Gameweek 37 Waiver Wire Targets
Adam Webster
Position: Defender
Team: Brighton
Ownership: 22%
Average Points per Match: 6.42
Next 2 Fixtures: NEW (H), bur (A)
Prospects: Brighton finishes off the season with two winnable games, against teams that don’t usually score more than 1-2 a game. Webster has the chance at two clean sheets to end the season. With a clean sheet, Webster could reach close to 20 points giving him high-end DEF2 upside. Most recently he scored 6.75 points in a 1-1 draw vs. Southampton. I would use a top-end waiver claim on the Brighton center back, and use him for the final two games of the season. Ahead of Gameweek 37, Webster could help you secure your league title.
Junior Stanislas
Position: Midfielder
Team: Bournemouth
Ownership: 21%
Average Points per Match: 5.77
Next 2 Fixtures: SOU (H), eve (A)
Prospects: Stanislas has scored double digits in three out of his last four appearances. Bournemouth has two must-win games to end the season against teams with nothing to play for. Eddie Howe will be relying on Stanislas and his creativity to help win those games, meaning he could see some big scores to finish the season. It is possible Stanislas will take over set-piece duty from Brooks based on his effectiveness from it, increasing his value even more. There are very few low ownership players who can produce a score as Stanislas can. I would consider Stanislas a must add ahead of Gameweek 37. He has the potential to put up MID2 numbers and is showing he has a steady floor due to his willingness to get forward and shoot.
Takumi Minamino
Position: Forward
Team: Liverpool
Ownership: 10%
Average Points per Match: 0.81
Next 2 Fixtures: CHE (H), new (A)
Prospects: Klopp will rotate his XI for the final two games of the season, and Minamino could see consecutive starts. While Minamino hasn’t exactly scored well in his starts, he has started to look better and could be set for his first EPL goal. While this is more of a left field punt, it is one that could win you your matchup. Chelsea faces the in-form Manchester United in the FA Cup semis, and will surely be fatigued when they come up against Liverpool. Chelsea has also looked extremely shaky at the back, with Kepa the main culprit. If Minamino starts either of the next two fixtures he can be considered a FWD3 with FWD2 upside.
Gameweek 37 Trade-In Target
Jack Grealish
Position: Midfielder
Team: Aston Villa
Average Points per Match: 11.90
Next 2 Fixtures: ARS (H), whu (A)
Prospects: Grealish hasn’t produced the best numbers since the restart, but Aston Villa as a whole have improved. While avoiding relegation is out of their hands, Grealish will surely do everything in his power to help Villa stay up. Aston Villa have two winnable games coming up against inconsistent defences. Based on the recent performances of Jack Grealish you could probably get him for MID2 value. Very few teams will have something to play for the final day, but Aston Villa will be hoping to have one last shot at staying in the EPL. I would look to trade a MID3 + DEF2/FWD3 to get back Grealish. Try to package players such as: Barnes, Jota, Tielemans, Mendy, Justin, and King to get in the Aston Villa captain.
