Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire: Forwards for Week 10

Patrick Kane, Detroit Red Wings

The Detroit Red Wings continue to be carried offensively by their top-6, and Patrick Kane has really popped off recently and been a part of that. The veteran has missed some time, only playing 20 games this season, but has five goals and 19 points.

Over Kane’s last eight games, he has put up multiple points three times, didn’t record a point just once, and has two goals and 10 points, three of which have come on the power play. He is on a four-game point streak, and while not only shooting, he has been blocking some shots too. Kane is on the second line with Alex DeBrincat and on the top power-play unit. The Red Wings play the Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers, and Chicago Blackhawks following their Monday game against the Vancouver Canucks.

Dylan Holloway, St. Louis Blues

The St. Louis Blues are picking up the pace a little bit, even though the team is still struggling to keep the puck out of their net. But offensively, there are more goals being scored, and Dylan Holloway is part of that. His points have been a little scattered this season, but over his past nine games, he has three goals and eight points.

The Blues’ lines are constantly changing to find something that does the best and sticks, but Holloway is currently playing on the second line with Brayden Schenn and Mathieu Joseph, as well as on the second power-play unit. With Jordan Kyrou and Jimmy Snuggerud out of action, more responsibility falls on Holloway. The Blues won’t have a tough time scoring this week against the Boston Bruins, Nashville Predators, and the Blackhawks.

Sam Bennett, Florida Panthers

The Florida Panthers are still banged up and without two of their best players, so while Sam Bennett was expected to step up from the start of the season, it’s better late than never. He is on the second line with Brad Marchand and Carter Verhaeghe, and the three have found some great chemistry.

Over the Panthers’ last 10 games, Bennett has recorded four goals and 12 points. He is also on the top power-play unit, where he has contributed two power-play points in the last two games. Bennett is shooting and hitting and will continue to do so because Aleksander Barkov is out for the season, so Bennett’s spot in the top-6 won’t change. The Panthers match up against the Utah Mammoth, Colorado Avalanche, and Dallas Stars.
