Week 8 Running Back Sleepers and Streamers

It’s time to look at the top running back leepers and streamers for Week 8. The fantasy football regular season is halfway over, and every week is a must-win for a lot of us.

Last week, I had three picks. For sleepers, I had Woody Marks and Rhamondre Stevenson. Marks did not have good numbers, but he found the end zone once and was able to finish as the RB16 in Week 7. As for Rhamondre Stevenson, he has halted the emergence of TreVeyon Henderson. Stevenson dominated against the Tennessee Titans. He had 18 carries, 88 yards, and one touchdown. That was good to be the RB13 for the week.

As for streamers, I have given up once again on Jacory Croskey-Merritt. He had the perfect matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. He had just 13 carries for 33 yards and finished as the RB44. The Washington Commanders are in a major slump after a terrific season last year.

Running Back Sleepers

Tyler Allgeier vs. Miami Dolphins

The Atlanta Falcons can very well rush for over 200 yards in Week 8. In fact, Bijan Robinson can do that on his own. Bijan is a lineup lock, but Tyler Allgeier deserves some love, too. The Miami Dolphins are allowing the third-most fantasy PPG to the position. Not only are they allowing over 27 fantasy PPG, but they have also given up the most rushing yards this season, too. Overall, the Falcons will blow out the Dolphins in Week 8. With that being said, Allgeier is a perfect candidate to find the endzone. There are so many teams on a bye this week, give him a chance to be in your lineup.

RJ Harvey vs. Dallas Cowboys

RJ Harvey has done nothing special this season. This is mainly because JK Dobbins has been terrific. Harvey did score a touchdown in Week 7, but he had TWO total yards. Sometimes, you need to risk it for the biscuit in fantasy football. That is what I am doing this week. Harvey faces the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys have the top offense in football, but also have the worst defense. That is why their games are fantasy football heaven. Harvey has not earned the trust to be in lineups, but I am taking a chance this week.

Running Back Streamers

Breece Hall @ Cincinnati Bengals

Breece Hall was once a first-round pick in fantasy football. Hall finished as the RB2 in 2023 in total points. Since then, he has finished as the RB16 and is currently the RB19. The New York Jets are a mess. They’re 0-7, Justin Fields is horrible, and Tyrod Taylor is not any better. The bright side is that Hall is playing the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals are allowing the most fantasy PPG to the position, with over 30 fantasy PPG. Also, they have allowed ten total touchdowns to the position. With Garrett Wilson being hurt, too, the Jets will need to rely on Hall to get their first win of the season. Hall gets his third RB1 finish of the season this week.

Rico Dowdle vs. Buffalo Bills

Rico Dowdle is third in rushing yards this season. Having two games of over 200 rushing yards will help. Yes, the Carolina Panthers are facing the Buffalo Bills. Bryce Young might not play, but the Bills are awful against the run. In fact, the Bills are great, but they are allowing 26.22 fantasy PPG to running backs. That is the sixth most this season. If the Panthers want to have a chance to win, Dowdle has to have a great game.
