Week 12 represents a critical juncture in the fantasy football landscape. We are just a couple of short weeks from the end of the 2025 fantasy football regular season. Each decision could mean the difference between a date with destiny in December or sitting on the sidelines. I am helping fantasy managers sort through the chaos with my Week 12 Flex rankings. As always, I base my rankings on Half-PPR scoring. Those in leagues with variant scoring settings may need to adjust as needed. These are also subject to change throughout the week based on injuries and other circumstances. Please comment below with any specific questions you may have regarding your Week 12 start/sit decisions. Good luck, and may the fantasy gods and goddesses be with you!

Running Back Notes
This week is an interesting one for ranking running backs because, despite four teams having a bye, there isn’t as much impact as you would think. Miami Dolphins running back De’Von Achane is the only back currently in the top-24 in fantasy points based on Half-PPR scoring that will be idle in Week 12. Sure, some of that has to do with injuries to J.K. Dobbins and Omarion Hampton, but the point remains. At least fantasy managers can stop trying to fool themselves into starting Jacory Croskey-Merritt for another week.
Buccaneers running back Sean Tucker had mainly been a touchdown-or-bust fantasy commodity before last week. The team had given him more work with Bucky Irving out, but Rachaad White was still the more fantasy-friendly option. Tucker’s output against the Buffalo Bills may have changed that perception. Tucker ran for 106 yards and two touchdowns and added a touchdown reception in Tampa Bay’s Week 11 loss. He earned 21 touches to White’s 12. We have just seen Tucker’s best game, and his upcoming matchup against the Los Angeles Rams will be much more challenging. I have Tucker outside the top-50 overall in my Week 12 Flex rankings. That means I view him as more of an RB3/Flex than a must-start. However, he can still be a viable option depending on your other alternatives.
The New York Giants had a pair of running backs post top-15 fantasy finishes last week. Tyrone Tracy Jr. had 139 scrimmage yards on 23 touches, while Devin Singletary had 17 touches and ran for two scores. The usage and performance were noteworthy, given that it was the first game under interim head coach Mike Kafka. A neutral game script allowed New York to rely on both running backs. That may not be the case this week when they travel to Detroit to face the Lions. Singletary will likely continue to be more involved than those who count on Tracy would like. But Tracy still looks like the favorite among the two. Tracy is a solid Flex play in 12-team leagues, with Singletary more of an RB3.
Wide Receiver Notes
Not to be outdone by Sean Tucker’s blowup game, Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Wilson went off for 26 Half-PPR points. The most impressive part was that Wilson didn’t even score a touchdown. He caught 15 passes for 185 yards in Arizona’s loss to San Francisco. Before last week, if you combined Wilson’s two most productive games in his three-year NFL career, he totaled 15 receptions and 181 yards. It was a perfect storm, as Arizona fell behind after the first play from scrimmage and trailed throughout. They were also without Marvin Harrison Jr, which enabled Wilson to operate as the team’s top wideout. That should be the case this week as well, as Harrison is not expected to play. While we cannot expect another 26-point outburst, Michael Wilson is a solid WR3 in this matchup.
In addition to obvious starters Jonathan Taylor and Tyler Warren, I have three Indianapolis Colts wide receivers inside the top-100 overall in my Week 12 Flex rankings. All three are inside my top-40 wide receivers. Odds are that one of them may fall short of expectations, but you can make a case for starting all three of them. Michael Pittman Jr. is probably the safest of the bunch. He leads the group in targets, receptions, and touchdowns. Alec Pierce is the team’s best deep threat. He leads the NFL in yards per catch and has earned more volume in recent weeks. However, his touchdown catch in the Colts’ last game was his first of the season. Josh Downs has ceded some targets to Pierce, but remains very much involved in the red zone. Downs leads the club with nine red zone targets this season.
Similarly, I also ranked three Jacksonville Jaguars wideouts among the top 40 wide receivers in Week 12. However, the roles of Brian Thomas Jr., Parker Washington, and Jakobi Meyers feel much less defined than the triumvirate in Indianapolis. Thomas has struggled all season compared to last year’s overall WR4 performance as a rookie. He currently ranks outside the top-40 in fantasy points per game among wide receivers. Parker Washington has stepped up in recent weeks and has proven to be a PPR asset. However, the introduction of veteran Jakobi Meyers following a deadline trade seemed to muddy the waters a bit. Meyers had five catches for 64 yards in his Jaguars debut last week. Washington led the team in snaps, but earned just two targets. Assuming Thomas returns this week, this will be a messy situation for fantasy managers to navigate.
Tight End Notes
Don’t look now, but Travis Kelce is the overall TE2 based on total points and has scored 10 or more fantasy points in five of his last six games. He is going to finish the year inside the top five barring injury. Kelce continues to defy the odds and remains an elite option despite his advanced age. He has an elite Week 12 matchup against an Indianapolis defense that has given up the third-most receiving yards to opposing tight ends this year. It would not be surprising to see Kelce with a little extra juice on Sunday with Tyler Warren on the other sideline. Both tight ends should continue to produce in this game. I ranked both Warren and Kelce as top-five options at the position this week. Â
