Here we outline Fantasy EPL Waiver Wire Targets that have 30% ownership or below on Fantrax. These players will also have a favorable run of fixtures upcoming, so they could perform very well over the upcoming period! Gameweek 34 Waiver Wire Targets
Eric Bailly
Position: Defender
Team: Manchester United
Ownership: 7%
Average Points per Match: 4.56
Next 5 Fixtures: avl (A), SOU (H), cpl (A), WHU (H), lei (A)
Prospects: Bailly replaced Lindelof at half time due to injury, and could see a run in the XI. Bailly did give away a quick penalty to Bournemouth, but is United’s only fit CB to replace Lindelof. United have very friendly fixtures to see out the season against teams that tend not to score very many goals. This could give Bailly DEF2 value, and added upside from set pieces against teams that struggle to defend them. United had a rare poor defensive showing and could see at least three more clean sheets to end out the season. I would use a mid tier waiver wire claim on Bailly ahead of gameweek 34.
Kurt Zouma
Position: Defender
Team: Chelsea
Ownership: 27%
Average Points per Match: 6.25
Next 5 Fixtures: cry (A), shu (A), NOR (H), liv (A), WOL (H)
Prospects: Zouma came away with 16.75 points and a clean sheet in the victory vs. Watford. Chelsea have three friendly fixtures coming up, and Zouma should retain his spot after today. Going up against Benteke and McBurnie will give Zouma plenty of chances for aerials. I would consider Zouma a high end DEF2 if he starts the next few games, with the potential for a few 15+ scores. Chelsea have struggled at the back this year vs. some lower table opposition, but this was a step in the right direction. Ahead of gameweek 34 I would use a top tier waiver wire claim on Zouma if you are in need of a defender with a good matchup.
Nathaniel Chalobah
Position: Midfielder
Team: Watford
Ownership: 1%
Average Points per Match: 3.1
Next 5 Fixtures: NOR (H), NEW (H), whu (A), MCI (H), ars (A)
Prospects: Chalobah scored 10.5 points in the loss to Chelsea, and was on the majority of set pieces. Watford face some leaky defences to end the season, giving Chalobah a chance for a big score. Coming up against Norwich, if Chalobah is in the XI I would expect him to rack up key pieces from set plays. Norwich struggle to defend corners, increasing the midfielder’s value for next week, especially with Deeney and Dawson in his team. Chalobah has a somewhat decent floor of 5-6 points when he starts, and offers MID5 value with the upside of a MID3 over the next few weeks. If you are shallow in midfield or looking for a punt, I would use a mid tier waiver wire claim on the midfielder.
Gameweek 34 Trade-In Target
Raul Jimenez
Position: Forward
Team: Wolves
Average Points per Match: 12.98
Next 5 Fixtures: shu (A), EVE (H), bur (A), CPL (H), che (A)
Prospects: Jimenez has scored poorly in his last three games with scores of; 10 (with a goal), 5, and 7.5 points. Now is the perfect time to make an offer for the Wolves striker. If Wolves want to make one last push for Champions League, they will need Jimenez to find his shooting boots again and fast. Wolves have a pretty decent schedule to end the season, where Jimenez could easily get returns in each game. I would value Jimenez as a low end FWD1 to end the season. I would look to give up some combination of a FWD2 + MID4/DEF3 to get in the Wolves striker. Try to package players such as: King, Deeney, Pepe, Trossard, Almiron, Gomez, and Taylor to get back Jimenez.
