There’s nothing like a divisional matchup to get our juices flowing to begin the week. The Seattle Seahawks travel to Arizona this week to face the Cardinals. There’s a lot to like from a DFS perspective, and we have our eye on all of it. With a 1.5 point spread, the Seahawks are favored, a close game is expected. How much offense we see might be a different story though with an over/under sitting at 43.5 points. Let’s dig into my Thursday Night Football DFS picks and rankings to help you set a winning lineup.

Thursday Night Football DFS Notes
Check Out the New Starter
We never want to see anyone get hurt. James Conner deserved better than a season-ending foot injury, but that means Trey Benson is now the starting running back for Arizona.
Benson has the potential, speed, and upside. Now he has the opportunity to match. It comes in a favorable matchup against the Seahawks, who have struggled against opposing running backs to begin the season. So far this season, Benson has 125 yards on 21 carries to go along with eight catches for 45 yards. This is going to be the week that we see Benson break out. The price isn’t too bad either.
Will He Ever Stop?
At this point, saying that Jaxon Smith-Njigba is going to finish with 100 receiving yards this week is boring. It’s less than bold, and the bold prediction is to actually say that Smith-Njigba will be shut down.
He’s four yards shy of three straight games of at least 100 yards while catching 22 passes for 323 yards. Smith-Njigba only has one touchdown so far on the season, and we know that number’s only going to rise from here. It’s not like his role is going to decrease as the chemistry with Sam Darnold is real.
McBride is a Beast
At times, it feels like the Arizona Cardinals only have one receiver. Kyler Murray simply locks into Trey McBride, and that’s evidenced by his 24 targets to this point. McBride has turned that into 17 catches for 182 yards and a touchdown.
Given the chemistry between McBride and Murray, there’s a lot to like on a weekly basis. In this particular week, the Seahawks have allowed the most DraftKings points to opposing tight ends. At this point, unfortunately, it almost feels too obvious.
Ride the Health
Kenneth Walker is healthy to begin the season, so let’s go with it. Last week, Walker didn’t do much with his 16 carries as he gained only 38 yards. But from a DFS perspective, is that really fair, though, as he scored two touchdowns?
In Week 2, Walker did gain 105 yards on 13 carries, but that came after an inefficient Week 1 in which he gained just 20 yards on 10 carries. Zach Charbonnet hasn’t been much of a factor so far this season, and Walker is in a good spot this week. Arizona has struggled against opposing running backs, and Walker is next in line.
Darnold Makes it Happen
After a rough start to the season, Sam Darnold has two touchdowns in each of the last two weeks. He’s yet to be in a position to truly let loose, and that makes him a better real life than DFS quarterback. Darnold should have another solid game tonight, but it’s not a must-play from a DFS perspective.
The Legs Save Murray
This has the potential to be a slate where you can build a winning lineup without either quarterback. If you were to pick one, though, Kyler Murray’s 107 rushing yards through the first three weeks of the season has the edge. Murray does have four passing touchdowns while carrying the ball either six or seven times each week. From a DFS perspective, that matters.
Which Harrison Will We See?
The talent is there, and we’re just waiting on Marvin Harrison to consistently deliver on it. Murray does look Harrison’s way, 17 targets, but not enough as you’d expect from a number one receiver. Harrison has only turned that into 10 catches for 142 yards and a touchdown in a disappointing start to the season. With the Seahawks allowing the second fewest points to opposing receivers, this could be a tough day.
