🍂 Week 11 Recap: Familiar Faces, Fresh Surprises, and a Few Burnt Dishes

Week 11 delivered a chaotic blend of comfort-food classics and surprising twists, setting the stage for this week’s Week 12 QB rankings. The main course came courtesy of Josh Allen, who cooked up a historic fantasy feast: three rushing touchdowns, three passing touchdowns, and a massive 44.7 fantasy points — the kind of performance that reshapes the Week 12 fantasy QB outlook.

After Allen’s explosion, the quarterback table got even more interesting. Bryce Young delivered a stunning QB2 finish with 31.8 points, while Dak Prescott snapped out of his slump by carving up the Raiders for 24.3. Brock Purdy also returned as a much-needed steady dish, serving up 19.3 points and restoring order in San Francisco — an important note for your Week 12 quarterback analysis.

Not every plate was a hit. The long-anticipated rematch in the “Unc Bowl” fizzled, with Joe Flacco and Aaron Rodgers falling flat as the QB21 and QB23. Lamar Jackson served up one of the worst fantasy games of his career with just 6.7 points, leaving managers scrambling heading into their Week 12 fantasy football quarterback decisions.

And the hyped Young Guns matchup — Caleb Williams vs. J.J. McCarthy — came out undercooked as they struggled to QB22 and QB26 finishes.

Week 11 proved once again that the quarterback landscape can shift in an instant, providing plenty of data, surprises, and cautionary tales as we head into your Week 12 Fantasy Football QB Rankings.

🔥 High-Total Games (Shootout Potential — 47+)

These matchups carry real shootout juice — ideal for stacking your top-tier quarterbacks and leaning into upside.

Indianapolis Colts @ Kansas City Chiefs — O/U 49.0 (KC -3.5)

Patrick Mahomes (QB5) is as matchup-proof as they come, and this one sets up beautifully. Indy’s defense has played excellent football over the past three weeks — allowing just 10.6 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks in that span — but with the Chiefs back at Arrowhead, Mahomes should have no trouble delivering top-five numbers. Expect 275-plus yards and multiple touchdowns.

On the Colts’ side, Daniel Jones (QB10) has been steady all season and now faces a Chiefs defense that has allowed the 10th-most fantasy points to quarterbacks over the past three weeks. Kansas City’s pass rush has been ferocious all year, but Jones has proven to be matchup-proof in 2025 and carries legit upside if the Colts fall behind early and are forced into a pass-heavy script.

New England Patriots @ Cincinnati Bengals — O/U 49.0 (NE -7.5)

Joe Flacco (QB16) has revitalized the Bengals’ offense and looked legitimately sharp before stumbling against the Steelers last week. Even against a disciplined Patriots defense, Flacco’s weapons keep him firmly in the mid-QB2 mix, with sneaky upside if this game turns pass-heavy late.

Drake Maye (QB2) has finished as the QB11 and QB12 over the past two weeks, and now draws one of the league’s worst defenses on the road — a matchup that should pose no resistance to another top-three finish.

N.Y. Giants @ Detroit Lions — O/U 50.0 (DET -10.5)

Jared Goff (QB9) remains rock-solid at home and should rebound nicely against a Giants defense allowing the ninth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks on average over the past three weeks.

On the other side, Jaxson Dart (QB12) missed last week’s game due to a concussion, so there’s still a chance he doesn’t suit up. But if he’s cleared, his rushing ability and a potential negative game script give him a very safe fantasy floor. Even against a stout Lions defense, Dart offers plenty of upside thanks to his mobility and volume potential.

⚖️ Mid-Range Totals (Balanced — 44 to 47)

These games can break either way — fantasy desserts or defensive casserole depending on script.

Buffalo Bills @ Houston Texans — O/U 44.0 (BUF -5.5)

Josh Allen (QB4) stays in elite territory thanks to his rushing floor and red-zone usage. Houston’s defense has been outstanding, but Allen’s combination of volume and goal-line involvement keeps him matchup-proof. He carries clear top-three upside.

Davis Mills (QB20) gets the start in a tricky matchup. Buffalo has tightened up in coverage recently, but Mills has been defying expectations with back-to-back QB1 finishes in C.J. Stroud’s absence. Still, he profiles as a low-end QB2 this week — more of a Superflex desperation play than a comfortable starter.

N.Y. Jets @ Baltimore Ravens — O/U 44.5 (BAL -13.5)

Lamar Jackson (QB3) gets a Jets defense that has regressed significantly since trading away their star players at the deadline and continues to bleed big plays. Lamar should have no trouble rebounding from last week’s debacle and remains a no-brainer top-tier option thanks to his dual-threat abilities.

Tyrod Taylor (QB25) has been named the starter after Justin Fields’ loss to the Patriots last week. He brings some rushing juice but a very limited ceiling, and a road matchup against Baltimore’s defense is a brutal draw. He’s only viable in deep Superflex formats.

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Chicago Bears — O/U 45.0 (CHI -2.5)

Mason Rudolph (QB26) should get the call with Aaron Rodgers dealing with a hand injury. While he does carry some upside against a Bears defense that’s allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks over the past three weeks, he’s best viewed as a desperation Superflex play.

Caleb Williams (QB13) is coming off one of his worst fantasy outputs of the season, but the rookie continues to impress on tape. With Chicago at home and favored, he’s set up for another efficient outing. He remains a high-floor QB2 with top-10 upside if he can tap into his rushing production.

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Arizona Cardinals — O/U 47.5 (JAC -2.5)

Trevor Lawrence (QB17) rebounded from last week’s QB21 finish to post a QB11 outing, throwing for a score and adding another on the ground against a tough Chargers defense. This week, he travels to Arizona to face a Cardinals unit that has actually been pretty stingy against quarterbacks over the past three weeks. Even so, his rushing should give him a solid enough floor to land in the mid-range QB2 mix.

Jacoby Brissett (QB11) draws an excellent matchup at home against a Jaguars defense allowing the 11th-most fantasy points to quarterbacks (20.0 per game). Brissett has quietly kept producing as the starter in Arizona, and this week should be no different — with or without Marvin Harrison Jr.

Philadelphia Eagles @ Dallas Cowboys — O/U 48.0 (PHI -3.5)

Jalen Hurts (QB1) headlines my rankings — and for good reason. Even when inefficient, his rushing floor makes him bulletproof. Expect a bounce-back performance in a high-energy NFC East clash.

Dak Prescott (QB8) has been strong at home and carries top-10 upside again, but the matchup is far tougher than last week. He’s a steady QB1 with a slightly lowered ceiling.

🛑 Low-Total Games (Defensive Grind — 43 or Less)

Expect a slower pace, conservative play calling, and lower passing ceilings.

Seattle Seahawks @ Tennessee Titans — O/U 40.5 (SEA -13.5)

Sam Darnold (QB15) finished as the QB26 and QB25 over the past two weeks after posting a QB5 performance back in Week 9. This week sets up as an excellent bounce-back opportunity against a Titans defense allowing the fifth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks over the past three weeks (22.5 per game).

Cam Ward (QB28) remains purely a developmental option. Tennessee’s offense limits his opportunities and game script rarely favors volume. Not startable.

Minnesota Vikings @ Green Bay Packers — O/U 41.0 (GB -6.5)

J.J. McCarthy (QB22) has shown promise but remains inconsistent. This tough road matchup keeps him firmly in the low-QB2 bucket.

After finishing as the QB24 over the previous two weeks, Jordan Love (QB19) finally got back on track with a QB8 performance in the road matchup against the Giants. This week he returns home to face a Vikings defense that has been middle-of-the-pack in fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks over the past three weeks. In this tough divisional showdown, I don’t expect Love to deliver more than mid- to low-end QB2 numbers.

Cleveland Browns @ Las Vegas Raiders — O/U 37.0 (LV -3.5)

Dillon Gabriel (QB27) is not a recommended start. San Francisco’s pressure and speed overwhelm young quarterbacks, making him a hard fade outside of emergency Superflex use.

Despite getting blown out, Geno Smith (QB24) was somehow able to finish as the QB15 thanks to an extremely negative game script. Being at home helps, but the upside remains very limited.

Atlanta Falcons @ New Orleans Saints — O/U 39.0 (NO -2)

Kirk Cousins (QB23) takes over for the injured Michael Penix Jr. (knee), but even he profiles as a low-end QB2 in a matchup that offers few scoring opportunities.

Tyler Shough (QB21) has some upside in a road matchup against the lowly Raiders. If he’s ever going to put up usable numbers, it’s this game.

🌙 Primetime Magic — Sunday & Monday Night

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ L.A. Rams — O/U 49.0 (LAR -6.5)

Matthew Stafford (QB6) came back down to earth a bit last week, finishing as the QB16 after posting QB4, QB8, and QB2 performances over the previous three weeks. He’s playing at an MVP-level pace, and that should continue as he’ll need to throw all over the field against Baker Mayfield’s visiting Buccaneers.

Baker Mayfield (QB14) faces a much tougher task. While he’s been playing better lately, the Rams’ defense tightens significantly in the red zone. He remains a high-end QB2 with plenty of upside if this turns into a Sunday night shootout.

Carolina Panthers @ San Francisco 49ers — O/U 48.5 (SF -6.5)

Brock Purdy (QB7) is back in the QB1 circle with a clean bill of health and a home matchup where Shanahan’s offense should feast. Carolina’s defense folds against precision passers — Purdy has top-five upside.

Bryce Young (QB18) continues to produce and shouldn’t have any trouble following up last week’s monster performance with another usable fantasy stat line.
