Week 6 DFS Picks for DraftKings & FanDuel

Glad to see you all came back for another week of DFS picks for Week 6. Week 6 does mark the first week of byes so, no Cordarrelle Patterson, Alvin Kamara, or Deebo Samuel for picks this week.

But, as always I have the most valuable picks for either platform you play from. I was surprised at the salaries for this week. I was able to fit Jonathan Taylor, Stefon Diggs, and D’Andre Swift on one of my teams.

Just as a reminder, DraftKings has a salary base of $50,000, and FanDuel has a base of $60,000. Now, let’s get into it.

Yeah, we know football is in full swing. That doesn’t mean you can’t jump into fantasy hoops? From joining a public league with our Fantasy Basketball Commissioner to trying one of our Classic Draft Contests, there are plenty of ways to play Fantasy Basketball on Fantrax!

Week 6 DFS Picks

Quarterbacks

Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams (DK $6,700 FD $7,900)

The whole idea in DFS is to pick the most consistent team based on salaries. Matthew Stafford has been one of the most underrated quarterbacks in DFS this season. This week he has a mid-tier salary and is playing the New York Giants. The Giants are currently the ninth-worst defense against fantasy quarterbacks this year. Last week the Giants gave up three touchdowns and 302 passing yards to Dak Prescott. This is an easy start for DFS this week.

Taylor Heinicke, Washington Football Team (DK $5,800 FD $7,300)

As surprising as it sounds, the Kansas City Chiefs are the worst fantasy defense against quarterbacks this season. Taylor Heinicke has been nothing but perfect all season, except for last week. But, since he took over he has not scored under 20 fantasy points until last week. Which was a fluke for the pass-heavy Washington Football Team. I expect this game to be a shootout and Heinicke and Terry McLaurin will have a huge game this week.

Other Value Pick: Carson Wentz, Indianapolis Colts (DK $5,400 FD $6,700)

Running Backs

Najee Harris, Pittsburgh Steelers (DK $7,400 FD $8,500)

Najee Harris is showing why the Steelers made the right choice in taking him in the first round. He still put up over 20 fantasy points last week after missing the entire fourth quarter. The Steelers are playing the Seahawks this week. The Seahawks are giving up over 24 fantasy points to running backs this season. The Steelers will be without wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster for the rest of the season, leaving more targets in the passing game to Harris. Harris is set to have a huge game against the Seahawks’ defense.

Leonard Fournette, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (DK $5,900 FD $6,600)

It is safe to say Fournette is the lead back for the Buccaneers. But, DFS platforms have his salary low because Ronald Jones II is there. But, Fournette has had double-digit carry attempts in the last two games and has been targeted at least five times in those games. Fournette is getting all the red zone looks as well. Last week Jones could not get it done in the red zone, and Fournette came in to snag the touchdown. Last week Jones only had five carries and the week before six carries. Fournette has a great salary this week against the Eagles.

D’Andre Swift, Detroit Lions (DK $6,300 FD $7,100)

The Lions have a solid matchup for D’Andre Swift against the Bengals this week. Even though Swift has been slightly inconsistent this season, having yet to put together back-to-back big fantasy games. But, that fluke is going to come to an end this week against the Bengals. Swift is valued a little low this week and can be plugged in at the flex option. Where he can get you around 15 fantasy points this week from the flex.

Other Value Pick: Zack Moss, Buffalo Bills (DK $5,500 FD $6,200)

Wide Receivers

Stefon Diggs, Buffalo Bills (DK $7,400 FD $7,600)

Stefon Diggs has the matchup of the week against the Tennessee Titans who are the worst fantasy defense against wide receivers. Diggs has yet to pop off this season as he only has one touchdown on the season. But, out of all the top receivers and salaries, Diggs has the best matchup to drop 20 plus fantasy points. Diggs has had double-digit targets in every game this season except for two games. The touchdowns will come, and that will be this week.

Diontae Johnson, Pittsburgh Steelers (DK $6,700 FD $7,400)

Even before Smith-Schuster went down with his shoulder injury, Diontae Johnson has been the most consistent wide receiver for the team. Johnson has had double-digit targets in every game this season except for one. This week he will go against the Seahawks, who give up the eighth-most fantasy points to wide receivers this season. Chase Claypool will be there for the deep routes, but it is Johnson who will rack up all the catch and run passes.

Michael Pittman Jr., Indianapolis Colts (DK $5,500 FD $5,800)

Michael Pittman Jr. is coming off his breakout game of the season, but that is because he finally came down with his first touchdown of the season. Pittman has been Wentz’s favorite target this season averaging 8.6 targets a game. Pittman has had six or more catches in his last four games. I expect him to go off against the Texans, as Wentz is starting to look more and more comfortable in the Colts’ offense.

Other Value Pick: Courtland Sutton, Denver Broncos (DK $6,200 FD $6,600)

Tight Ends

Tyler Higbee, Los Angeles Rams (DK $4,400 FD $5,500)

Tyler Higbee has underperformed a little this season. But, now Stafford is starting to spread the ball around that much more. Higbee has a great matchup against the Giants who are giving up the seventh-most fantasy points to tight ends this season. Higbee should be solid for 10 plus fantasy points this week. And with his salary this is perfect, so you can use up the rest of the money on a high-end flex option.

Other Value Pick: Dawson Knox, Buffalo Bills (DK $4,800 FD $6,700)

Defense

Denver Broncos (DK $3,900 FD $4,400)

The Broncos will host the Las Vegas Raiders this week. The Raiders haven’t looked themselves in the past two weeks against the Chargers and Bears. This week will be a tough matchup for the offense as will be with a new head coach this week. Also with this being a divisional game and the Broncos are at home, I expect them to hold the Raiders under 14 points this week.

Other Value Pick: Miami Dolphins (DK $3,300 FD $4,200)
