Week 10 of the NFL season concludes with a fantastic Monday Night matchup for DraftKings Showdown and NFL fans alike. The Philadelphia Eagles will take on the Green Bay Packers at legendary Lambeau Field.
And it will be a cold one, with a temperature of 27 degrees at kick-off. The Eagles will enter this game as a 2.5-point underdog, and the game total is 45.5 points, which is about average. I have a slight lean to the Eagles tonight for fantasy football purposes. As their volume is more highly concentrated, and we do not know how Green Bay’s offense will look minus Tucker Kraft. So, let’s dive into four DraftKings Showdown slate plays for this great Monday night matchup.

Week 10 Monday Night Football DraftKings Plays
Captain Pick: Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles (16.5K)
Look, I will dive into the reasoning behind him as a DraftKings captain pick, but Jalen Hurts is scoring a touchdown tonight. With all of the commotion in the offseason, the Packers made a big deal about it. Regardless of one’s opinion on the play, it will be seen in some shape or form tonight. Now, onto the actual statistics, Hurts has always been a great fantasy quarterback. And he’s been doing it the past two weeks without the push.
Hurts has thrown seven touchdowns in the past two games. And that will likely take away the Packers’ ability to play man coverage. Hurts is second among starters in estimated points added against man coverage. Interestingly, the leader is his opponent, Jordan Love. So game plans will have to be changed, but Hurts has been scorching hot, and I predict he will use his legs more in the cold weather. And that is something you want from a quarterback in the captain spot. Hurts will lead a resurgent Eagles’ offense into Lambeau and have a great chance to be the top DraftKings scorer of the night.
Flex Play: Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles (10.8K)
Listen, I want as much of this Eagles offense as I can get on DraftKings tonight. And a negative correlation with the other Eagles will make the lineup more unique. The Packers are allowing the second-most rushing yards, but I do not believe that matters. The only thing that matters is Saquon Barkley’s health. We all just saw Rico Dowdle run over this Packers run defense for 130 yards and two touchdowns. Saquon Barkley is getting hot, coming off an outstanding performance of his own against his former team. Fade the statistics for this matchup and enjoy one of the game’s best scoring fantasy points for your lineup.
Flex play: DeVonta Smith, Philadelphia Eagles (9K)
When teams play a majority of zone, Smith is the Philadelphia receiver you want to stack with Hurts on DraftKings. Smith is currently averaging 2.21 yards per route run against zone coverage, according to PFF. That is good for 13th best in the league with a minimum of 20 targets. He will line up across from Javon Bullard. Bullard has allowed the most yards after the catch on the team, with 148. Smith is 16th in the league in yards after the catch with 179 yards. The ideal matchup is there for Smith with the Eagles currently being underdogs for the second time this season.
Flex Play: Christian Watson, Green Bay Packers (6.2K)
This matchup is very beneficial for Watson. The Eagles allow the third-highest average depth of target to opposing players. And even with a limited sample size, Christian Watson paces Green Bay’s receivers by a sizeable margin. Watson’s average depth of target is currently 23.13 yards, with Jayden Reed coming in at second with a depth of 13.62 yards per target. Add in that Romeo Doubs will be seeing Quinyon Mitchell most of the night, and Watson’s matchup is even better. He will likely see one of Adoree’ Jackson or Kelee Ringo unless Jakorian Bennett is healthy and gets the start. No matter which of the three starts. It will be a good matchup for the Packers’ WR2 in primetime, and a big play could potentially break the slate at his salary on DraftKings.
Defenses and Kickers
Both defenses are in play, with potential for turnovers and a slow pace of play. This game has a decent chance of being a low-scoring, slow-paced game. I do not believe we will see that, but regardless, I favor the Eagles’ defense over the Packers. I won’t go as far as to call a defensive score like I did last week, but both could be viable.
The weather could potentially be a concern for kickers. However, with the new kicking balls, my fears of that have decreased significantly. Kickers are still fine for their salary, as Jake Elliot is $5K and Brandon McManus is $4.8K on DraftKings. If they start creeping towards $6k, I will advise against it, but for now, they are safe.
Final Thoughts
You may have noticed that I chose to highlight many Eagles. That is because the loss of Tucker Kraft will loom large. He is one of the best at the position and has made so many things work for this offense. Jayden Reed will soon return to provide a boost, but the team will still feel the loss for the rest of their season. I am skeptical about the Packers until I see everything click without Kraft. However, if you feel more confident in the Packers, it would make a ton of sense. The Eagles will be more popular in lineups tomorrow. Getting different is never a bad thing on these DraftKings Showdown slates. And best of luck with your DraftKings lineups for what should be a great game.
