There are only two weeks left in most head-to-head leagues before the fantasy playoffs start. I’ll run through several key fantasy basketball waiver wire adds, who are still widely available in Fantrax leagues. Some of these players could be just what you need for a playoff push or even a championship run. Let’s take a look at four waiver wire adds for week 18 and beyond.
Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Adds
Richaun Holmes, PF/C, Washington Wizards
Holmes has seen his fantasy stock rise ever since Jonas Valanciunas was traded at the deadline. He has been an integral part of the rotation, receiving 25 minutes of playing time over the last four games. Over those four games, he has averaged 14.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.3 blocks. As an added bonus, he is shooting 91% from the field and 94% from the free-throw line over this span. If you are in need of some big man stats, be sure to consider Holmes a priority fantasy basketball waiver wire add.Â
Kris Dunn, PG, Los Angeles Clippers
Dunn has been a fixture in the Clippers lineup for the past 11 games, averaging 27 minutes of playing time over that stretch. He has become a defensive specialist, racking up an astounding 2.9 steals per contest in those 11 games. Dunn is putting up 9.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.3 three-pointers over his last eight games. He is providing solid value across the board, but if your team is in need of steals, Dunn is an immediate fantasy basketball waiver wire add.Â
Kevin Huerter, SG, Chicago Bulls
Huerter has benefitted immensely since he was traded. He was barely cracking the rotation in Sacramento, but he has found a significant role with Chicago. Huerter is averaging 30 minutes per contest over the last four games, contributing 16.3 points, 2.8 assists, 4.5 three-pointers, and 1.3 steals. Ayo Dosunmu is headed for season-ending shoulder surgery, which will open up even more minutes for Huerter. Go grab him off the waiver wire while you still can.
Quinten Post, SF/PF/C, Golden State Warriors
Not much was expected out of Post this season, as he was the 54th overall pick in the 2024 draft. However, Trayce Jackson-Davis has fallen out of the rotation and Post has been the main benefactor. He is averaging 12.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 2.4 three-pointers, and 1.2 steals over his last five games. He is also shooting a respectable 48% from the field and 83% from the free-throw line over that span. Post is rostered in just 21% of leagues right now, so there’s a good chance he is still sitting on your fantasy basketball waiver wire.
