Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire: Week 12 Forward Streamers

This is a weird week of hockey in the NHL due to the three-day shutdown over Christmas. For many fantasy hockey leagues, we get four days of games, so we have to make them count with players to stream. While having a streamer play three games at this point is absolutely ideal, the likely outcome is two games.

Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire: Forwards for Week 12

Ryan Hartman, Minnesota Wild

Ryan Hartman has been on fire over the past 10 days and has really stepped up after Marco Rossi was out of the lineup and then traded. Hartman is the top line center of the Minnesota Wild once again and playing between Kirill Kaprizov and Mats Zuccarello.

Hartman has five goals and seven points in the last six games, scoring in all but one of those games. Over that span, he has also contributed three power-play points and regularly shoots, hits, blocks shots, and takes penalties. He seems like a solid all-around player when in the position to succeed, as he is currently. The Wild face the Nashville Predators and Winnipeg Jets this week.

Chandler Stephenson, Seattle Kraken

Chandler Stephenson is another middle-six centerman who has stepped into the top-line center role lately and really benefited from it. He was cold for two weeks before rattling off points in eight straight for a total of five goals and four assists.

While Stephenson didn’t shoot very much for most of the season, he has been firing pucks on net with much greater frequency, hitting more, and blocking more shots. Everything is going Stephenson’s way as he’s playing with Eeli Tolvanen, with whom he’s found chemistry, and on the top power play, where he’s recorded four points in the last seven games. The Kraken match up against the Anaheim Ducks and Philadelphia Flyers.

Elias Lindholm, Boston Bruins

The Boston Bruins remain an interesting team to follow as they’ve bounced back from a poor 2024-25 season. Elias Lindholm was doing well prior to his injury and came back with a vengeance near the end of November. It took him two games to get his footing again, but since then, the veteran center has a goal and 14 points in his last 12 games, putting up at least a point in nine of them.

Lindholm centers the top line and the top power-play unit of the Bruins, playing with players like David Pastrnak and Morgan Geekie regularly, even if lines are mixed up sometimes. Lindholm doesn’t shoot a ton, but he’s a two-way center, so he’ll block shots, hit sometimes, and has three power-play points in his last four games. The Bruins have games against the Montreal Canadiens and Buffalo Sabres this week.

As some of the hottest forwards on the waiver wire this week, you don’t want to miss out on more production. Be sure to come back tomorrow for the top defensemen to stream for the rest of the week.
