Week 8 Tight End Streamers

Oronde Gadsden II, Los Angeles Chargers

Something special is brewing in L.A. Rookie tight end Oronde Gadsden II just made history — his 164-yard eruption against the Colts was the most receiving yards by an NFL tight end within his first five career games in the Super Bowl era.

The fifth-round pick out of Syracuse has quickly emerged as Justin Herbert’s go-to weapon, racking up 17 targets, 14 receptions, 232 yards, and a touchdown over the past two weeks. Gadsden’s usage keeps trending up.

Yes, much of Sunday’s production came in comeback mode, but volume is volume — and the Chargers’ passing script isn’t slowing down. At a position that is traditionally light on depth, Gadsden should be scooped up in all fantasy formats when waivers are finished.

Juwan Johnson, New Orleans Saints

After a blistering start to the season, Juwan Johnson cooled off for three straight weeks — but his Week 7 usage suggests he’s heating up again. Johnson tied for second on the team in routes (31) and targets (7), turning that into five catches for 79 yards against the Bears. That 22% target share was his highest since Week 3, a strong sign that his role is stabilizing again.

With trade rumors swirling around Chris Olave, Johnson’s target share could spike even higher. He’s already posted 218 yards and a touchdown in his last three matchups against Tampa Bay — and a potential shootout this weekend makes him a safe bet for streaming.

Week 8 Tight End Sleepers

Noah Fant, Cincinnati Bengals

The Joe Flacco effect is real. With Mike Gesicki (pectoral) sidelined and Jake Browning out of the picture, Noah Fant finally came alive in Week 7, catching four passes for 44 yards and a touchdown versus Pittsburgh.

Fant has logged at least four targets in five games this season but now gets a juicy home matchup with the Jets. As long as Gesicki remains out, Fant offers TE2 value with touchdown upside in an improving Bengals offense.

Colston Loveland, Chicago Bears

Rookie Colston Loveland hasn’t had his breakout yet — but the opportunity may have just arrived. With Cole Kmet leaving Week 7 with a back injury, Loveland saw a season-high in snaps, targets (4), and 3 catches for 24 yards.

The Bears invested heavy draft capital in Loveland (10th overall), and he could see his first full-time run in Week 8 against a Ravens defense that has struggled to cover tight ends.

Loveland has stash appeal, of course, but it’s time to see what the Bears truly have with Loveland.
