Week 6 NFL DFS: Money Makers and Heart Breakers

Don’t worry, ’cause I’m…
Tiptoeing through my lineups,
Salary cap tight,

Tiptoeing through my lineups,
Still squeezing all my stars in.
Just, just stacked a quarterback,
Brought his wide receiver—
Now I need a bargain back
To make this thing a winner.

I feel like a little Rumpelstiltskin trying to make you money in Week 6.

Welcome to Week 6 of Money Makers and Heart Breakers, where the budgets are imaginary until you check your account.

We’re hunting volume, attacking matchups, and trying to avoid paying steakhouse prices for gas-station production. Let’s find the players who can make us money—and the ones who might leave us staring at our lineups, questioning every decision we’ve ever made.

Money Makers and Heartbreakers for Week 5 NFL DFS

💰 Money Maker – A player expected to outperform his salary and ownership.

💔 Heart Breaker – A popular or appealing option who may produce below expectations.

💰 Money Makers

Now let’s shake that money maker and break some hearts as Week 6 gets underway.

Quarterbacks

Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills

In Week 6, Allen is a ceiling price and a ceiling play. The Raiders are up, and they give up the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing team quarterbacks. Drake Maye just broke this Raiders defense last week. Allen has done it both through the air and on the ground this season. He is the Konami Code. He has 7 passing touchdowns and 8 rushing touchdowns this season. Go all the way up with Josh Allen in Week 6.

  • FanDuel: $9,500
  • DraftKings: $7,500

Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams

The Rams will play the Cardinals in Week 6. The Cardinals have allowed 3 or more touchdowns in each of their past 4 games. The Cardinals give up the third-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Stafford has passed for over 300 yards in 4 straight games. Look for Stafford to deliver again in Week 6 in an easy matchup.

  • FanDuel: $7,800
  • DraftKings: $6,400

Kirk Cousins, Los Angeles Raiders

The Raiders play the Bills in Week 6. This is the highest over/under on the main slate at 53.5, so we expect a shootout. The Bills also give up the third-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. They have given up 6 passing touchdowns in the last two games. Kirk has thrown 12 touchdowns this season and will look to increase that total in Week 6. Look for him to score fantasy points like Captain Kirk scored hot alien chicks on Star Trek, easily. Kirk Out!

  • FanDuel: $6,800
  • DraftKings: $5,400

Cam Ward, Tennessee Titans

  • FanDuel: $6,400
  • DraftKings: $4,800

Tyler Shough, New Orleans Saints

  • FanDuel: $7,500
  • DraftKings: $5,600

Quarterback Notes: Cam Ward gets a Colts defense allowing the seventh-most fantasy points to quarterbacks, making him a budget tournament option. Tyler Shough gets passing volume against a Giants defense that allows the ninth-most QB points. Jalen Hurts faces a Panthers defense allowing the eighth-most QB points, and his rushing ability offers another path to a productive Week 6.

Running Backs

Ashton Jeanty, Las Vegas Raiders

Jeanty has great volume this season: 88 carries and 31 targets so far in 2026. He also has 72% of all red-zone carries, and 80% of the Raiders’ goal-line carries this season. The quality touches that lead to big fantasy days will be there. The Bills are up, and they give up the second-most fantasy points to opposing running backs. The volume and match are right. Jeanty is set for a big day in Week 6.

  • FanDuel: $7,600
  • DraftKings: $6,500

Rhamondre Stevenson, New England Patriots

The Patriots play the Jets in Week 6. The Jets give up the ninth-most fantasy points to opposing running backs. Stevenson has a good matchup. TreyVeon Henderson will miss Week 6, which means Stevenson will have less competition for touches. We have a guy who will get most of the touches in a great matchup. This is the week to play Stevenson.

  • FanDuel: $6,300
  • DraftKings: $6,000

Cam Skattebo, New York Giants

Mr. Backflip plays most of the Giants’ backfield snaps, 64% of them. He averages 18.6 opportunities per game (carries and targets combined), so the volume will be there. Now is the best part: the Giants play the Saints in Week 6, and the Saints give up the most fantasy points to opposing teams’ running backs.

  • FanDuel: $6,900
  • DraftKings: $5,800

Tony Pollard, Tennessee Titans

  • FanDuel: $5,600
  • DraftKings: $5,400

Saquan Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles

  • FanDuel: $7,900
  • DraftKings: $6,600

Kenneth Walker, Kansas City Chiefs

  • FanDuel: $8,900
  • DraftKings: $8,500

Running Back Notes: Tony Pollard’s red-zone and goal-line carries give him touchdown upside against a Colts defense that allows the sixth-most fantasy points to running backs. Saquon Barkley’s 5.06 yards per carry makes him appealing against Carolina, which allows the fifth-most RB points, provided he is healthy enough for a normal workload. Kenneth Walker III brings the strongest workload case, averaging 24.8 touches across the four-game sample while controlling 76% of Kansas City’s red-zone carries; his volume and explosiveness outweigh a less generous Chargers matchup.

Wide Receivers

Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams

Puka Nacua caught 17 of 24 targets for 138 yards and a touchdown in his second game back from injury. With 45 targets and 31 receptions across three appearances, the volume speaks for itself. Now he gets a Cardinals defense allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to wide receivers. Start him with confidence in Week 6.

  • FanDuel: $9,000
  • DraftKings: $8,100

Tetoria McMillan, Carolina Panthers

McMillan has had a massive target share through four games this season: 26.5% on 39 targets. He also has a 33% share of Panthers air yards. In Week 6, the Panthers play the Eagles. The Eagles give up the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing teams’ wide receivers. The volume will be there, and the matchup is easy; you really can’t ask for more.

  • FanDuel: $7,100
  • DraftKings: $7,300

Zay Flowers, Baltimore Ravens

Zay has been dominating the target share of Ravens passes. He has 31 targets in 4 games. That is a 23% target share. The Broncos are up in Week 6, and they give up the eighth most fantasy points to wide receivers. He will see targets no matter what in a divisional game the Ravens want to win.

  • FanDuel: $7,500
  • DraftKings: $7,100

Davante Adams. Los Angeles Rams

  • FanDuel: $7,200
  • DraftKings: $6,600

Luther Burden, Chicago Bears

  • FanDuel: $5,800
  • DraftKings: $5,400

Tre Tucker, Las Vegas Raiders

  • FanDuel: $5,800
  • DraftKings: $4,700

Wide Receiver Notes: Davante Adams combines 45 targets with a 15.7-yard average target depth and seven red-zone targets, giving him substantial upside against Arizona’s defense and making him the sixth-highest fantasy option at WR. Luther Burden III’s 35 targets, seven carries, and 10 red-zone opportunities provide multiple paths to production against Atlanta, which allows the seventh-most WR points. Tre Tucker’s 28.8% air-yard share and 15.9 air yards per target make him a big tournament option against a Buffalo defense allowing the most fantasy points to wide receivers.

Tight Ends

Isaiah Likely, New York Giants

The Giants’ passing tree has two main branches: Isaiah Likely and Malik Nabers. Likely has commanded 25 targets over the past two games—30% of the team’s targets, including 11 catches for 94 yards and two touchdowns in Week 5. Now he faces a Saints defense that allows the ninth-most fantasy points to tight ends. That volume puts him in contention to finish as Week 6’s TE1.

  • FanDuel: $5,500
  • DraftKings: $4,800

Tyler Higbee, Los Angeles Rams

Higbee has quietly delivered at least six targets, five receptions, and 62 yards in three consecutive games. Now he faces a Cardinals defense allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to tight ends. Steady volume meets a favorable matchup, making Higbee a strong Week 6 option

  • FanDuel: $5,000
  • DraftKings: $3,400

Dalton Kincaid, Buffalo Bills

  • FanDuel: $5,900
  • DraftKings: $5,100

Charlie Kolar, Los Angeles Chargers

  • FanDuel: $4,600
  • DraftKings: $2,500

Tight End Notes: Dalton Kincaid’s 11.6-yard average target depth and 17.3 yards per reception give him big-play upside against a Raiders defense allowing the sixth-most fantasy points to tight ends. Charlie Kolar caught three of four targets for 37 yards in Week 5 and now faces a Chiefs defense allowing the third-most TE points, making him a $2,500 DraftKings tournament option with a modest reception floor.

DEF

Kansas City Chiefs

The Chargers have surrendered 17 sacks and seven interceptions through five games, plus six lost fumbles, giving Kansas City multiple paths to DFS production. Los Angeles allows the most opposing D/ST fantasy points in your scoring table, making the Chiefs a strong sack-and-turnover play.

  • FanDuel: $4,600
  • DraftKings: $3,600

Pittsburg Steelers

Tampa Bay has allowed 17 sacks and thrown five interceptions through five games, with four additional turnovers on lost fumbles. That averages 3.4 sacks and 1.8 takeaways per game for opposing defenses, making the Steelers a great play in Week 6 against a team that gives up the second-most fantasy points to opposing defenses.

  • FanDuel: $4,800
  • DraftKings: $3,300

Chicago Bears

Atlanta has surrendered 10 sacks and seven interceptions through five games, allowing 2.0 sacks and 1.4 interceptions per contest. The Falcons have also allowed two defensive touchdowns, illustrating tournament upside, although touchdowns are volatile; Chicago is a salary-saving option against the fourth-best D/ST matchup.

  • FanDuel: $4,100
  • DraftKings: $2,700

💔 Heart Breakers

Quarterbacks

Drake Maye, New England Patriots

Maye has been unreal the past two games. I am super happy about that because I am a Patriots fan. To start the season, Maye had a few tough games, all against defenses that stopped the pass very well. In Week 6, the Patriots play the Jets. The Jets give up the fourth-fewest fantasy points to opposing teams’ quarterbacks. This feels like a 200-yard, 2-touchdown game.

Jalon Daniels, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Daniels is starting Week 6. The Buccaneers play the Steelers in Week 6. The Steelers give up the second-fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. I do think Daniels will get some yards on the ground because he does that. He has a floor that isn’t that low, and a low ceiling in Week 6.

Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers

Herbert has 1 passing touchdown in each game this season. He has been exceptionally consistent. Unfortunately, that is consistently mediocre at best. The Chiefs are up in Week 6, and they give up the third-fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks. Expect Herbert to remain the King of Mediocrity.

I sell you upside every week
You start me for that winning streak
Three quarters gone, one touchdown thrown
Your bench would’ve won this on its own
I am the King of Mediocrity
I am the King of Mediocrity

NOTE: You can sing this to the tune of “Cult of Personality” by Living Colour. Now that is stuck in your head.

Running Backs

Jaylen Warren, Pittsburgh Steelers

Warren dominated in Week 5. That was Week 5. In Week 6, the Steelers play the Buccaneers; the Buccaneers give up the fewest points to running backs. Look for the Steelers to pass a lot this week against the Bucs ‘ pass-funnel defense. Warren may do some damage as a receiver, but I expect the wide receivers and tight end to be better.

Derrick Henry, Baltimore Ravens

I know you think I am a sick individual just for mentioning Henry as a Heart Breaker this week. Let’s be clear: in season-long formats, you are playing him. In DFS, sit him this week. The matchup is tough. The Browns are up, and they actually defend running backs really well. I would just temper expectations.

Quinshon Judkins, Cleveland Browns

Judkins missed practice on Wednesday, so this may not even matter if he doesn’t play. As you know, the Browns will play the Ravens in Week 6. The Ravens defend the run well. They have not given up 100 yards rushing yet this season. I find it hard to believe Judkins would be the first player to do it.

 Wide Receivers

Ladd McConkey, Los Angeles Chargers

Ladd has been limited in practice and might miss this week, too. Even if he plays, putting him in any of my lineups makes me want to throw up. The Chiefs are up in Week 6, and they defend wide receivers better than anyone else in the league. The Chargers’ offense isn’t that good. Magic Mike McDaniel’s magic is apparently dark magic, and it produces less.

Emeka Egbuka, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The matchup against the Steelers defense this week is horrible. The Good news is that in Week 5, Daniels targeted Egbuka 9 times.  Over the season, you might get enough volume to make him almost playable. In DFS, this is an all-out avoid. Those 9 targets only led to 6 receptions for 38 yards in Week 5.

Drake London, Atlanta Falcons

Tua Tagovailoa will be starting for the Falcons in Week 6. The Falcons play the Bears in Week 6. The Bears defend the pass well. Tua may be able to deliver the ball to London, but I am not betting on that in DFS this week. I would temper my expectations in season long as well.

Tight Ends

Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons

Pitts delivered his best game of the season in Week 5. If you’re tempted to ride the wave, let me stop you: there is no wave. Week 6 features a Bears defense that allows the third-fewest fantasy points to tight ends. This smells like chasing last week’s points, and I can catch the stink all the way up here in Maine.

Hunter Henry, New England Patriots

Hunter Henry is the most viable option at tight end this week, but his Week 6 matchup against the New York Jets lowers expectations. New York defends tight ends well, and New England’s tendency to spread targets around adds uncertainty to his workload. Henry is a lower-priority fantasy start this week.

The Reedy Rule for Week 6

Chase the workload, not last week’s scoreboard. Targets, touches and red-zone opportunities give you reasons to start a player. Two touchdowns on a handful of touches give you a reason to ask more questions.
