Wide Receiver Notes

  • Let’s start with Garrett Wilson as my WR7 going against the Chicago Bears. It is great to see Wilson back to his elite form following his injury last season. Wilson now has touchdowns in back-to-back games. In those two games, he also has 15 targets, which is leading the team. Wilson has no competition at the wide receiver position besides their tight end, Kenyon Sadiq. Wilson is a must-start every week.
  • Next, I have Tetairoa McMillan as my WR12 going against the Lions. McMillan has not had the best start, but that is going to change this week. The Lions are giving up 32.7 fantasy points per game to wide receivers. Jalen Coker could also miss Week 4, as he left last week with a quad injury, but it does not look to be a long-term injury. Look for McMillan to light it up this week.
  • Lastly, I have Brian Thomas Jr. as my WR52. Thomas needs to be dropped in all leagues. For the season, he has 88 yards on seven receptions. In both blowout games, he was only targeted three times in Week 1 and one time last week. It is clear that Parker Washington and Jakobi Meyers are the clear WR1 and WR2 on this team. Also, while in the red zone this season, Thomas has zero targets, while Washington has three and Meyers has two. This matchup against the Bengals looks enticing, but it is clear Thomas is nonexistent in this offense.
