The fantasy hockey regular season is right near the end, whether your league is starting playoffs or there is 1-2 more weeks. Goaltending is very important as every start could be a game-changer and either help or drastically hurt your chances. You’ll likely be looking for at least one goalie to stream this week, so here are the top options that should be available to you.
Fantasy Hockey Week 22 Goalie Streams
Tristan Jarry, Pittsburgh Penguins
Tristan Jarry desperately needed a reset and has come back to the NHL like a new goalie, one the Pittsburgh Penguins have grown to trust. It has been a tough year for him, but he has started four games in a row and has won them all, posting a .930 SV%. This is not only key to boosting SV%, but wins aren’t all that easy to come by. Adding someone who is red hot on a team that can now win games all of a sudden is a stroke of luck.
Jarry is now uncontested in the net because of how poorly Alex Nedeljkovic had played before Jarry was called back up. The Penguins have had no trouble scoring to back up the play in net by the starter. The team plays the New York Islanders, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Florida Panthers this week, so it isn’t the toughest schedule to roll through.
Jake Allen, New Jersey Devils
Jacob Markstrom has really struggled since coming back from injury, and that should open the door for Jake Allen to start more games to help the team hold their playoff spot and get into the postseason. He has started two of the last four games now, and not only has he won both, but the veteran also posted a combined .947 SV%. He has a .910 SV% on the season, so that is respectable for any goalie in the NHL these days.
The Devils have three games this week and he should be guaranteed at least one start, likely Monday against the Blue Jackets. The Devils follow that up with games against the Calgary Flames and Ottawa Senators. There are two important games against teams in the wildcard race, so expect New Jersey to put their best foot forward. Markstrom just let in six goals in the Devils’ last game, so it’s another reason why Allen should kick off the week in net.
Lukas Dostal, Anaheim Ducks
Lukas Dostal has played the majority of games this season for the Ducks and has done a great job stepping up to a role he didn’t expect to be in when the season started. John Gibson’s health has been a concern and he hasn’t played since March 5 at this time (five games). When Gibson has played, he’s been good, but Dostal has held down the crease.
Dostal has played in 11 of the last 13 games for the Ducks and won four of the last seven. The young goalie has a .920 SV% over the last two weeks and the Ducks match up against the Dallas Stars, Nashville Predators, and Carolina Hurricanes. The schedule could be easier, but the Stars were just shut out, the Predators have struggled to score all season, and the Hurricanes shoot a lot, inflating the SV% of opposing goalies. It could just work out very well, especially if Gibson still isn’t back.

There is a path where multiple of these goalies could be added during the week for even better matchups, but the NHL is unpredictable and anything could happen on any night. They will give you the best chance, and if you need it, come back next week for more of the top picks in net.
