over 88.5 Receiving Yards (-114)
Joe Flacco knows what he’s doing. At this point, with his experience, he should. And that was very much evident last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
In Flacco’s second game with the Cincinnati Bengals, and on a short week at that, the veteran went to his strength. Flacco targeted Ja’Marr Chase an insane 23 times, which led to 16 catches for 161 yards. Despite the Bengals’ struggles and quarterback situation, it’s still a successful season for Chase with 58 catches for 629 yards.
The New York Jets are far from a perfect team, and Flacco should be in position to have success this week. He’s also had 10 days to learn the playbook, so things should be even better for Flacco. I’m expecting Flacco and Chase to continue their connection as the receiver surpasses his player prop.
Bijan Robinson Over 132.5 Rushing & Receiving Yards (-114)
Things are about as bad as they can be for the Miami Dolphins. Miami’s one victory this season is against the Jets, and we know that’s not really worth much. They are also ranked 26th in the league with 376 yards per game. That includes a dead last rank of 159 rushing yards allowed per game.
The Falcons come in on the opposite end of that extreme, gaining 376 yards per game. Of that total, 152 of those yards are attributable to Bijan Robinson. That gives us a 20-yard cushion with Robinson’s player prop.
Robinson has become a vital part of Atlanta’s offense, and if Michael Penix is limited or out due to injury, that reliance will only increase. Targeting Robinson’s combined yardage does provide some flexibility with regard to where his big play comes from. At the least, if the Falcons jump out to a big lead, Robinson will be relied on to control the game via the ground.

Kayshon Boutte Over 29.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
As the New England Patriots face the Cleveland Browns this week, it’s another solid matchup. Yes, the Browns do have the league’s third-best defense with just 174 passing yards allowed per game, but it’s strength against strength. Led by Drake Maye, the Patriots have the 8th-best passing attack with 240 yards per game.
As Maye has developed this season, that has been in conjunction with building a strong chemistry with Kayshon Boutte. So far this season, Boutte is averaging 51 yards per game, and that includes two in which he had just one catch each. He’s hit his player prop in four of seven games while finishing two yards short in a fifth.
Last week, Boutte finished with two catches for 55 yards and he’s averaging 17.8 yards per catch. With seven receptions of at least 20 yards, Boutte doesn’t need much to eclipse this mark.
