Welcome to the Week 6 Fantasy Football FAAB Guide. Every week I provide you with detailed coverage of all the NFL players you might be targeting. Most importantly, I guide you on how much to spend on each player for your fantasy football squad. You will find obvious player opinions like D.K. Metcalf is too sexy for his own good, but I will also give you useful, less-heralded takes like Geno Smith has the offensive support around him to be a top-14 fantasy QB. If you need Waiver Wire adds only, check out my Fantrax pal Colin McTamany’s article here.

Week 6 Fantasy Football FAAB Guide
Coming soon… Week 6 Rankings: QB | RB | WR | TE | PPR | Flex
$1,000 is a common budget size for season-long leagues and that is the template for my FAAB bid percentages. The Week 6 Fantasy Football FAAB Guide attempts to cover all styles of fantasy scoring, but I write this article from a redraft and PPR point of view. All roster percentages for this week come from Fantrax and ESPN fantasy football leagues.
WEEK 6 BYES: ATL, NYJ, SF, NO

Mac Jones | 66% | 14% | 1-3% | DAL |
Reference Points
- If this is your first time here, let me peel back the curtain for you. I have had Teddy Bridgewater on the QB list all season. Outside of his concussion exit against the Ravens in Week 4, he is providing solid returns. You can’t do much better if you have QB on a bye this week.

- Geno Smith might be the bargain of the week. Heading to Pittsburgh sounds daunting, but Smith has players he can get the ball to for playmaking purposes. Seattle’s defense is bogus, but their offense can get the job done. If you need to fill a hole this week, take a chance.
- The return of Tua Tagovailoa might happen in Week 6. Miami is a mess with two offensive coordinators running the offense, but Jacksonville is actually a bigger mess with Urban Meyer’s bozo dance party fiesta causing chaos everywhere he goes. Monitor this situation.

Tarik Cohen | 36% | 4% | 1-3% | GB |
Reference Points
- Saquon Barkley will be out for Week 6 with an ankle injury. That means Devontae Booker is in line for the RB load against the Rams. His 88% snap percentage after Barkley got hurt makes it clear he has the rock. The Rams have given up 3 rushing and 1 receiving TD to RB so far.

- More injuries creating opportunities as CEH is out for a while with a knee injury. Darrel Williams gets the first taste and is likely already on someone else’s bench since he’s been more involved anyways. The wild card is Jerick McKinnon. He will be cheaper and could usurp Darrel.
- Khalil Herbert was cheaper than Damien Williams last week but Herbert out-snapped him 34 to 31. I went Herbert over Williams in my leagues because he was cheaper and so should you. HOWEVER, beware of the lingering Tarik Cohen. He comes off the PUP soon.
- In Houston, David Johnson is getting the most snaps at RB over the last three weeks. In PPR he is worth grabbing after Houston’s offense actually showed signs of life with Davis Mills at the helm against New England. Plus Tyrod Taylor will be back in the next week or two.

Reference Points
- There is an exciting WR option in New York! Kadarius Toney is definitely worth your FAAB bucks. It doesn’t matter who gets healthy. Toney’s YAC ability is first-rate. He had 10 catches for 189 yards versus Dallas but was also ejected for punching. Don’t worry about that.

- What do I need to do to make you believe in Tim Patrick? The dude can play, he’s in his prime, and Teddy Two Gloves will get him the ball.
- Preseason chatter had Amon-Ra St. Brown as an underrated value play on a terrible Lions team. Now, in Week 6, the Lions are still terrible and St. Brown is getting the targets. 8 targets each the last two weeks. The Lions will throw plenty. Amon-Ra is viable in 14-team and deeper.
- The Eagles love Quez Watkins. Jalen Hurts doesn’t always get him the ball consistently enough, but they believe Watkins is a playmaker.
- The Texans are garbo. They know it. However, Danny Amendola will be back at WR for them possibly this week. PPR-specific play only here.
- DeAndre Carter came onto the scene Sunday against the Saints. He logged 70% of the snaps with Dyami Brown injured. 8 targets is legit.
- The Jaguars are in a tailspin losing 20 straight games. D.J. Chark was lost for the year last week. The logical assumption was Laviska Shenault Jr. would be the heir apparent. Nope! That’s fantasy football. Jamal Agnew and Tavon Austin combined for 13 targets. Try to avoid them.

- In New England, Hunter Henry is the man at TE now. Jonnu Smith has been a bust while Henry had a TD on 6 grabs for 75 yards. Bid big!

- Logan Thomas is on IR for a bit which means former Texas A&M star Ricky Seals-Jones has control of the board. This dude can ball. He is an excellent athlete who has shown flashes in brief moments during his career. I say you go get this fella and start him with confidence.
- Zach Ertz is on the field for no less than 50% of the snaps each week this season. Dallas Goedert has an illness so be ready to pounce on Ertz.
- Panther’s rookie Tommy Tremble was mentioned here a few weeks ago after Carolina beat Houston. He scored his first TD last week. He is on the rise, has the talent and the only question is can Sam Darnold get him the ball enough?
The Leftovers
- Week 5 still leaves us with more questions to ponder. How will the Lions lose in heartbreaking fashion next? Will the Raiders season go the way of the Dodo bird now that Jon Gruden has resigned? Are the Ravens a pass-first offense now joining the ranks of the NFL’s elite offenses? The mysteries of this season will continue to baffle us. All you can do is trust in your process while sampling the advice of others like me.
- These players are all fringe producers who are worth mentioning but are not worth going into too much detail about. Chris Evans is a rookie out of Michigan who has excellent quickness and with Samaje Perine on the Covid List and Joe Mixon limited, Evans stands to gain a lot this Sunday against a defense left to rot by former awful head coach Matt Patricia. Carson Wentz threw for over 400 yards against Baltimore. He can be of service to those of you on a QB bye this week. The Giants are hurting and that means it’s a great time to pick up their kryptonite in WR DeSean Jackson so he can pass Lance Alworth for most receiving touchdowns of 75 yards or more. Chargers QB Justin Herbert likes using Donald Parham Jr. as a red-zone target. If something were to happen to Jared Cook, Parham’s value will skyrocket. As it stands he scores TD’s even when Cook is playing. Cook has 224 snaps to Parham’s 185 through five weeks.
