Here we go again, your weekend Waiver Wire Stash guide is back for Week 7!
This week might look a little light, but don’t be fooled. There are some sneaky-good options out there, especially at quarterback, wide receiver, and tight end. Running back? A little sketchy, but I’ve got a couple of names that have a path to production, one I don’t really want to see, but it is there.
You know the drill: grab these guys before kickoff so you’re not fighting for them on Tuesday. Think of it as a free lottery ticket with 10 minutes of reading, zero FAAB, all upside.
So, stash smart, beat your league to the punch… and when these guys go off on Sunday, you can sit back, smile, and say, “Yeah, I saw it coming.”

Week 7 Weekend Waiver Wire
Quarterbacks
Jaxson Dart, New York Giants
This is his third week in a row being mentioned in this column. I really thought he would be rostered everywhere after last week. Dart has rushed for over 50 yards in all 3 games he has started. He also has multiple touchdowns in every game he has started. If you need help at quarterback, he is available.
Sam Darnold. Seattle Seahawks
Sam was at the top of the list for me as a quarterback add prior to Week 6. He passed for 295 yards and 2 touchdowns in Week 6. He is on a bye in Week 8 but gets a tasty match up against the Commanders in Week 9.
Other quarterbacks to consider:
- Jacoby Brissett, Arizona Cardinals – 320 yards, 19 yards rushing, 2 TDs
- Bryce Young, Carolina Panthers – 199 yards, 3 TDs
Quarterback Notes: Brissett is a nice plug-and-play against the Packers in Week 7. I like Dart and then Darnold the most out of the four players. Bryce Young produces touchdowns in easy matchups. Pay attention to him later in the season.
Running Backs
Tyler Allgeier, Atlanta Falcons
In Week 6, Allgeier had 11 touche,s which he turned into 38 total yards and a touchdown. He is maybe the best backup running back in the league right now. But he is also only a handcuff with limited standalone value.
Kendre Miller, New Orleans Saints
Miller’s snap count is holding at 38%. He appears to be good for 11 touches or so a game. He is a handcuff who will become valuable if anything happens to Alvin Kamara.
Other running backs to consider:
- Kareem Hunt, Kansas City Chiefs – 6 carries, 34 total yards, 1 reception
Running Back Notes: Hunt is the goal-line back for the Chiefs, so he has touchdown upside. That is the nice way of saying he is touchdown dependent. Mostly just handcuffs on the wire right now. These three may have the most long-term value, or they might not.
Wide Receivers
Kayshon Boutte, New England Patriots
He leads the Patriots in wide receiver snaps. In Week 6, he saw 5 targets, which he turned into 5 receptions, 93 yards, and 2 touchdowns. There is a Beware sign here. Drake Maye spreads the ball around, and it is a different guy every week. But he is out there if you are daring.
Kameron Johnson & Tez Johnson, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
No, sir, they are of no relations. Both of these guys caught touchdown passes from Baker Mayfield in Week 6. This shows you that Baker can throw the ball to anyone in this offense. They are playing the Lions in Week 7, and you can pass on the Lions. Tez led the team in wide receiver snaps in Week 6 with 38, but Kameron had more targets.
Zay Jones, Arizona Cardinals
If Marvin Harrison Jr. is out for Week 7, I am in on Zay Jones. Jones filled in admirably after Harrison left the game in Week 6. Jacoby Brissett targeted Jones 8 times, and Jones turned those into 5 receptions and 79 yards. The Cardinals will have to pass against the Packers, and this is a nice plug-and-play.
Other wide receivers to consider:
- Luke McCaffrey, Washington Commanders – 1 target, 33 receptions, TD
Wide Receiver Notes: If Deebo Samuel and Terry McLaurin are out, I put Luke McCaffrey at the top of this list. The Commanders are playing the Cowboys. I like Zay Jones a lot this week as well. The other three players are risky.
Tight Ends
Cade Otton, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Whenever the Buccaneers need someone to step up in the receiving game, Otton answers the call. In the past two games, he has seen 11 targets, which he turned into 9 receptions and 132 yards. He is at the very least a solid play at tight end entering Week 7 against the Detroit Lions.
Mason Taylor, New York Jets
Taylor is coming off a poor performance, but the matchup is great against the Panthers in Week 7. The Panthers give up the second-most fantasy points to tight ends. Also, Garrett Wilson is ruled out of this game, which means the targets will be there. His quarterback, Justin Fields, is also much better in good matchups than bad ones.
Other tight ends to consider:
- Harold Fannin Jr., Cleveland Browns – 10 targets, 7 receptions, 81 yards
Tight End Notes: Fannin is about 50% rostered across the board, but if he is available, the volume should be there; the kid is good. Otton is a super solid play for Week 7. Mason Taylor is good for the next two games if you are streaming. He gets the Bengals in Week 8.
NOTE: You may have noticed I did not say must-stashes once in the article. Well, I just blew that, didn’t I?
