Good forwards to streams are always available if you know where to look. This week is like any other and there are some talented young players who are getting a great opportunity and taking advantage of it or just breaking out. That being said, here are three of the top picks to stream this week. Head to your waiver wire right now and get your claims in.
Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire: Forwards to Consider for Week 16
Morgan Frost, Philadelphia Flyers
Morgan Frost has had his moments and stretches of very good hockey in his young career, and right now is one of those stretches. Whether he can continue it for a long period of time remains to be seen. But for now, it is the best opportunity to take advantage of his play and pick him up to stream this week.
Frost has points in five of the past six games and has scored four goals and six points in that time. He is centering Travis Konecny and Owen Tippett on the second line and is also on the top power-play unit where he has recorded two points in the last five games. Frost is shooting more, hitting, and even blocking shots. The Flyers play three times this week. Their opponents are the Detroit Red Wings, New York Rangers, and New York Islanders.
Logan Cooley, Utah Hockey Club
Logan Cooley has been excellent this season in what should be seen as a breakout. He is almost at his goals and points totals from last season at just over halfway through this season. The second-year center has 14 goals and 41 points in 45 games and is on the top line with Clayton Keller and Nick Schmaltz while also playing on the top power play and penalty kill.
Cooley has scored in three straight games and has three goals and six points in the past four games. He hasn’t failed to produce a point in consecutive games in two months. Utah’s power play seems to produce at a very nice pace, so he is also adding that production for you if he’s picked up. While Utah plays the Winnipeg Jets to kick off the week, the team also matches up against the Minnesota Wild, the Jets one more time, and the Ottawa Senators. No matter how good the goaltending has been for these three opponents this season, Utah is going to get goals and Cooley is most likely going to be involved.
Kaapo Kakko, Seattle Kraken
Kaapo Kakko has been a much-improved player since being traded to the Seattle Kraken from the Rangers. After scoring four goals and 14 points in 30 games, he now has four goals and 13 points in 14 games with Seattle. He is playing on the top line with Matty Beniers and Jaden Schwarz and they have formed some great chemistry already.
Kakko has three goals and 10 points in his last eight games and even though he isn’t on the top power-play unit yet, he has still recorded two points on the power-play in his last seven games. For leagues where penalty minutes help out, Kakko has been active in that regard as well as adding a bit of shots, hits, and blocks to the mix. He is really doing everything right now and playing at nearly a point per game. Even though the Kraken only play two more times this week against the Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals, if you add him and hold onto him for a bit longer than just until the end of this week, you will get three games in four days against the Edmonton Oilers, Anaheim Ducks, and San Jose Sharks to kick off next week.

Any of these players should help your team out a lot over this week and Cooley and Kakko will likely be great options for even longer. Make sure to come back next week for more of the top picks to stream at forward.
