Deep League Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Adds for Week 14
Luke Kennard, SG – Memphis Grizzlies (51% rostered)
Kennard has excelled since being inserted into the starting lineup seven games ago, averaging 13.0 points, 4.0 assists 3.4 rebounds, and 3.1 three-pointers in 28.7 minutes during that span. The Duke product has also been ON FIRE *NBA JAM voice* from beyond the arc, shooting a BLISTERING 53.7%. The 27-year-old is a no-brainer add, especially if you want triples, points, rebounds, and assists while helping out in field-goal percentage.
Alec Burks, SG – Detroit Pistons (49% rostered)
Burks has scored double-digit points in a PHENOMENAL 13 straight games, averaging 19.3 points along with 3.7 three-pointers and 2.8 rebounds in 24.7 minutes during that span. The Colorado product has taken full advantage of Cade Cunningham’s absence, soaking up a ton of usage while also shooting 47.0% from the field and 48.0% from beyond the arc. The 32-year-old is on a heater and needs to be picked up for points, triples, and boards.
Sam Merrill, SG – Cleveland Cavaliers (19% rostered)
Merrill has hit the BANG *Mike Breen voice* button at least twice in eight straight games, averaging 3.5 triples to go along with 13.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists in 24.8 minutes off the bench during that span. The Utah State product has been a three-point catalyst off the bench for Cleveland, and he should continue dominating from beyond the arc while contributing plenty of points, boards, and dimes.
Ayo Dosunmu, PG/SG – Chicago Bulls (34% rostered)
Ayooo! Dosunmu has double-digit points and at least three dimes in four straight games, averaging 15.3 points and 4.0 assists to go along with 3.0 rebounds, 1.8 three-pointers, and 1.0 stocks in 27.1 minutes during that span. The Illinois product is taking full advantage of Zach Lavine’s absence, who is expected to be out one-to-two more weeks with a right ankle sprain. Add the 24-year-old for points, dimes, boards, and treys with the occasional stock for the next one-to-two weeks.
Nicolas Batum, SF/PF/C – Philadelphia 76ers (29% rostered)
Batum is up to his old ways as of late, contributing across the board. Over the past six games, the versatile forward out of France is averaging 7.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.7 three-pointers, and 2.0 stocks in 29.1 minutes during that span. On top of across-the-board stats, the 35-year-old is also shooting 60.7% from the field and 58.8% from beyond the arc. “Batman” is a stone-cold nine-category add in ALL leagues.
Jontay Porter, PF/C – Toronto Raptors (22% rostered)
Porter has started the last four games for Toronto, and while he isn’t lighting it up, he has posted decent stats over the past two games, averaging 8.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.0 steals, 1.5 blocks, and 1.0 three-pointers in 20.4 minutes. The Missouri product won’t wow you in the points or boards department, but he has been excellent in the swipes, swaps, and triples department. Make the add if you want a safe floor big man, and reap the benefits while Jakob Poeltl (ankle) remains on the sidelines.
Dorian Finney-Smith, SF/PF/C – Brooklyn Nets (42% rostered)
Finney-Smith doesn’t put the ball in the basket much, but he’s been rebounding and swatting at a decent clip over the last four games averaging 6.3 boards and 1.3 swats to go along with 3.8 points and 0.8 steals during that span. If you can’t stomach the poor field-goal percentage, the Florida product might not be for you. If you need a safe-floor fantasy asset who is starting and receiving 28-plus minutes a game while contributing rebounds, blocks, steals, and three-pointers, the 30-year-old is your guy.
Dean Wade, PF – Cleveland Cavaliers (13% rostered)
According to NBA JAM rules, Wade is ON FIRE, averaging 11.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.3 three-pointers, and 1.7 steals over the past three games. The Kansas State product has started the past 19 games for Cleveland and deserves a look in all deep leagues for managers wanting triples, swipes, boards, and points.
