This is it. Week 14 is here and this could be the most important RB ranking of the year. It is do-or-die and Week 14 comes with a hit with bye weeks. No Jonathan Taylor, Aaron Jones, Alvin Kamara, David Montgomery, and Cordarrelle Patterson.
So who do you start or pick up in place of these players? Isiah Pacheco has a great matchup this week, along with Alexander Mattison or even Jamaal Williams. All of which can be plugged in as an RB2 or flex option.
Let’s make sure you make the playoffs this year and head into the championship. Just one more week.
Week 14 RB Notes:
- Let’s start with Pacheco, he is my RB15 on the week and has the Denver Broncos this week. Stat-wise, the Broncos have been tough against running backs. Just two weeks ago, D’Onta Foreman went for 113 yards on the ground. Pacheco has back-to-back games with touchdowns and has 12 attempts inside the 20. He was on the field 92% of the time while in the red zone. Pacheco is a must-start this week.
- Josh Jacobs is my RB1 this week, the first time this season, and it was tough to have him over Austin Ekeler. But, you have to go by the numbers and not the name. In Jacobs’ last three games he has 482 rushing yards and three touchdowns. He does have the Rams this week, but I still think he finishes as my RB1 this week.
- Foreman is my RB25 on the week against Seattle. The Seahawks are giving up the fourth most fantasy points to running backs this season. And with Sam Darnold leading the offense, the Panthers look much more balanced. Foreman has been inconsistent this season, but I know this week he will go off in a shootout. Start him as your RB2 and you won’t be sorry.
- If you are in a deep league, Mattison is a great pickup for the week. The Vikings have Detroit, in what should be a high-scoring game for the Vikings. Mattison hasn’t seen many opportunities, but he is in line to steal some goal-line touches. He is a sneaky flex option this week.
