We’ve got a nice little NBA DFS slate on tap for tonight. Four games. To be honest, it’s smaller than I’d like it to be, but if we have the right player pool, it could lead to a big payday. Onward!
Playing NBA DFS can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also make your head spin. It’s our job to make sure you’re winning as much as possible! There are countless variables that can lead to a player’s individual performance, but I’ve found it’s best to focus on just a few that can lead to better predictability.
My favorite factors to track for NBA DFS targets: Matchups (Offensive/Defensive Ratings), Opportunity (expected player minutes, game pace), and Recent Form.
This is the AM VERSION of a living article that will be updated throughout the day, as news comes through the wire.
LET’S GET INTO THE SLATE!!!!

NBA DFS Targets and Preview for April 15
Bucks vs. Hawks
The Bucks are 13 games above .500, while the Hawks are 5 games above .500. These are going to be two playoff teams battling it out. The Bucks are 4th in the league in net rating, while the Hawks are 9th. The Bucks are 6th in offensive rating, while the Hawks are 8th. So where do the scales tip? The answer is defensively. The Bucks have the 8th best offense in the league, while the Hawks are 24th. At the end of the day, the Bucks can stop the Hawks, but the Hawks can’t stop the Bucks. Giannis and the boys should take this one.
DFS Targets: MIL targets: Giannis, Middleton, Holiday, and Lopez. ATL targets: Young, Capela, Bogdanovic, Huerter, and maybe Goodwin for value.
Warriors vs. Cavs
The Cavs are much more talented than their record currently indicates. Both teams are below .500, but the Warriors are actually in the playoff chase. They also have Steph Curry. A luxury that the Cavs can’t compete with. These are two underachieving teams, but the Warriors actually have a top ten defense in the league, which should undoubtedly carry them to the win against the lowly Cavs.
DFS Targets: GSW targets: Curry, Wiggins, Bazemore, and Green. CLE targets: Garland, Sexton, Hartenstein, and Osman.
Celtics vs. Lakers
The battle of the two blue bloods of the NBA. I don’t actually know what that “blue bloods” phrase means. You hear it in college basketball with the historically winningest teams in the game, so that’s how I’m going to apply it here. I WILL NOT look it up. Anyway, the Celtics are playing better and coming off a win against Portland. They’re three games above .500, and the Lakers have managed to keep winning despite Davis’ and Bron’s absence. Both teams have solid recent form, but the Lakers are the only team with the best defense in the league. Drummond should also feast in the Celtics front court, or lack thereof.
DFS Targets: LAL targets: Drummond, Dennis the Menace, Trez, THT, Kuzma, and Morris. BOS targets: Tatum, Brown, Smart, and Robert Williams.
Kings vs. Suns
Suns. This doesn’t require much of an explanation. What I thought was a four game slate, is essentially a three game game slate.
DFS Targets: I really hate to dismiss games on such a small slate, but this is a clear scenario where a blowout is likely. I don’t want to bet my hard-earned money on players that may only play three quarters. I would fade this game, but if you must play it, stick with Booker, CP3, Ayton, Fox, and Haliburton.
Don’t forget to check back later in the day as Bradlee will be updating his NBA DFS preview with all the info you need to turn tonight’s slate into a resounding success!
