G5 Waiver Wire

Quarterbacks

Samari Collier, Coastal Carolina

Fantrax Rostership: 2%
Total Fantasy Points: 89.4
Fantasy Points Per Game: 14.9

Samari Collier is an interesting G5 Waiver Wire name this week because over the last three weeks, he has averaged only eight pass completions. However, he likes to use his legs. For example, Collier is averaging 16 attempts for 78 yards and 1.6 touchdowns on the ground. As a result, Collier is averaging 29.75 fantasy points per game over that three-game stretch. Coastal Carolina has Georgia State up next this week. Georgia State is allowing 33.32 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks, which is the sixth worst in the nation. As a result, I like Samari Collier as a plug-and-play G5 Waiver Wire name this week.

Cale Hellums, Army

Fantrax Rostership: 16%
Total Fantasy Points: 159.3
Fantasy Points Per Game: 19.9

Cale Hellums is a G5 Waiver Wire name to keep tabs on. Cale has gotten 25+ fantasy points in four straight weeks while averaging only 3.75 pass completions per game. Hellums’ 18.5 rush attempts per game lead the nation; however, over his last four games, he is rushing EVEN MORE. As a matter of fact, Cale is averaging 26.5 rushing attempts over his last four games. Another key point, Cale is tied for first in the nation with ten rushing touchdowns from the quarterback position. Army will face off with Temple in Week 11. Temple is allowing 25.08 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks, but as can be seen, Cale Hellums is more like a running back. Temple is allowing 24.92 fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. Thus, I look for Hellums to have another 25+ point fantasy week in Week 11.

Running Backs

Evan Dickens, Liberty

Fantrax Rostership: 12%
Total Fantasy Points: 123
Fantasy Points Per Game: 17.6

Evan Dickens was averaging 16.71 fantasy points per game before a production lull. However, it seems whatever Evan was dealing with is behind him. For example, Evan has had fantasy outputs of 17 and 45.7 fantasy points over the Flames’ last two games. Last week, Evan exploded, as he ran for 217 yards and four touchdowns on 22 attempts. Liberty squares off with Missouri State in Week 11. Missouri State is allowing 28.05 points per game to opposing running backs. Given Evan Dickens’ recent work, I believe he is a G5 Waiver Wire name that can be picked up and started this week.

Steve Chavez-Soto, San Jose State

Fantrax Rostership: 9%
Total Fantasy Points: 63.8
Fantasy Points Per Game: 16

Steve Chavez-Soto is another G5 Waiver Wire name to know. Steve is a true Freshman who is demanding eleven opportunities per game. As a result, he has scored 19+ fantasy points in three of his last four games. San Jose State plays Air Force in Week 11. Air Force is allowing 31.04 fantasy points per game to the running back position, which is the tenth worst in the nation. Given that Steve Chavez-Soto is leading the team in rush attempts per game with 11.75, I look for Chavez-Soto to have a great fantasy outing in Week 11 against Air Force.

Wide Receivers

Shelton Sampson, Louisiana

Fantrax Rostership: 13%
Total Fantasy Points: 73.2
Fantasy Points Per Game: 12.2

Since coming back from injury, Shelton Sampson has seen eight and seven targets, respectively. As a result, Shelton has turned those opportunities into 50.2 fantasy points! The Ragin’ Cajuns Week 11 opponent, Texas State, is allowing 35.49 fantasy points to opposing wideouts. While Texas State allows most of its points to the slot wide receiver (0.338 points per snap), Shelton Sampson is unquestionably a large part of this Louisiana offense. In fact, Sampson’s 6.5 targets and 60.33 yards per game lead the team. At any rate, Shelton Sampson is a G5 Waiver Wire name to know heading into Week 11.

Kyre Duplessis, Delaware

Fantrax Rostership: 23%
Total Fantasy Points: 136.2
Fantasy Points Per Game: 17

Another G5 Waiver Wire name to note ahead of Week 11 is Delaware wide receiver, Kyre Duplessis. Duplessis has been very productive over his last five games. For instance, Kyre has seen 42 targets and amassed 80.2 fantasy points. Those 80.2 fantasy points equate to a 16.04 points per game average. Furthermore, Duplessis leads the team in the following: targets per game (8.38), receptions per game (5.38), yards per game (74.38), air yard % (26.1), red zone targets (5), and receiving touchdowns (4). The Fightin’ Blue Hens’ Week 11 opponent, Louisiana Tech, is the 20th worst in the nation in allowing points to the wide receiver position (42.90 points). Kyre Duplessis’ recent play, coupled with their Week 11 opponent, makes Duplessis a G5 Waiver Wire add this week.

Tight Ends

Hunter Tipton, Middle Tennessee

Fantrax Rostership: 5%
Total Fantasy Points: 70.1
Fantasy Points Per Game: 8.8

Hunter Tipton has achieved double-digit fantasy outputs in three straight games. In fact, his three games have resulted in 41.6 fantasy points. Tipton is averaging five fantasy points per game on the outside and 3.3 points per game from the slot. Week 11 bodes well for Tipton as Middle Tennessee’s opponent is Florida International. The Panthers allow more fantasy points per snap to the outside than in the slot. As a result, I like Hunter Tipton as my G5 Waiver Wire tight end for Week 11.
