Each week, I break down every NFL matchup to determine which players are set up to thrive for Fantasy Football. I look at each player’s Fantasy scoring, opportunities, trends, and strengths, then compare them with the opposing defense’s Fantasy points and yardage allowed per game. This is the series I look forward to most each week. There will always be hits and misses, but you can be sure I’ll have strong reasoning behind what I say either way. We “Play 2 Win” here, and that’s the goal of this series: to help you win your matchup each week.

Weekly Winners for Fantasy Football – Week 6

    Brock Purdy vs. WAS

Brock Purdy has finished as a top-10 Fantasy quarterback in 4/5 games played this season, with two of those games at 28+ Fantasy Points. Purdy has thrown 13 touchdowns through five weeks, finished with 280+ passing yards twice, rushed for 29+ yards four times, scored a rushing touchdown in Week 2, and only has two interceptions on the season. Via Playerprofiler, Purdy ranks first in QBR and third in yards per attempt. High upside paired with efficiency.

Purdy faces a Commanders defense in Week 6 that allows the second-most Fantasy PPG to quarterbacks and the fourth-most passing yards per game this season. Smash matchup for the QB2 in total Fantasy Points this season. Purdy has become a weekly must-start and has a smash matchup this coming week.

    Tyler Shough vs. NYG

Tyler Shough has been trending down the last two weeks, after scoring 22+ Fantasy Points the opening three weeks of football. Shough has finished two games with three or more passing touchdowns and three games with 250+ passing yards. In Week 1, he had 410 passing yards. He scored a rushing touchdown in Week 2, and rushed for 36 yards in Week 3. Signs of upside that have translated well to Fantasy Football scoring.

Week 6 presents a bounce-back opportunity for Shough against a Giants defense allowing the ninth-most Fantasy PPG to quarterbacks. The Giants have allowed multiple passing touchdowns to three of the five quarterbacks they have faced, which is encouraging for Shough, who has two big days throwing touchdowns but cooled off big-time the last two weeks in that department.

    Jordan Love vs. DAL

Jordan Love is coming off of his best game of the season for Fantasy, of course against my Bears, with a 25.3-point outing. Love has finished weeks with 387, 312, and 367 passing yards in three of his five appearances and has also thrown two touchdowns in every game played this season. 19+ Fantasy Points in three of Love’s five games show plenty of streaming potential. Green Bay cannot depend on its run game, so competing in games is tightly tied to what happens through the air.

Love faces a Cowboys defense in Week 6 that allows the sixth-most Fantasy PPG to quarterbacks and the 12th-most passing yards per game this season. The Dallas offense typically creates a positive passing game script against their weak defense. The math adds up to another solid Love week for Fantasy Football.

    Javonte Williams vs. GB

Javonte Williams has scored 14+ Fantasy Points in 4/5 of his games played this season, with two weeks of 24+ Fantasy Points, and Week 4 at 31.3 Fantasy Points. Williams has consistently been a touchdown threat with seven touchdowns in five games played. Javonte has finished two weeks with five receptions, showing involvement in the Dallas passing game. Williams is averaging 77% of the snaps and has finished two weeks with 21+ touches so far.

Up next for Williams is a Packers defense that allows the third-most Fantasy PPG to running backs and the eighth-most rushing yards per game this season. For a guy who has been Fantasy Football consistent this season for the most part, a smash matchup is a no-brainer to make sure he is in your lineup. Especially with the ceiling games we have seen so far this season.

    Cam Skattebo vs. NO

Cam Skattebo opened 2026 with a 14.1 Fantasy Point outing on 81 rushing yards and a touchdown, and scored 13 Fantasy Points in Week 3 on 100 total scrimmage yards, but has scored under 10 Fantasy Points in the other three games. Encouraging is Skattebo finishing with 18+ touches in three of his five games played while playing above 60% of the snaps in four of them.

Skattebo has a solid opportunity to bounce back in Fantasy in Week 6 against a Saints defense that allows the most Fantasy PPG to running backs and ranks third in rushing yards allowed per game this season. As the clear lead back, with solid weekly volume, do not overlook this matchup simply because of two frustrating weeks in a row from Skattebo in Fantasy Football.

    Ashton Jeanty vs. BUF

Ashton Jeanty is coming off of his second Fantasy Football score around the 10-point range this season, but has shown us upside with scores of 32.7 (Week 1) and 18.6 (Week 4) so far this season. Jeanty rushed for 102 yards in Week 1 and has back-to-back games with 50+ receiving yards. Jeanty’s 6+ targets in four of his five games played provide some cushion to his weekly Fantasy scoring.

Jeanty has been battling ankle and foot injuries, but continues to fight through them and will be looking to bounce back for Fantasy Football in Week 6. Jeanty will face a Bills defense that allows the second-most Fantasy PPG to running backs so far this season. Blake Corum and Kyren Williams combined for 80 receiving yards against the Bills just last week, which is encouraging for Jeanty, who has been consistently involved in the passing game.

    Emanuel Wilson vs. DEN

Emanuel Wilson has scored 27 and 13.2 fantasy points in the last two weeks as the Seattle RB1. Within these two games, Wilson has finished with 24 and 22 touches, which is great volume that can provide a safer Fantasy floor for scoring. Wilson scored a rushing touchdown in both of these games and added a receiving touchdown in Week 4. If you roster Wilson, he is giving you plenty of reasons to play him.

Wilson draws a Broncos offense in Week 6 that allows the seventh-most Fantasy PPG to running backs and the fourth-most rushing yards per game this season. Smash matchup for a guy who has been getting plenty of volume and producing with those touches for Seattle. Ride the productive hand, especially in a smash matchup against the Broncos.

    Christian Watson vs. DAL

One of my biggest hits of the offseason was the Christian Watson breakout, which has been on full display. Watson has been on fire with two games over 140 receiving yards, six touchdowns scored so far, and two weeks of 32+ Fantasy Points. Only one wide receiver has scored more receiving touchdowns, and Watson is top-five in yardage right now. With the Packers struggling to move the ball on the ground comes an emphasis on Jordan Love moving the ball through the air.

Watson will face a Cowboys defense in Week 6 that allows the 10th-most Fantasy PPG to wide receivers and the 12th-most passing yards per game this season. Dallas typically creates positive game scripts through their offense, with a weaker defense, which can be highly beneficial for Watson. The ceiling is too high to ever bench Watson, and this matchup even further emphasizes that.

    Mike Evans vs. WAS

Mike Evans has been trending up the last two weeks in usage and production, with 18 targets across these two games, 76 then 113 receiving yards, and a touchdown last week. The season-high in targets, yardage, and Fantasy Points (26.3) is encouraging for a veteran who has been battling some injuries. Evans has now scored three touchdowns through five games, a department we knew he and Brock Purdy would mesh well in.

Evans has a chance to stay hot in Week 6 against a Commanders defense that allows the fifth-most Fantasy PPG to wide receivers and the fourth-most passing yards per game this season. With Evans trending up in a matchup Purdy can truly thrive in, he is a must-start for Week 6 and an easy bet to score a touchdown this week.

    Tetairoa McMillan vs. PHI

Do not let the Week 5 BYE let you forget that in Week 4, Tetairoa McMillan caught 14 of his 16 targets for 192 receiving yards and two touchdowns for a massive 45.2 Fantasy Points. This was Tet’s second game across his last three played with 10+ targets and over 100 receiving yards. Last year’s Offensive Rookie of the Year just showed us what his ceiling truly is, which is even more encouraging when we factor in Bryce Young’s rise this season.

McMillan draws an Eagles defense in Week 6 that allows the sixth-most Fantasy PPG to wide receivers and the seventh-most passing yards per game this season. Young is playing great; McMillan is getting utilized well and producing, and this is a solid matchup to stay on fire following a rested week.

    Davante Adams vs. ARI

Davante Adams scored a pair of touchdowns in Week 5, which is the second time this season he has done that. Adams finished with weeks of 39.5, 20.7, and 22.1 Fantasy Points this season through five weeks played, showing plenty of juice for a veteran receiver. Especially when seeing the two weeks of 195 and 137 yards. Even with Puka Nacua on the field commanding the most looks, there is still plenty to be confident in Adams.

Adams will face a Cardinals defense in Week 6 that allows the fourth-most Fantasy PPG to wide receivers and the eighth-most passing yards per game this season. In a great quarterback matchup for Matthew Stafford, it is very important to play the correlating pieces, especially Adams with his continued touchdown upside.

    Luther Burden III vs. ATL

Luther Burden scored 19.8 Fantasy Points in Week 3 via seven catches for 61 yards and a touchdown, but has been fairly quiet outside of that. One factor in that is the lack of Caleb Williams, along with the rushing game script from Week 1 and the weather conditions from Week 2. Burden has still managed three weeks of 61-63 receiving yards and two games with five or more catches. Also noteworthy is the usage on the ground, with Burden rushing in four games played this season and having a season-high four attempts in Week 5.

Caleb Williams could be back in Week 6, which should truly open up the passing game. Burden also draws an Atlanta defense that allows the eighth-most Fantasy PPG to wide receivers and the sixth-most passing yards per game this season. Should Caleb return, I like Burden to have another big game through the air and show us what Ben Johnson was hyping up all preseason.

    Dalton Kincaid vs. LV

Dalton Kincaid has been on a terrible stretch of games the last three weeks, with under four Fantasy Points scored in each of those games. Disappointing when he opened up the season with 18 and then 22.5 Fantasy Points the first two weeks, looking like a true breakout. Kincaid totaled 130 yards in Week 1 and then 95 yards and a touchdown in Week 2. Three or fewer targets in the last three games have not helped his cause, but Head Coach Joe Brady has acknowledged recently that he has not involved Kincaid enough. That acknowledgement, on top of the early games we saw, brings me hope for this coming week.

Kincaid will face a Raiders defense that allows the sixth-most Fantasy PPG to tight ends and the ninth-most passing yards per game this season. With the upside we have seen from Kincaid early on, in a good matchup, with his coach speaking on getting him more involved, comes a bounce-back week.

    Dallas Goedert vs. CAR

Dallas Goedert led the Eagles in both targets (nine) and receptions (six) in Week 5 with DeVonta Smith out. Goedert has dealt with injuries himself, getting banged up in Week 2 and just returning in Week 5. In Week 1, Goedert caught four balls for 77 yards and two touchdowns for 23.7 Fantasy Points. Even if Smith returns this week, Goedert’s importance to this team is very high, and he has had a historically strong connection with Jalen Hurts as a reliable target.

Goedert will face a Panthers defense in Week 6 that allows the seventh-most Fantasy PPG to tight ends and the 11th-most passing yards per game. The Panthers offense has scored over 30 points in 3/4 games played this season, which can create a positive matchup passing script. Look for Hurts to lean on his reliable outlet in this one.
