It’s been nearly a month since the 2025-26 fantasy hockey campaign started, and many star players are still struggling four weeks into the season, while others continue to exceed expectations. For fantasy managers looking to build upon a hot start or work their way out from the bottom of the standings, the following buy-low/sell-high recommendations are worth taking a chance on heading into November hockey.

Fantasy Hockey Buy Lows
Anthony Stolarz – Toronto Maple Leafs
It’s been a rough start for Anthony Stolarz in Toronto this year, despite being one of the most impressive goaltenders from last season. Through 8 games played, Stolarz has just 3 wins, is averaging 3.27 goals against per game, and is currently posting a .886 save percentage.
That said, the Maple Leafs have managed to work themselves into a top 3 spot in the Atlantic division despite Stolarz’s recent gameplay, which should hopefully improve heading into next month. Toronto has historically played well in November, and with Stolarz voicing that he’s determined to help improve his team’s production on the ice, managers should capitalize on him, especially with many already losing faith in his goaltending ability.
Lucas Raymond – Detroit Red Wings
Earlier this month, Lucas Raymond suffered an upper-body injury, which sidelined him for two games of the season. Since returning to the ice, the 23-year-old has struggled to find the back of the net, only scoring two goals in 8 games played this year. Despite proving not to be effective on the power-play just yet, Raymond is still averaging a point per game playing on Detroit’s top line with Dylan Larkin.
Managers who feel comfortable in the hitting or blocking categories should target Raymond sooner rather than later, especially those looking to improve their scoring depth. After nearly scoring 30 goals last season and recording 80 points on the year, Raymond will be soon to bounce back, and likely a player owners will not want to trade.
Fantasy Hockey Sell Highs
Karel Vejmelka – Utah Mammoth
The Utah Mammoth are surprisingly one of the best teams in the NHL right now, having won 8 out of their first 11 games and being tied for the top spot in the Western Conference. However, Utah’s fiery offence is making it easy for Karel Vejmelka to not only pick up wins but also look good in defeat. The 29-year-old has been in net for most of the Mammoth’s victories, but is averaging a 0.891 save percentage despite his team leading the Central division.
Utah could finally break through as a playoff team this season, but it’s unlikely that their strong start will continue into November, meaning Vejmelka’s numbers could see a steep decline. Fantasy managers would benefit from trading the Mammoth’s starting netminder for a player or goalie who has historically been consistent from season to season.
Mark Stone – Las Vegas Golden Knights
Mark Stone has been injured for almost two weeks, and he’s still listed in the top 20 for most points this season. The Golden Knights right winger had one of the best starts in his career before getting hurt, having tallied 13 points in just 6 games. He also managed to contribute on the power-play in almost every game he participated in, logging 8 of his 13 points on the man-advantage. Although Stone’s value has significantly decreased since being placed on long-term injured reserve, his explosive start to the season may convince managers to give up healthy talent in order to utilize the 33-year-old later in the year. For owners rostering Stone for the time being, his current rank could still be convincing enough to get managers to overpay for the Canadian star.
The fourth week of fantasy hockey is a pivotal time to buy or sell players, with there being a combination of successful managers looking for more, and disappointing teams beginning to panic. With the first quarter of the fantasy hockey season coming to an end, make sure to return next week for more advice on buy-low/sell-high options going forward.
