Diving into the Week 13 Fantasy Football QB Rankings

Enough with the pleasantries. You’re here for the definitive Week 13 Fantasy Football QB Rankings.

It’s time to dig into these studs, sneaky starts, and those dreaded disappointments. We’ll cover everything from the must-start elites to the high-risk streamers for this important matchup week. Because let’s be honest, nothing in fantasy football is more brutal than when your “safe” quarterback completely blows up your lineup—it’s the fantasy equivalent of when your uncle tried to deep-fry the turkey and nearly took out the garage. (It happens in fantasy football, and sometimes, in real life. Stay safe out there!)

So, grab a seat, loosen your belt, and let’s get down to the quarterbacks who are ready to serve up the fantasy points.

“I like football. I find it’s an exciting strategic game. It’s a great way to avoid conversation with your family at Thanksgiving.” — Craig Ferguson

🦃 Week 12 Recap: Surprise Specials, Vintage Flavors, and a Few Dishes You’d Send Back

Week 12 served up one of the strangest quarterback spreads of the season — a mix of unexpected breakout plates, throwback performances, and several dishes that were downright undercooked. As we turn the page toward your Week 13 QB rankings, the Week 12 menu gave fantasy managers plenty to chew on.

The biggest shocker? Jameis Winston, who came from absolutely nowhere to deliver the QB1 performance of the week with 32.2 fantasy points. It was a vintage, full-fat Winston outing — the kind of explosive fantasy meal he hasn’t cooked up since his Buccaneers days. No one ordered it, but somehow it arrived hot and delicious.

Right behind him, Jalen Hurts delivered a classic 30.9-point serving — a vintage output that reminded everyone why he’s still one of the most dangerous dual-threat dishes in football. His matchup counterpart, Dak Prescott, kept pace beautifully by plating 28.1 points, giving Week 12 a rare double-entrée of high-end fantasy satisfaction.

A special shoutout goes to rookie Cam Ward, who turned in the best performance of his young career with 23.9 fantasy points. It wasn’t the main course, but it was a perfectly seasoned surprise that hit the spot for anyone brave enough to start him.

But Week 12 wasn’t all savory highlights — some dishes were barely edible. Lamar Jackson cratered with just 7.2 points, finishing as the QB25 and leaving managers wondering what went wrong with the recipe. Jordan Love didn’t need to do much of anything in a matchup against a flailing J.J. McCarthy, resulting in a bland 7.1 points. And speaking of McCarthy… he delivered the rawest plate of the week: 2.5 fantasy points, finishing dead last among all qualifying quarterbacks.

Week 12 reminded us once again that the QB landscape can flip without warning — with late-season breakouts, unexpected throwback performances, and some harsh lessons heading into the fantasy stretch run.

🔥 High-Total Games (Shootout Potential — 47+)

These matchups carry real shootout juice — ideal for stacking your top-tier quarterbacks and leaning into upside.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Dallas Cowboys — O/U 52.0 (KC -3.5)

Patrick Mahomes (QB1) headlines the slate and is in another smash spot. Dallas is giving up the second-most fantasy points to quarterbacks on average over the past three weeks, and Mahomes continues to shred even elite defenses. Expect 280+ yards and multiple scores in a true shootout environment.
Dak Prescott (QB6) has been excellent at home, and despite drawing a tough Kansas City defense, he’s a rock-steady QB1 with top-five upside in this Thanksgiving track meet.

Cincinnati Bengals @ Baltimore Ravens — O/U 52.5 (BAL -7)

Lamar Jackson (QB2) gets a Bengals defense that is giving up the 10th-most fantasy points to quarterbacks on average over the past three games. Baltimore should play from ahead, but Lamar’s efficiency and rushing floor keep him locked into elite territory.
Joe Burrow (QB12) remains a volatile mid-QB1 coming off of a long layoff. The Ravens have clamped down on opposing quarterbacks at home, but Burrow’s weapons and projected pass volume keep him viable. Just expect more grind than explosion, especially with Tee Higgins (concussion) out.

Green Bay Packers @ Detroit Lions — O/U 48.5 (DET -2.5)

Jared Goff (QB13) stays in the low-end QB1 conversation thanks to Detroit’s home-field advantage. Goff has been more volatile than usual this season, but with Detroit favored and their offense cruising as of late, he’s positioned to deliver a solid performance.
Jordan Love (QB20) is a low-end QB2 with upside. While his efficiency has fluctuated wildly, Detroit’s defense has struggled against deep passing this season, giving Love a path to a usable line if the Packers fall behind early and ramp up the pass volume. Still, his floor remains shaky in a tough road spot.

Buffalo Bills @ Pittsburgh Steelers — O/U 47.5 (BUF -3.5)

Josh Allen (QB4) remains matchup-proof. Allen should have no problem delivering another top-five finish.
Aaron Rodgers (QB27), dealing with a hand issue, is not on the fantasy radar. Buffalo’s defense has quietly tightened up, and Rodgers lacks the mobility to offset the pressure.

⚖️ Mid-Range Totals (Balanced — 44 to 47)

These games can break either way — fantasy desserts or defensive casserole, depending on the script.

L.A. Rams @ Carolina Panthers — O/U 45.0 (LAR -10.5)

Matthew Stafford (QB11) continues his MVP-caliber stretch and now gets a Panthers defense that crumbles anytime it faces top-tier quarterbacks. He’s a locked-in QB1 with elite upside.
Bryce Young (QB29) had a usable fantasy output last week, but this matchup is far tougher. He’s a mid-QB3 and not startable outside of deep Superflex.

Chicago Bears @ Philadelphia Eagles — O/U 44.5 (PHI -7)

Jalen Hurts (QB3) is locked into the top tier again this week. Even against a Chicago defense that’s improved dramatically, Hurts’ red-zone rushing keeps him bulletproof. Expect another vintage performance at home.
Caleb Williams (QB14) keeps showing poise, and Philly’s secondary remains attackable. He’s a high-floor QB2 with sneaky top-10 upside if his rushing shows up.

Arizona Cardinals @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers — O/U 44.5 (TB -3)

Jacoby Brissett (QB9) continues to quietly roll. Even on the road, he draws a Buccaneers secondary that has been torched repeatedly, allowing the most fantasy points to quarterbacks on average over the past three weeks. Another strong QB1 week is firmly in play.
Baker Mayfield (QB19) sits as a mid-QB2 thanks to an ankle injury suffered last week, which should limit his rushing upside if he’s cleared to play.

Houston Texans @ Indianapolis Colts — O/U 44.0 (IND -4.5)

Daniel Jones (QB17) continues to exceed expectations and now draws a Texans defense that has bent repeatedly against mobile quarterbacks. He’s a fringe QB1/QB2 play with rushing upside.
C.J. Stroud (QB25) hasn’t been himself this year and gets a brutal road matchup against an Indy defense that has been lights-out at home. He’s not a lock to play with a concussion, but if he suits up, he’s a low-end QB2 and only appealing in Superflex.

🛑 Low-Total Games (Defensive Grind — 43 or Less)

Expect a slower pace, conservative play calling, and lower passing ceilings.

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Tennessee Titans — O/U 42.0 (JAC -6.5)

Trevor Lawrence (QB18) remains stuck in mid-QB2 territory due to inconsistency, but Tennessee’s defense has been surprisingly soft against the pass. His mobility keeps him viable but not exciting.
Cam Ward (QB24) is purely a developmental piece and continues to struggle with volume and efficiency. Despite last week’s career game, I wouldn’t trust him as anything more than a low-end QB2/high-end QB3.

New Orleans Saints @ Miami Dolphins — O/U 42.0 (MIA -6)

Tyler Shough (QB31) remains unstartable even in a decent matchup. Not enough volume, not enough weapons.
Tua Tagovailoa (QB26) continues to struggle badly, and New Orleans’ defense still limits explosive plays. He’s a bottom-tier QB2/decent QB3 this week.

Minnesota Vikings @ Seattle Seahawks — O/U 41.0 (SEA -10.5)

Sam Darnold (QB21) sits in the mid-QB2 zone. Minnesota’s defense is exploitable, but Seattle may not need to push the passing volume in a likely positive script.
J.J. McCarthy (QB30) isn’t startable here. Seattle has been stout at home, and Minnesota’s offense keeps shrinking.

Las Vegas Raiders @ L.A. Chargers — O/U 40.5 (LAC -9)

Justin Herbert (QB8) holds strong as a mid-range QB1. Vegas has been consistently beaten by efficient passers. Expect 250+ and multiple scores.
Geno Smith (QB28) finally had a decent week thanks to garbage time, but the Chargers’ defense at home is a much tougher draw. He’s a low-end Superflex play only.

Atlanta Falcons @ N.Y. Jets — O/U 39.5 (ATL -2.5)

Kirk Cousins (QB32) draws the start but sits dead last in my rankings. The Jets’ defense remains strong against pocket passers, and Atlanta’s offense offers little support, especially with Drake London (knee) out.
Tyrod Taylor (QB22) brings rushing juice but a capped ceiling. Against Atlanta’s inconsistent secondary, he’s a mid-QB2 — fine in Superflex, not in 1QB formats.

San Francisco 49ers @ Cleveland Browns — O/U 38.5 (SF -5)

Brock Purdy (QB15) drops into mid-QB2 range against a Cleveland defense that’s elite at home. He’s still efficient enough to give you a usable line, but upside is muted.
Shedeur Sanders (QB23) had an excellent debut last week, uncorking multiple 50-plus–yard throws and securing the first win of his career. With the 49ers allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks over the past three weeks, Sanders has a realistic path to delivering low-end QB2 numbers at home.

🌙 Primetime Magic — Sunday & Monday Night

Denver Broncos @ Washington Commanders — O/U 43.5 (DEN -6.5)

Bo Nix (QB7) has surged into the top 10 thanks to his rushing ability and recent passing success, keeping him dangerous every week — he’s a must-start.
Marcus Mariota (QB16) is quietly playable thanks to his legs and savvy decision-making. Washington’s defense can be beaten, making him a high-end QB2 with streaming appeal in a potential negative game script at home.

N.Y. Giants @ New England Patriots — O/U 46.5 (NE -7.5)

Drake Maye (QB5) gets a Giants defense that has been repeatedly burned on the road and is allowing the third-most fantasy points to quarterbacks on average over the past three weeks. The rookie has been incredibly consistent and carries real top-three upside this week.
Jaxson Dart (QB10) isn’t a lock to return while still dealing with a concussion, but if he plays, he draws a Patriots defense that has quietly become vulnerable through the air, allowing the ninth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks on average over the past three weeks. Even on the road, Dart profiles as a strong mid-range QB1.
