Waiver Wire Winners for Fantasy Football – Week 5
Wan’Dale Robinson (Giants WR)
On some sites, Wan’Dale Robinson might not fit the roster percentage criteria for this article, but on other sites, he does. It was confirmed on Monday that in Week 4, Malik Nabers unfortunately tore his ACL. Horrible news. Robinson’s role will be even more vital moving forward for rookie Jaxson Dart, who looked solid in his debut. Robinson opened up the season catching six of his eight targets for 55 yards in Week 1. In Week 2, Robinsn caught eight of 10 targets for 142 yards and a touchdown for 28.2 Fantasy Points. He’s been quiet the last two games, but Robinson is a true target earner with proven upside who has an elevated role now.
Woody Marks (Texans RB)
Rookie Woody Marks has been steadily growing within the Texans’ offense, with him earning three, then four, then seven, then 21 touches in Weeks 1-4. Marks played 56% of the snaps in Week 4, and out-touched Nick Chubb 21 to 15. 17 rushing attempts for 69 yards and a touchdown, along with four receptions for 50 yards and another touchdown, was an explosive day for 27.9 Fantasy Points.
The question will be what happens when Joe Mixon returns, but for now, Marks should continue to earn more and more work.
Rachaad White (Buccaneers RB)
Rachaad White rushed six times for 17 yards and caught four passes for another 29 yards in Week 4. This was the second week that White finished with 10+ touches, and the four receptions for 29 yards is encouraging to see because we know that sort of upside is what is in White’s bag. White rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown in Week 2 for 14.5 Fantasy Points, which shows he can have some stand-alone value.
Last season, with Bucky Irving emerging, White had plenty of quality Fantasy weeks still. He is at minimum a proven handcuff to roster. Bucky Irving is set to have an MRI, which could mean a huge role elevation if Bucky were to miss time
Kendre Miller (Saints RB)
Kendre Miller’s touches have steadily increased from five to six to nine to 11 touches across the last four weeks. Miller’s snap percentage has climbed from 15% to 27% and then to 31%. In Week 4, Miller rushed 11 times for 65 yards (5.9 yards per carry) and a touchdown, which was 12.5 Fantasy Points.
Alvin Kamara finished with 19 touches in Week 4, but Miller can create more of a committee approach, and an Alvin Kamara trade is not completely off the table. Bare minimum – solid handcuff.
Romeo Doubs (Packers WR)
Romeo Doubs finished with 68 receiving yards in Week 1, he then scored a touchdown in Week 2, then the Packers were a down offense in Week 3, and then he exploded for Fantasy Football in Week 4. Six catches on eight targets for 58 yards and three touchdowns were 29.8 Fantasy Points in Week 4.
Doubs led the team in targets, and with Jayden Reed on the IR, that is one less Packer to compete with. Doubs has clear touchdown upside with his connection to Jordan Love, evident through four receiving touchdowns over the last three weeks.
Elic Ayomanor (Titans WR)
Just two catches in Week 4 for rookie Elic Ayomanor was not great, but the positive signs were that he finished with 44 yards (22 yards per catch) and seven targets. In the prior two games, Ayomanor earned 11 total targets and scored a touchdown in both games. Ayomanor is averaging 6.25 targets per game from fellow rookie Cam Ward this season, and has shown to have some FLEX upside. Calvin Ridley was reported to have been dealing with an undisclosed injury that limited his Week 4 snaps, which would bump Elic’s target ceiling.
Kenneth Gainwell (Steelers RB)
Kenneth Gainwell has earned touches in each of the first three weeks of football, but with Jaylen Warren a surprise late scratch for Week 4, Gainwell had great volume that resulted in great production. 19 rushing attempts for 99 yards (5.2 yards per carry) with two rushing touchdowns paired with six catches for 35 yards, was 31.4 Fantasy Points. The Steelers are headed into a BYE week, so we will see how they choose to proceed with their running back room, but you would think huge performances like this earn you future work.
Kareem Hunt (Chiefs RB)
Kareem Hunt has played 44% of the snaps the last two weeks in a row and finished with 11 then 14 touches in these two games. In Week 3, Hunt scored a rushing touchdown. Weeks 1-3 Hunt and Isiah Pacheco were splitting work, but it now appears as though Hunt took a step ahead of Pacheco on the depth chart, with Hunt finishing with 14 touches to Pacheco’s nine. Pacheco has been mediocre this season, so Hunt can continue to either split the backfield or lead the backfield moving forward.
Brenton Strange (Jaguars WR)
Brenton Strange has been targeted seven times in each of his last two games, and has finished with 12.1 then 10.5 Fantasy Points. Strange caught six balls for 61 yards in Week 3, then six balls for 45 yards in Week 4. It truly feels like Strange is the most reliable pass-catcher right now for the Jaguars, with him leading the team in catches (19) and receiving yards (182). Wild to say that with Strange being over the likes of Brian Thomas Jr. and Travis Hunter in both categories.
Tyler Allgeier (Falcons RB)
In Week 2, Tyler Allgeier rushed 16 times for 76 yards and a touchdown with a reception for four yards, which was 15 Fantasy Points. Then in Week 4, Allgeier rushed 16 times for 51 yards and a touchdown, which was 11.1 Fantasy Points. There is stand-alone Fantasy value for Allgeier where the game script allows it, and beyond that, he is a rock-solid handcuff to Bijan Robinson, who has had plenty of Fantasy impacts since entering the league.
Blake Corum (Rams RB)
Blake Corum rushed five times for 44 yards (8.8 yards per carry) and a touchdown in Week 2. Then in Week 3, Corum rushed eight times for 53 yards (6.6 yards per carry). This last week, Corum rushed a season-high nine times for 21 yards and caught two passes for negative yards. 11 touches in Week 4 were encouraging, even if it came with Corum being inefficient, while he was efficient his previous two games. Knowing the Kyren Williams volume, Williams’ injury history, and seeing Corum look fairly good makes him a clear handcuff worth rostering.
Darren Waller (Dolphins TE)
As I am writing this, the Dolphins game is still going on. Tyreek Hill suffered a brutal leg injury that will end his season. Darren Waller made his Dolphins debut, straight out of retirement, and scored two touchdowns. Clear red zone threat for Tua Tagovailoa, who can see a target boost with Tyreek out. Waller has had plenty of historical Fantasy impacts.
Jaxson Dart (Giants QB)
Jaxson Dart has one NFL start under his belt, with one win against an undefeated 3-0 Chargers team. The Giants beating the Chargers was the biggest upset of the week. Dart threw 13/20 (65%) for 111 yards and a touchdown, and also rushed 10 times for 54 yards and a rushing touchdown, which was 19.8 Fantasy Points. Solid flash of dual-threat upside from the rookie. Malik Nabers, unfortunately, tore his ACL in Week 4, which is a blow to Dart, but the talent is clearly there.
Matthew Stafford (Rams QB)
Matthew Stafford finished Week 4 29/41 (70.7%) for 375 yards and three touchdowns, which resulted in 27.4 Fantasy Points. Massive upside through the air for Stafford, who looks extremely well connected to his duo of Puka Nacua and Davante Adams. Stafford threw for 298 yards in Week 2 as well and has thrown multiple touchdowns now in three straight games.
Darius Slayton (Giants WR)
Malik Nabers, unfortunately, tore his ACL in Week 4, which means Darius Slayton will have an elevated role as an outside receiver in this Giants offense. Slayton has yet to have a big game this season, but has flashed plenty of yardage upside in the past. In Week 2 Slayton caught two passes for 61 yards, which was 30.5 yards per catch. In Week 4, Slayton caught three passes for 44 yards, which was 14.7 yards per catch. The volume can increase moving forward, which can mean more big plays.
Justice Hill (Ravens RB)
In Week 3, Justice Hill caught three passes for 45 yards. Then, in Week ,4 in a blowout loss to the Chiefs, Hill rushed three times for 76 yards and a touchdown and caught five passes for 41 yards and a receiving touchdown, which was 28.7 Fantasy Points. It is hard to trust Justice Hill weekly with the presence of Derrick Henry, but the pass-catching numbers are once again popping, and this is something we saw last year periodically that led to useful Fantasy Points in those points per reception leagues.
Rico Dowdle (Panthers RB)
Rico Dowdle rushed 10 times for 30 yards and a touchdown in Week 3 with an eight-yard reception that totaled 10.8 Fantasy Points. Then in Week 4, Dowdle rushed nine times for 32 yards and caught a ball for negative yards. Dowdle earning 10+ touches in the last two games is encouraging, and while I do not expect him to create an even split, I will note that he was solid as the Dallas lead back last season for Fantasy Football, so we know he is a good handcuff for Chuba Hubbard to roster.
Michael Penix Jr. (Falcons QB)
Michael Penix Jr. opened up 2025 throwing 27/42 for 298 passing yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 21 yards and a rushing touchdown, which totaled 24 Fantasy Points. Penix had two really down weeks the next two, but had a solid day again in Week 4. Penix threw 20/26 (76.9%) for 313 yards with two passing touchdowns and an interception, which totaled 18.7 Fantasy Points. Clear ups and downs to Penix’s Fantasy scoring, but the ups can be worth rostering following the Week 5 BYE for future BYES and quarterback injuries.
Zavier Scott (Vikings RB)
With Aaron Jones on the IR, Zavier Scott has played 28% then 38% of the snaps behind Jordan Mason the last two games. In Week 3, Scott rushed eight times for 30 yards and then caught a pass for 20 receiving yards. Then in Week 4, Scott rushed twice for a yard, but his six catches on eight targets for 43 yards and a touchdown stat line is important to note. This sort of receiving work for a running back can mean stand-alone value, even as the team’s RB2 moving forward.
Christian Kirk (Texans WR)
Christian Kirk earned eight targets in his Texans debut in Week 3, then earned half of that target total in Week 4. Kirk has finished with 25 and then 20 receiving yards in the last two games, which looks like low upside. With Kirk only playing two games this season, he only trails Nico Collins and Dalton Schultz in targets. Kirk clearly has a consistent role, and with a history of Fantasy relevance, he is worth rostering should he grow more with CJ Stroud.
Jalen Tolbert (Cowboys WR)
Jalen Tolbert stepped up in Week 4 with CeeDee Lamb out of the mix, catching four of his six targets for 61 yards. Tolbert also earned six targets in Week 3, which was the game Lamb was injured. Dak Prescott has thrown 40+ times the last three weeks, and with how bad this Dallas defense is, you should expect that to continue.
