Having four teams on bye is never going to be ideal. For this week, though, we essentially are trading Dalton Kincaid for Sam LaPorta as it relates to your starting lineups. Now, let’s take a look at our NFL Week 7 tight end rankings in the quest to set a winning lineup.

Tight End Notes
Tucker Kraft, Green Bay Packers
While Kraft has been healthy, or should we say in the lineup, all season, he’s yet to get going from a performance perspective. Considering he had major knee surgery about a year ago, it shouldn’t come as a surprise. It’s not necessarily for a lack of trying, as Kraft has been targeted 37 times through six games. That has led to a modest 25 receptions for 249 yards and a touchdown, but the best is still to come for Kraft this season.
In each of his last two games, Kraft has five receptions. Last week, against Dallas, Kraft was targeted eight times, but he caught just five passes for 35 yards. Kraft isn’t going to, all of a sudden, become incredibly efficient after just one week. However, everything does line up perfectly for him this week. The Detroit Lions are allowing the most fantasy points to opposing tight ends, and the matchup couldn’t be better for Kraft.
Colston Loveland, Chicago Bears
Trust it. All of it; just have trust. I know it’s hard to do so when the losses are piling up. Ignoring a gaping hole in your starting lineup, especially when it’s from someone drafted on the earlier side, isn’t easy.
In four of six games this season, Loveland has combined for just seven catches for 53 yards. To be fair, the second-year right end has played with three different quarterbacks. However, he also failed to catch a ball with either of his targets in Week 1 when Williams was healthy, and Chicago simply exploded offensively.
Williams is now healthy, and Loveland is coming off his best game of the season. Not only did he catch six of his seven targets for 65 yards, but Loveland also caught his first touchdown of 2026. That gives Loveland two straight weeks of six catches as he’s beginning to play like the tight end we thought he was. A healthy Williams will only allow that to build.
Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles
For the second straight week, Goedert caught six passes. Over the past two weeks, since returning from a knee injury, Goedert has 12 catches on 17 targets for 99 yards. At this point, behind DeVonta Smith, Goedert continues to emerge as the number two receiving option in Philadelphia.
It’s also notable now that Jalen Hurts is sidelined for the season. As a backup, Tanner McKee is more highly regarded, and perhaps better, than a lot of other options. The big thing for him, to this point, has been a lack of opportunity and experience. Now, for the rest of the season, McKee gets just that.
The offense isn’t going to be exactly the same as it was with Hurts, but there’s enough time and comfort here for McKee to be a solid performer. At the very least, the Eagles offense will be serviceable, and I wouldn’t ignore Goedert. This week, he has a solid matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. I would expect Goedert to continue being a dependable target for McKee.
