In the 21st week of the 2023-24 NHL season, there are some interesting options in net you can add to your fantasy team. Whether you need goalies for just this week or for longer, we’ll cover the best ones to pick up. When looking for goalies to stream in fantasy hockey, it’s best to look at back-to-backs, if there are injuries to starters, or if a starter is struggling. This is a look at the three best goalie streams in Week 21 of the fantasy hockey season.
Fantasy Hockey Week 21 Goalie Streams
Petr Mrazek, Chicago Blackhawks
Adding a goalie from the Chicago Blackhawks may not be your first choice because of how little wins they have on the season, but this week may be different. The Blackhawks play four times and have two back-to-backs. What makes these back-to-backs interesting is the teams they play. They have the Colorado Avalanche and Arizona Coyotes early in the week, but then have the Washington Capitals and Coyotes again at the end of the week.
Petr Mrazek will likely at least get one of the game one starts, but if he can match up against the Coyotes, it would be ideal. At the very least, you will get two starts for your fantasy team. With Mrazek, he has been impressive for how bad the Blackhawks have been. He does have 13 of the team’s 15 wins and has a .908 SV%. That save percentage should win him more games, and against struggling teams, it very well may this week.
Akira Schmid, New Jersey Devils
The New Jersey Devils have had their problems in net, that is for sure. With Vitek Vanecek out, the net is up for grabs between Nico Daws and Akira Schmid. While Daws did some good work right when he was called up, that has since faded and he is struggling mightily, even getting pulled on Sunday against the Los Angeles Kings.
Schmid now has better numbers than Daws on the season and already sat ahead of Vanecek. I think it is time that the Devils go back to him for a little bit as Daws has allowed eight goals on his last 28 shots seen over two games. There isn’t much more to lose for the Devils in giving Schmid another real shot this season. They are out of the playoffs, in the hunt, and running out of time. The Devils don’t have the easiest schedule against the Florida Panthers, St. Louis Blues, and Carolina Hurricanes, but he should get at least two starts.
Kevin Lankinen, Nashville Predators
The Nashville Predators have been playing very well lately with eight wins in a row. Although Juuse Saros is a big part of that with six of those wins, Kevin Lankinen has got two of them. The Predators play four times this week, two of the games coming on a back-to-back. So at the very least, Lankinen is going to see a start, and potentially against a weaker opponent.
The Predators play four non-playoff teams; the Montreal Canadiens, Buffalo Sabres, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Minnesota Wild. The last two come on back-to-back days. Seeing as the Wild are in the same division and behind the Predators in the playoff hunt, it makes sense for Saros to get an extra day of rest and play in the more important game. This would see Lankinen get the start against the fourth-worst team in the league. He doesn’t have amazing numbers this season, but it is more than likely the Predators will win his start.

Make sure to take advantage of these goalies for this week. The longer you wait, the more of a chance someone you may want is picked up before you get to them. There are early games that you will want to take advantage of as well. While a couple of these goaltenders should get at least one start this week, be sure to keep an eye on any other options throughout the week that may become solid options as well.
