2025 Fantasy Football: Week 7 Quarterback Rankings (Weekend Update!)

Week 6 was frightening in all the right ways — packed with monstrous performances, shocking letdowns, and fantasy chaos that could wake the dead. With Halloween creeping closer, the fantasy football season is entering its spookiest stretch yet — where one bad start can come back to haunt your lineup.

Week 6 Recap: Tricks, Treats, and QB Scares

Patrick Mahomes continued his fantasy MVP-level tear, dropping 31.5 points and finishing as the QB1 for the second time in three weeks. He’s having a career fantasy season, lighting up defenses like a jack-o’-lantern on a dark October night.

Meanwhile, Drake Maye keeps producing like a seasoned vet, posting 27.2 points and cementing himself as a weekly must-start in all formats.

Jaxson Dart (QB3, 23.6 pts) is quickly becoming one of my favorite quarterbacks to watch. He and fellow rookie Cam Skattebo bring fearless energy that’s breathing life into the Giants’ offense. Jayden Daniels delivered his first top-five performance (22.6 pts), reminding everyone why his rushing and accuracy combo gives him elite weekly upside.

Jacoby Brissett filled in admirably for the injured Kyler Murray, finishing as QB7. Bryce Young (QB12) also posted solid QB1 numbers in a statement win at home over the Cowboys.

On the darker side, Justin Fields royally disappointed with just 4.9 fantasy points — a true Halloween horror (shoutout to John Kramer, a.k.a. Jigsaw). Expect a dramatic rebound as he welcomes Carolina in Week 7. Matthew Stafford underwhelmed in a smash spot, while Joe Flacco was serviceable in his Bengals debut, finishing in the middle of the pack.

Now, let’s peer into the Week 7 matchup slate and see which quarterbacks are ready to rise — and which might give fantasy managers another fright.

🔥 High-Total Games (Shootout Potential – 47+)

These matchups project the most offensive fireworks, offering elite upside for quarterbacks and pass-catchers alike.

Washington Commanders at Dallas Cowboys — 54.5 (DAL -2.5)

This matchup screams fantasy fireworks. Dak Prescott is heating up with three straight top-10 finishes, and at home in a 54-point total, he’s a strong QB1 play. Jayden Daniels is a dual-threat dynamo and remains a confident start in all formats — especially if this game turns into a track meet. Getcha popcorn ready!

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Detroit Lions — 53.0 (DET -5)

Both Baker Mayfield and Jared Goff are coming off strong outings, and this Monday night matchup should light up scoreboards. Mayfield may not have Mike Evans or Emeka Egbuka, but he continues to defy the odds and deliver monster fantasy performances anyway. Goff thrives in dome conditions, and both quarterbacks project as strong QB1 options in a potential shootout.

Indianapolis Colts at L.A. Chargers — 48.0 (LAC -1)

Since finishing as QB5 in Week 1, Justin Herbert has been painfully average — QB18, QB12, QB20, QB20, and QB14 over his last five games. He’s due for a QB1 finish in what could become a shootout. The Colts’ defense has been tough, but Herbert’s weapons and volume keep him squarely in QB1 territory. Daniel Jones (QB4 last week) stays on the Superflex radar but could regress against a fierce Chargers pass rush.

⚖️ Mid-Range Totals (Balanced – 44 to 47)

These games could swing either way depending on pace, defensive strength, and turnovers.

Atlanta Falcons at San Francisco 49ers — 47.0 (SF -3)

Assuming Brock Purdy suits up, he’s in a favorable spot against an Atlanta secondary that’s allowed chunk plays all season. Michael Penix Jr. has flashed upside, but this road matchup is risky — best left for Superflex formats only.

Las Vegas Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs — 46.0 (KC -13)

Patrick Mahomes is the QB1 on the season — let that sink in. After years of efficiency limited by game script, we’re seeing vintage Mahomes again. This week should be no different against a division rival. Geno Smith has been mid at best, but there’s sneaky upside if he’s forced into pass-heavy mode.

Green Bay Packers at Arizona Cardinals — 44.5 (GB -6.5)

Jordan Love should bounce back after a disappointing Week 6, especially if his defense sets him up with short fields. Jacoby Brissett, filling in for Kyler Murray, could again flirt with QB1/2 numbers if the Cardinals play from behind.

New Orleans Saints at Chicago Bears — 45.5 (CHI -6)

Caleb Williams faces a soft Saints secondary and has top-10 potential. He’s finished inside the top-10 in three of five regular-season games. Spencer Rattler has been quietly consistent, never falling below QB2 status. If he can hang in Chicago, he could deliver another low-end QB2 outing with quiet upside.

L.A. Rams at Jacksonville Jaguars — 45.0 (JAC -3)

Trevor Lawrence found his rhythm in Week 6 (19.2 pts) and should stay hot against a Rams defense that struggles versus mobile quarterbacks. Matthew Stafford was rolling before last week’s dud in Baltimore, posting QB4, QB2, and QB9 finishes prior to crashing to QB26. Expect a bounce-back performance on the road in Jacksonville.

🛑 Low-Total Games (Defensive Grind – 43 or Less)

Expect slower tempos, ground-heavy game plans, and limited fantasy fireworks.

New England Patriots at Tennessee Titans — 43.0 (NE -7.5)

Drake Maye continues to play like a seasoned pro and remains a safe top-10 option. Cam Ward is trending down and should stay benched outside of deep Superflex formats.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals — 42.5 (PIT -5.5)

Aaron Rodgers showed signs of life last week (QB16) but faces a Bengals defense quietly improving against the pass. Joe Flacco is a mid-tier QB2 at best — his arm strength gives Cincy’s receivers a pulse, but his ceiling remains capped in a low-total slugfest.

Philadelphia Eagles at Minnesota Vikings — 42.5 (PHI -2.5)

J.J. McCarthy is expected to return from a high ankle sprain, though that’s not guaranteed. If active, he’s a middle-of-the-road option against a tough Eagles front. On the other side, Jalen Hurts remains matchup-proof — start him without hesitation. His elite goal-line usage makes him a near-lock for top-5 production.

Carolina Panthers at New York Jets — 42.0 (NYJ -1)

Justin Fields is my favorite bounce-back candidate of the week. Expect his legs to carry him back into QB1 territory against a struggling Jets defense. Bryce Young remains a steady floor play, but his ceiling depends on red-zone efficiency.

New York Giants at Denver Broncos — 41.0 (DEN -7.5)

As much as I’m bullish on this new-look Giants offense with Jaxson Dart under center, he may come back to earth in the Mile High altitude. He should still chip in rushing production, making him a Superflex-only option. Bo Nix should rebound with a top-10 finish at home as Denver’s offense gets back on track after a rough London outing.

Miami Dolphins at Cleveland Browns — 40.5 (CLE -2.5)

Dillon Gabriel continues to start in Cleveland but is no more than a desperation deep-league Superflex play. Tua Tagovailoa should have enough passing volume to deliver low-end QB2 numbers — with upside if the Browns’ offense can keep pace.

🧛‍♂️ Monday Night Mayhem

Houston Texans at Seattle Seahawks — 41.0 (SEA -3.5)

If C.J. Stroud plays like he did before the bye week (QB1 finish), this game could outperform expectations. Sam Darnold has quietly pieced together a strong season (QB9 last week) and remains a viable Superflex play at home.
