It is that time again. Saturday. Time to go check who is out there on the wire in your league. Time to grab players that might become a huge value after Week 4. The must-stash guys. I am Mr. Mustashio, and I am here to give you players to tuck away on your bench prior to Sunday’s kickoff.
We’ll look at who is available in less than roughly 50% of leagues across platforms.
Let’s look at where potential value lies.

Week 4 Weekend Waiver Wire
Quarterbacks
Kirk Cousins, Las Vegas Raiders
Cousins has thrown 3 touchdowns in each game this season. In Week 3, the total was 248 yards and 3 touchdowns. Cousins has 9 total touchdowns this season. I just can’t argue with production. If you need quarterback help you may want to look for Cuz.
Geno Smith, New York Jets
Geno delivered in Week 3, throwing for 321 yards and three touchdowns while adding 12 rushing yards on two carries. Sure, the Lions offered about as friendly a matchup as a quarterback could ask for, but you still have to cash in. Geno did exactly that. Yo, Geno! New York hasn’t had a quarterback name this good since Tommy Cutlets. Grab a slice and take a bow. You earned it.
Other quarterbacks to consider
- Jacoby Brissett, Arizona Cardinals: 280 yards, 2 TDs; 4 yards. TD rushing
- Marcus Mariota, Washington Commanders: 183 yards, 3 TDs; 11 yards rushing
- Case Keenum, Chicago Bears: 247 yards, 2 TDs; 6 yards, rushing TD
Quarterback Notes: Marcus Mariota is filling in nicely for the Commanders and giving fantasy managers a usable option while he’s under center. Jacoby Brissett delivered against a tough 49ers defense, and his schedule gets friendlier from here. With the Giants and Lions up next, he could be worth more than a one-week rental.
Running Backs
Jaylen Wright, Miami Dolphins
Wright is currently listed as the starter on the Dolphins’ official depth chart. That is enough to make him an addition right now.
Other running backs to consider:
- Brian Robinson, Atlanta Falcons: 10 carries, 50 yards, TD
- Mike Washington, Las Vegas Raiders: 5 carries, 54 yards, TD
- Emanual Wilson, Seattle Seahawks: 9 carries, 14 yards, Jadarian Price is out this week
Running Back Notes: Brian Robinson continues to offer standalone value in Atlanta, making him more than an insurance policy. Washington is another intriguing addition after Ashton Jeanty needed his ankle taped during Week 3. Washington showed he can produce when called upon and belongs on your radar. At minimum, he is a high-end handcuff. Emmet Johnson and Kaelon Black also fall into that category. Wilson is a great plug and play for Week 4.
Wide Receivers
Keenan Allen, Indianapolis Colts
Houston has struggled to contain wide receivers, and Allen took full advantage in Week 3. He turned nine targets into six receptions, 63 yards, and a touchdown. Next up are the Commanders, another defense giving up plenty of production to the position. With Alec Pierce out, Allen has an opportunity to keep the targets—and fantasy points—coming.
Kalif Raymond, Chicago Bears
Kalif Raymond leading the Bears’ receiving corps? That probably wasn’t on your preseason bingo card. He leads the group across the major receiving categories and added seven targets, six receptions, 90 yards, and a touchdown in Week 3. This is one of the stranger breakout stories we have seen in a while, but fantasy points count regardless of the name attached. He is shaping up to be this year’s Michael Wilson.
Other Wide Receivers to Consider
- Mack Hollins, New England Patriots: Nine targets, six receptions, 87 yards.
- Tre’ Harris, Los Angeles Chargers: Seven targets, six receptions, 76 yards.
- Chris Bell, Miami Dolphins: Seven targets, four receptions, 67 yards.
- Brycen Tremayne, Carolina Panthers: Six targets, four receptions, 83 yards.
Wide Receiver Notes: Allen should remain relevant, especially with Alec Pierce sidelined. Tremayne might be the name that makes you do a double take, but playing 81% of the offensive snaps gets my attention. If Coker misses time, Tremayne could have an opportunity to build on that usage.
Hollins, Harris, and Bell are also showing signs of becoming larger parts of their respective passing games. Roman Wilson remains on the radar, too. He followed up our earlier mention with six targets, three receptions, 74 yards, and a touchdown Thursday night. You will have to wait until Tuesday to add him, but keep his name handy.
Tight Ends
Tyler Higbee, Los Angeles Rams
Yes, Tyler Higbee. You probably weren’t expecting to see this name here. Terrence Ferguson injured his ankle and appeared limited after returning, opening the door for Higbee to step up. He caught eight passes for 62 yards and a touchdown on 11 targets.
That represented a 20% target share, second most on the team. Higbee also played 71% of the offensive snaps, leading all Rams tight ends. Those are numbers worth watching, especially if Ferguson remains limited.
Darren Waller, Carolina Panthers
Waller caught all three of his targets for 33 yards and two touchdowns in Week 2. The touchdowns grabbed our attention, but his Week 3 usage gave us another reason to look. He drew eight targets and finished with five receptions for 51 yards.
That is an encouraging sign that he is carving out a role in the Panthers’ passing game. Waller is a baller—and the growing opportunity makes him worth a look.
Other Tight Ends to Consider
- J. Barner, Seattle Seahawks: Nine targets, five receptions, 69 yards.
- Noah Fant, New Orleans Saints: Four targets, two receptions, 33 yards, two touchdowns.
- Cade Otton, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Six targets, three receptions, 56 yards.
Tight End Notes: Keep Otton on your radar. He has shown he can produce when the opportunities come his way. Barner remains a matchup-dependent option, but Darnold is looking his way more often than Drew Lock did. That gives us something to work with when the matchup cooperates.
Fant is also worth considering. The touchdowns are appealing, and his playing time adds to the case for rostering him. I would make room for him in two-tight-end leagues and Scott Fish Bowl formats.
My Priority Order
- Emanual Wilson, RB
- Jaylen Wright, RB
- Kalif Raymond, WR
- Keenan Allen, WR
- Tyler Higbee, TE
- Brian Robinson, RB
- Tre’ Harris, WR
- Geno Smith, QB
- Darren Waller, TE
- J. Barner, TE
- Kirk Cousins, QB
