We have entered the first week of the playoffs in most head-to-head fantasy basketball leagues. At this point in the season there are always some “silly” pickups who can help you win a championship, due to teams resting players. Hopefully one or more of these players can contribute to your team down the final stretch of the fantasy season. Let’s take a look at the week 20 fantasy basketball waiver wire adds.
Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Adds
Brandon Williams, PG, Dallas Mavericks
It’s no secret the Mavericks have been bit by the injury bug. Williams has been able to take full advantage of the situation by logging big minutes over the last couple of weeks. He has averaged 18.8 points, 4.8 assists, 4.0 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.5 three-pointers over the past six games. Williams also has elite percentages over that span, shooting .568 from the field and .909 from the free-throw line. Go grab Williams from your fantasy basketball waiver wire if you’re in need of a solid point guard.
A.J. Lawson, SG, Toronto Raptors
The Raptors are another team suffering from a plethora of injuries at the moment. Lawson is one of the players reaping the benefits. He caught everyone’s attention on March 10th against Washington, with a 32-point, 12-rebound, and seven three-pointer performance. Lawson is averaging 21.8 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 3.5 three-pointers over his last four games. If you need a scoring guard doing a little bit of everything, be sure to add him off the fantasy basketball waiver wire.
Orlando Robinson, C, Toronto Raptors
Robinson is another fantasy basketball waiver wire add from the Toronto Raptors. The center-needy fantasy teams are going to want to pay close attention to Robinson. He has played at least 30 minutes in three of his last four games. Robinson has averaged 15.5 points, 9.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists in those four contests. He also has recorded three double-doubles over that span, highlighted by a 25-point, 12-rebound, six assist performance against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Kevin Porter, PG/SG, Milwaukee Bucks
The Milwaukee Bucks traded for Porter at the deadline and he has ended up playing a sizable role off the bench since being acquired. In his last seven games, he has averaged 11.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.7 three-pointers. The Bucks are poised to be a top-6 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs, so they may be resting some of their stars down the stretch. If that happens, Porter will be an excellent plug-and-play in the fantasy playoffs. Consider adding him off the fantasy basketball waiver wire if you need a guard who can do a little bit of everything.
