NHL action is back and so are the top picks for fantasy hockey goalies that will help you along this week. Some goalies are dealing with injuries from before or during the 4 Nations Face-Off or have yet to be picked up and taken advantage of. With that being the case, here are three goaltenders that you can add for Week 19 that should put you over the edge and give you an advantage.
Fantasy Hockey Week 19 Goalie Streams
Lukas Dostal, Anaheim Ducks
John Gibson left the Anaheim Ducks’ game on Saturday and Lukas Dostal is the goalie that is here to step up. He has had a strong season and held the Ducks afloat at the beginning of the season before taking a backseat once Gibson was healthy. The Ducks aren’t a great team, but can win games and Dostal can shut the door as he’s proven this season.
Ahead of the Ducks’ game on Sunday, Dostal has put up 16 wins in 30 games to go along with a 2.86 GAA, .911 SV%, and one shutout. He has won five consecutive appearances and even if Gibson returns mid-week, Dostal has gotten five of the last eight starts. He is the future and is started to be treated as such. The Ducks have an easy schedule against the Buffalo Sabres, Vancouver Canucks, and Chicago Blackhawks. Expect some good results in net.
Jake Allen, New Jersey Devils
Jake Allen has had some interesting numbers this season, but they are for the better. He has won two of his last five games, but both wins were shutouts, which is key in most fantasy hockey formats. The New Jersey Devils are a good team and are relatively healthy again minus Jacob Markstrom. The Devils’ starter isn’t expected back until the first half of March, so you have a little more time to take advantage of Allen.
The veteran has nine wins, a 2.58 GAA, .909 SV%, and four shutouts in 21 starts. Ideally, he would have gotten more wins on a good team like New Jersey, but having nearly half of his wins be shutouts is nothing to complain about. The Devils face off against the Colorado Avalanche, Utah Hockey Club, and Vegas Golden Knights and the final two games of the week are a back-to-back. Allen will get two starts.
Samuel Ersson, Philadelphia Flyers
Samuel Ersson has been overlooked for most of the season. He has been Philadelphia’s undisputed starter and while the Flyers aren’t as good as last season, their goalie has done the work and been serviceable. In deeper leagues, he is an option that shouldn’t be widely available unless people are sleeping. But in less populated leagues, he is a good streaming option.
Ersson has 17 wins this season to go along with a 2.81 GAA, .894 SV%, and two shutouts. The save percentage is what has brought his value down, but he has won eight of his last 12 games. The Flyers have three games this week and the first two come against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Although Sidney Crosby is known for dominating the Flyers throughout his career, the Penguins have been very bad and the advantage may sit with Philadelphia. The final game is against the Winnipeg Jets, which is not an easy matchup. I expect Ersson to get all three starts though.

The options this week should all give you the advantage if you are streaming a goalie. No goalie is ever a sure thing with how many were pulled the first day back after the 4 Nations Face-Off break, but given their position and matchups, you will hopefully not be disappointed. Be sure to come back next week for more of the top picks to stream each week.
