2026 Fantasy Football: Week 4 D/ST Streamers

While the Giants put up a great defensive performance against the Titans, the rest of the streamers were lackluster. Options were rather thin, but even the stronger plays disappointed. Let’s move on to Week 4 and the best D/STs to stream for your fantasy football lineup.

Week 4 D/ST Streamers

All D/STs are rostered in under 50% of Fantrax leagues

Last Week’s Stashes: New Orleans Saints, Cleveland Browns

Buffalo Bills (vs. New England Patriots)

Fantrax Rostership: 50% (Other Platforms: 8% – 25%)

Chasing last week’s results is not a recipe for success. While each week gives us more data, sometimes an early struggle can be explained. Drake Maye went from an MVP hopeful to a fantasy bust in just a few months. The former third overall pick averages under 200 passing yards per game and has only scored a single TD while leading the league with six interceptions. However, Maye has played against the Seahawks, Steelers, and Jaguars. After ranking 11th or better in DVOA last year, they’re all top-10 this year.

Buffalo’s defense is struggling. The Bills have allowed 78 points in three games and have allowed seven passing TDs to just 1 interception. However, there is a reason to like Buffalo as a D/ST streamer this week. The Bills have nine sacks on the season, sixth most in the NFL. They are also pressuring opposing QBs on 29% of dropbacks per Pro Football Reference, also sixth-highest in the league. Greg Rousseau leads the league with six sacks and eight tackles for loss.

Drake Maye ranks dead last in PFF passing grade when under pressure. Maye also has a 10.6% turnover-worthy play percentage when under pressure per PFF. New England’s signal caller is being pressured on 23.2% of his dropbacks according to Pro Football Reference, and that could continue against Rousseau and the Bills. Not only has Maye lost A.J. Brown as his best target, but his offensive line is hurt too. Guards Mike Onwenu and Greg Van Roten are both on IR. While Maye can turn things around, Buffalo’s pass rush can make that difficult. Stream the Bills D/ST in Week 4 but don’t expect a massive ceiling.

Cleveland Browns (vs. Pittsburgh Steelers)

Fantrax Rostership: 28% (Other Platforms: 2% – 32%)

Believe it or not, the Cleveland Browns are 2-1. They host the division rival Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday Night Football. The Browns D/ST was one of my sleeper D/STs this year and has looked the part the past two weeks. Cleveland has now put up consecutive 10-point fantasy performances. That stretch includes six sacks, two turnovers, and under 20 points allowed in each game. Can they continue against an up-and-down Steelers offense?

Something that killed Pittsburgh against the Patriots was what allowed them to succeed against the Bengals. Offensive line play was night and day in those two games. First-round pick Max Iheanachor made his first start last week and only allowed two pressures. Rodgers was still sacked twice and threw an interception against the Bengals, but the offense put up points. We just don’t know what version of Aaron Rodgers we will get this week, which makes the Browns an interesting streaming option. Not only has Cleveland shown up against middling opponents, but they play the Steelers at home and on short rest. While that may not immediately result in a better defensive performance, it could create a sloppier game, which would benefit D/STs.

The Browns have bounced back since their 34-3 loss to the Jaguars in Week 1. Deshaun Watson and the offense have looked better, helping to keep the defense off the field instead of immediately stalling and exhausting them. Whether that will be enough to warrant streaming their D/ST will have to be seen. When you’re thin on options, though, you need to play the matchups and look for upside. The Browns have that upside in Week 4.

Arizona Cardinals (at New York Giants)

Fantrax Rostership: 7% (Other Platforms: 0% – 1%)

Things are getting bleak in New York. Jameis Winston has thrown 49 times in two games this year but only has a combined 229 passing yards, no TDs, and an interception. To Winston’s credit, it has not been a great situation thus far. He was thrown into a game against the Rams without Malik Nabers and then played in a rainstorm the week after. However, turnovers are likely to continue even if passing efficiency improves.

We are nearly a decade removed from Winston’s 5,000-yard, 30-TD and 30-INT season. Winston never got back to those highs and was never a full-time starter again. In his journey across the league since then, he has thrown 35 TDs but 26 INTs. You can’t truly use past season performance to predict the future, but at this point it’s evident that Winston is prone to turning the ball over at a high rate. Winston has also taken five sacks on 54 dropbacks this year.

Despite Winston’s struggles, the Cardinals are still a risk. Arizona got beat up by the Seahawks and 49ers, allowing over 30 points in each of those games. The Cardinals are 31st in defensive DVOA and 29th in defensive EPA/play. However, those struggles are exactly why the Cardinals are one of the least rostered D/STs in the league. The matchup is good enough to risk them if you’re truly desperate. If all of the above options are gone, consider streaming the Cardinals D/ST in Week 4.

D/STs to Stash

Dallas Cowboys

The Buccaneers were already having offensive problems, but they’ve now lost their starting QB. Baker Mayfield dislocated his thumb and will likely miss multiple weeks. Currently, Jalon Daniels is set to start at QB. Daniels joined the Buccaneers as an undrafted free-agent who threw three incompletions – including an interception – in his brief relief of the injured Mayfield last week. Baker Mayfield was sacked a league-high 13 times before going down. While Daniels may not get sacked quite as much, there is a clear struggle on Tampa Bay’s offensive line. We also get a week to watch how Daniels does against the Packers. If he turns out to be elite, you can simply drop the Cowboys D/ST. They’re worth a stash.
