2025 Fantasy Football: Week 3 Quarterback Rankings

What a wild Week 2 that was. Jared Goff exploded for a slate-leading 34 fantasy points, while Russell Wilson somehow turned back the clock as the surprise QB2 with 31.3 in a surprising shootout against the Cowboys. Lamar Jackson and Drake Maye both tied for QB3 at 26.3 points, showing that established stars and new faces can share the spotlight. Even Spencer Rattler (21.7) and Mac Jones (21.8) cracked the top-10, turning in startable weeks nobody saw coming.

Meanwhile, some big names stumbled. Joe Burrow managed only 7.0 points before exiting with a toe injury, Josh Allen posted a modest 11.8 mostly thanks to an inept Jets offense, and Jalen Hurts underwhelmed with 11.5. Caleb Williams fell back to 18.0 after a splashy Week 1 debut. It was the kind of week that reminded us again just how volatile the quarterback position can be.

🔥 High-Total Games (Shootout Potential – 47+)

These matchups are the likeliest to deliver fantasy fireworks.

Detroit at Baltimore — 51.5 (BAL -5.5)
→ This is the slate’s premier environment. Jared Goff was Week 2’s overall QB1 (34.0 fantasy points) and now draws a Ravens defense that can be hit through the air. Lamar Jackson (26.3 points last week) brings his usual dual-threat ceiling. Both are locked-in QB1s in a likely shootout.

Dallas at Chicago — 50.5 (CHI +1)
→ Dak Prescott (23.1 fantasy points last week) has weapons and is in an environment that could force passing volume. Caleb Williams had a modest Week 2 (18.0) but his rushing and weapons give him bounce-back potential in what profiles as a high-tempo contest.

Miami at Buffalo — 49.5 (BUF -13)
→ Tua Tagovailoa (19.6) faces a defense that just allowed chunk plays to mobile passers. Josh Allen (11.8) was quiet last week, but remains a slate-breaking option and guaranteed bounce-back candidate, especially if Miami’s offense shows up.

⚖️ Mid-Range Totals (Balanced – 44 to 46.5)

Decent scoring environments that could swing based on game flow.

Denver at L.A. Chargers — 45.5 (LAC -2.5)
→ Bo Nix (21.2) bounced back from a quiet Week 1 to finish as the QB12 last week. Justin Herbert (18.8) has a chance to spike if forced into high volume at home.

Raiders at Washington — 44.5 (WAS -3.5)
→ Jayden Daniels (19.7) remains locked in as a rushing-floor QB1/2 option. The Raiders’ QB situation has been volatile, but if the game turns pass-heavy, there’s superflex appeal for Geno Smith.

Steelers at Patriots — 44.5 (NE +1)
→ Aaron Rodgers (12.4) came back down to earth in Week 2 following a clock-turning Week 1, but he has a decent ceiling if the Steelers lean pass. Drake Maye (26.3) showed us his fantasy ceiling last week, and his rushing has turned him into a weekly top-12 option with plenty of upside.

Rams at Eagles — 44.5 (PHI -3)
→ Matthew Stafford (18.3) is a steady low-end QB2 floor play at home. Jalen Hurts (11.5) has been quiet but still carries slate-breaking rushing upside if this game tilts into a track meet at home.

Jets at Buccaneers — 44.5 (TB -7)
→ Baker Mayfield (19.9) has quietly been a top-15 QB with his legs, plus he has Mike Evans and rookie phenom Emeka Egbuka at his disposal. Justin Fields (concussion) isn’t a lock to play, but he’d be a Top-12 option if he suits up despite an horrific showing in Week 2. If Fields sits, Tyrod Taylor’s low output makes him a desperation only in superflex.

Chiefs at Giants — 44.5 (NYG +6)
→ Patrick Mahomes (23.1) versus a shaky Giants secondary is always stackable. Russell Wilson (31.3 last week!) has turned back the clock; if forced to chase Mahomes again, he’s a high-end QB2 with some upside.

🛑 Low-Total Games (Defensive Grind – 43.5 or less)

Expect a slower pace, defense-first play, or run-heavy scripts.

Packers vs Browns — 42.5 (CLE +7.5)
→ Jordan Love (20.9) has provided steady numbers but faces a tough Browns pass rush. Joe Flacco (9.8) is purely a desperation superflex play.

Colts vs Titans — 43.5 (TEN +3.5)
→ Daniel Jones (22.8) has rushing floor but faces a rugged Titans front. Cam Ward (9.8) remains a developmental project—use only in 2-QB leagues.

Falcons vs Panthers — 43.5 (CAR +5.5)
→ Michael Penix Jr. (5.3) is still finding his footing; ceiling only if forced into volume. Bryce Young (22.3) bounced back last week after a dreadful Week 1 to finish as the QB8. He is playable in deep formats thanks to sneaky rushing and improving weapons.

Texans vs Jaguars — 43.5 (JAX -1)
→ C.J. Stroud (15.0) is a safe floor play; Trevor Lawrence (21.2) brings stacking appeal with Thomas and Hunter if this game tilts upward.

Cardinals vs 49ers — 43.5 (SF -1.5)
→ Kyler Murray (15.0) remains safe but unspectacular. Mac Jones (21.8) is a superflex-only play filling in for San Francisco.

Saints at Seahawks — 41.5 (SEA -7.5)
→ Spencer Rattler (21.7) has flashed rushing floor but faces a tough Seattle defense. Sam Darnold (17.8) is boom-or-bust, usable only in deep superflex.

Bengals at Vikings — 41.5 (MIN -3)
→ With Joe Burrow (toe) on injured reserve, it’ll be Jake Browning getting the starting nod. Pass. With J.J. McCarthy (ankle) out 2-4 weeks, it’ll be journeyman Carson Wentz getting the starting nod. Pass. Let’s cross our fingers that he can get Justin Jefferson the ball.
