The tight end position is the hardest to attack in Fantasy Football. Trey McBride averaged a massive 18.6 Fantasy points per game (PPG) in 2025. Brock Bowers, George Kittle, and Tucker Kraft all averaged 14.7 Fantasy PPG, with no other tight end hitting 13 PPG outside of them. George Kittle, Trey McBride, and Brock Bowers all averaged 15 and change Fantasy PPG the year prior. Outside of those three, David Njoku (13.5) and Jonnu Smith (13.1) hit the 13 PPG range, and no one else. To create a perspective of what I am getting at, 20 wide receivers in 2025 averaged at least 13 Fantasy PPG, and 32 did in 2024.
What!? Your fantasy football league wasn’t hosted on Fantrax this past season!? Once you see how Fantrax stacks up to the competition, we think you’ll be singing a different tune next season.
Unless you have an obvious elite tight end in Fantasy Football, figuring out who exactly to roster can be extremely difficult. The upside for tight ends is far less than for other positions, but if you roster the right tight end, it can create an advantage in your league. With so few tight ends averaging useful Fantasy Points each season, rostering one that does produce can separate you from your league mates. That is where I come in.
Below are four tight ends that you should consider investing in now in Dynasty Fantasy Football formats. These tight ends could have a breakout season in 2026, have injury discounts, or simply feel undervalued. Let’s get it
4 Tight Ends to Target in Dynasty Football Leagues
1. Tyler Warren (Colts)
The Colts selected Tyler Warren with the 14th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Warren posted 104 receptions, 1,451 total scrimmage yards, and 12 total touchdowns in his final season at Penn State. The Daniel Jones to Tyler Warren connection was great in Weeks 1-13 prior to Jones suffering a major injury in Week 14. During this span, Warren ranked fourth (tied) in targets with 78, fifth in receptions with 58, third in receiving yards with 684, fourth in total Fantasy Points, and seventh in Fantasy PPG at 13.1.
In Weeks 14-18, without Jones and with the likes of Phillip Rivers (off the couch) and Riley Leonard, Warren dipped all the way to TE21 in total Fantasy Points. This created some frustration for Fantasy managers. We saw enough through the combination of Penn State and the opening 13 weeks with the Colts to know that Warren is a do-it-all tight end stud for Fantasy Football. Capitalize on the collapse in production due to Warren’s situation, and invest in a guy who is a top-five tight end in Dynasty Football.
2. Tucker Kraft (Packers)
The Green Bay Packers selected tight end Luke Musgrave in the second-round of the NFL Draft, then selected Tucker Kraft in the third-round. Kraft caught 31 balls for 355 yards and two touchdowns as a rookie, then took a big sophomore leap in 2024 with 50 receptions for 707 yards and seven touchdowns as the new starter. In 2025, we were seeing a breakout through eight weeks (seven games) before a Week 9 ACL tear. Kraft finished four weeks with over 55 receiving yards, with massive 124 (Week 2) and 143 (Week 8) yard days during that stretch. Kraft scored six touchdowns in these seven full games, with weeks of 24.4 (Week 2), 16.8 (Week 7), and 33.3 (Week 8) Fantasy Points.
Injuries create discounts in Fantasy Football for a variety of reasons that stem from questions. Will this guy be the same? Could this guy lose a step? When will they be 100% healthy next season? Weeks 1-8 Kraft tied Trey McBride for a league-leading 16.2 Fantasy PPG, ranked top three in receiving yards, and led tight ends in yards per catch (15.6) who caught at least 12 balls. The likes of Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, and Matthew Golden will play specific roles in this offense at wide receiver moving forward, but the easy argument to make is that Kraft’s role could be the most significant and sticky.
3. Oronde Gadsden II (Chargers)
As a prospect out of Syracuse, Oronde Gadsden II finished two seasons with over 900 receiving yards. The Chargers got a steal in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft by selecting the 6’5 tight end. Despite competing as a rookie with the likes of Ladd McConkey, Keenan Allen, Quentin Johnston, and fellow rookie Tre Harris for targets, we saw some major upside out of Gadsden. Gadsden finished five weeks with five or more catches, two weeks with seven receptions, five weeks with over 60 receiving yards, produced 164 receiving yards in Week 7, scored three touchdowns, finished four weeks as a top 12 Fantasy tight end, and scored 18+ Fantasy Points twice. Clear upside and a clear connection to Justin Herbert.
Keenan Allen likely departs LA in free agency this offseason. The Chargers also hired the Dolphins’ former Head Coach, Mike McDaniel, as their next Offensive Coordinator. In 2025, Darren Waller returned to football to produce 283 yards and six touchdowns in nine games played. In 2024, Jonnu Smith had a career year, catching a team-high 88 balls for 884 yards and eight touchdowns. Waller and Smith’s heavy production at tight end under McDaniel should make you excited for what could be a big breakout year for Gadsden in 2026.
4. Dalton Kincaid (Bills)
The Bills invested a 2023 first-round draft pick into Dalton Kincaid, who finished his rookie campaign with 91 targets, 73 catches, 673 yards, and two touchdowns. Kincaid has yet to out-produce those numbers due to playing 13 and 12 games the last two seasons. In 2025, we did see some flashes despite a low snap share due to health. Through 12 games, Kincaid finished four with six targets, six games with four or more catches, six games with over 40 receiving yards, two games with over 100 receiving yards, he scored five touchdowns, five weeks with 14+ Fantasy Points, and three weeks with 16+ Fantasy Points. The upside was clearly there, but derailed by health.
Being attached to Josh Allen, universally regarded as an elite quarterback, is a great thing. Buffalo continues to not have a true WR1, and even if they find that this offeason the number two target role is still wide open. Kincaid finished top two in both yards per target and yards per reception in 2025, and more than doubled the combination of 2023 + 2024 in receiving touchdowns. A fully healthy 2026 could finally be what we have waited for.
